I also need to share this initial attempt at a border, based off of an antique pattern (fellow stitchers, I highly recommend the Antique Pattern Library):
couldn’t get the colors to work the way I wanted, but I really enjoy the heart flowers in the corners, and the overall appearance

New Year, New Gender - Free Cross-stitch Pattern
The New Year is a time of reevaluation and reimagination, and what better way to celebrate than with a new gender? A pattern for gender transition, gender questioning, and gender exploration.
Stitched area is 93 by 57 stitches, or about 5″ by 3″ when stitched on 18-count aida. If you’re using 18-ct like I did, one skein of each color is more than enough.
Floss Recommendations
DMC 310 (black) - 824 stitches
ThreadworX Bradley’s Balloons 1154 (rainbow) - 448 stitches

Behold, an art blog! This way you don’t have to follow my personal with random posts in order to see my patterns!
Free Snake Cross-Stitch Pattern
I have made an actual pattern for my adaptation of @gallusdrawseverything‘s “it’s just a phase” snake! It is 165 by 242 stitches and modification is heavily encouraged, as is tagging @cirsiumart by anyone who decides to make this delightful monster stitch. (Also it’s my first pattern and I made it with GIMP, so while I do take constructive criticism, please be gentle.)
The PDF can be accessed here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JgxfqFkdHksgMy22kthz5z5dHNmSoWnr/view?usp=sharing
For those of you asking if it’s for sale, it is not, and will be free forever. If you want to send me a couple bucks to support future art projects and patterns (I’m working on a series of quilt tops inspired by cathedrals right now!), I have a Ko-Fi at https://ko-fi.com/melcirsium.
