I understand people wanting to defend and protect their friend - and that's okay. I just think everyone was too reactive, especially because I don't think anyone believed George would actually comment on this.

I wonder how much George actually enjoys scrolling through Private Clarking on stream. Half of what gets posted in there is total cringe. I can't even watch it. People don't think when they post. I wonder if it is age or stupidity.

I do wonder that, too - I definitely think he was hoping for more fun and creative posts. You can tell with how he reacts to certain posts or how he's now only looking through it every few days instead of every stream.

I mean, who wants to react to pics of themselves or people thirsting after him.

Also, multiple people make the SAME posts, so most of the time, you're just scrolling past the duplicates.

After seeing how awful people were to Taila when she started dating Simon, I'm worried for whoever George ends up with. Bare in mind the sidemen audience are mostly men and she still ended up getting death threats. It's going to be 10x worse for George who actually has a active female fanbase.

Unfortunately, all fandoms seem to attract the stranger ones - it seems to be a package deal.

Even if it dies down, in my experience, there's always something else that stirs everyone up again.😫 I just don't understand why we can't just be normal, sane, logical, all that good stuff.

Don't get me wrong. There are positive and wholesome moments most of the time. But it's when the drama starts to outway the good moments that turn me off fandoms - that'll be my cue to leave or take a break.

My cringe level has also been working overtime lately.

Agree - I'm happy that George is getting the recognition that he deserves.

I've just been here before in fandoms when things start getting into the territory of overstepping boundaries. But from what George has said, he seems to be handling it and is not letting it get to him.

The random accusation tweet he read was kinda wild - IMHO, I feel like some people are trying to find a reason to hate George, and they're just popping up out of nowhere, more and more lately.

There's a time, place, and way of expressing your opinion on something he's said or done previously because content creators should be held accountable - but make sure it is true first.🤷‍♀️

It wouldn't be a surprise if he saw it or if mods sent it to him before deleting the posts on PC.

It must be frustrating to him. I mean, not that long ago, on his Q&A stream, he said it was difficult to date because he feared someone seeing him and posting a picture about it.

I do wish George was more assertive and direct instead of making jokes, though.
