There’s an extended trailer and it’s everything:
This trailer leans heavily into the mystery - so excited about the historical aspect, terrified of the zombies. Also, now we know why “teeth” is a thing! And finally an appearance by Connor, a glimpse of the boat from the first episode, scary ghosts and woods scenes, Ace facing something something terrifying with wings, and an amazing father daughter movie night with Ryan and Nancy. A lot to break down. Enjoy!!!

Anybody have suggestions for what I should do for an incredibly short Nace fanfic fragment for the first day of Nacevember?
Instead of doing NaNoWriMo this year, I’m thinking of doing Nacevember instead. Just do one little Nace Fanfic Fragment per day, every single day in November. What do you guys think? Should I do it? Do you have requests that fit my fanfic style/tone/voice?

No matter how close we are, Nancy and I just don’t move through the same world, and it kills me. I want to know her, not just the rundown you’d find on the back of her baseball card, but the real Nancy that’s buried somewhere very far away behind those achingly blue eyes and the hard edge of sarcasm that walks a tightrope stretched between a weapon and a wall meant to keep everyone at a safe distance.
I want to know her, but the thought of getting too close terrifies me. Nancy Drew isn’t the only one around here who keeps people at a safe distance. She’s not the only one who’s gone rounds with a traumatic past and lost. She’s not the only one who’s locked everything and everyone out of her life. She’s not the only one with secrets.
A Quote From My Exclusive "Like a Fungus" Nace Fanfic Fragment
I created the "Like a Fungus" bonus Nace fanfic fragment to reward fellow Nancy Drew fans for tweeting and sharing my 15 Reasons to Watch (and Obsess Over) The CW's Nancy Drew blog post. ❤️

I love every single second of Nace ever. Thank you to all of you who create GIFs of them.
I know I giffed this scene over a week ago but I’m still thinking about this look

I tried to do a felt tip sketch of Kennedy McMann as Nancy Drew. 🤷🏻♀️

I am ready to go boldly, unapologetically, and passionately deeper into my ✨weird phase✨™️, guys. I'm 33 years old, and I don't want to continue stifling all the best parts of myself in order to appease others.

While we're on the topic of my favorite things, The Fall of the House of Usher is one of my favorite stories of all time.
I have this weird theory that, among his other mental and physical health issues, Roderick Usher was also a migraine sufferer. I know that sounds like a weird assertion to make, but hear me out, okay?
Since being diagnosed with what my ENT calls migraine disease, I’m learning a lot about them, and the symptoms go far beyond debilitating headaches (as I was previously led to believe).
The more I think about it, the more I feel certain that Roderick Usher suffered from migraine disease, among other things. Yes, he had a mental health disorder (or disorders), as well, but certain things strike me about Roderick. It just makes sense to me, considering his sensitivity to stimuli and more. Roderick exhibits smell and taste sensitivities/irregularities, as well as sensitivity to light and sound. They didn’t have the terminology for it back when Poe wrote The Fall of the House of Usher, of course. But it just makes absolute sense to me.
I would love to hear other readers' and migraine sufferers' opinions on this theory.

There will literally never be a time when I'm not obsessed with this song, but it's a strange fixation for a girl like me to have. My entire life has been informed by the trauma of losing the people I loved most at a very tender age.
I've been fragile in the worst way for as long as I can remember, haunted by the omnipresent, crushing weight of death and a hyper-awareness of all the people I've loved and lost to death's embrace.
It's strange and deeply ironic that I love this song as much as I do when I've spent my whole life terrified of death taking away more people that I love more dearly than I've ever even thought about loving myself.

This reminds me so much of Roxy and Logan. I wish I knew who the artist was so I could credit them!
