I love how Mob Psycho extends its conviction that anyone can change to the ghosts.
In a lot of media, ghosts are "stuck," trapped as who they were in the moment of their death, and their inability to change is a deliberate contrast to the living characters and half the tragedy of their existence. And I feel like the ghosts in Mob Psycho do all assume that's how things work for them. (But also, at the beginning of the story every character feels trapped and incapable of change.) But they're wrong! Dimple has one of the most beautiful and transformational character arcs in the entire show, and even Mogami is deeply affected by his interactions with Mob. I love how the show doesn't allow for any exceptions to its themes, even in death. Yes, it says, change is always possible, no matter what.
