Very random, but I was thinking about a what if AU. In particular a Hidge AU of Epic the Musical-

I was thinking the traditional role of maybe Hunk as Odysseus and Pidge as Penelope, buttt—

Wouldn’t it be so good if Hunk was more in the Penelope role? Idk, something just fits with Hunk reuniting with Pidge, Pidge insisting they aren’t the same and he’s just like:

“Listen here- You are my partner, my soulmate, my EVERYTHING. Don’t you be saying “I’m not the same person” okay— 😤😤”

I used to like plance but not anymore because how much nerve pidge had to be a little shit to lance in the show.

In my honest opinion, although I love Pidge I definitely feel Pidge along with Hunk at points weren’t great to Lance in the later seasons. They aren’t the only ones as VLD writers really dwindled a lot of the characters and their relationships such as Shiro, they done the Garrison trio dirty by splitting them up constantly, never realizing Lance’s depression and self-loathing (aside from Hunk in S8 but only when it involved Allura). Pidge never really considered Lance’s feelings in the show when her words did affect him as her friend, which did rub me the wrong way and it was never really treated seriously when he was taking it personally in regards to his self-image. (Which I have a feeling someone will bring up “oh it was just a joke” which I’m aware, but if it makes your friend upset or insecure it stops being funny to me.)

Pidge and Lance could’ve been good for me as a ship on the show if they had genuine development to progress their relationship, that just never happened no matter how many posts or theories I saw about it. S1 had a great hook for that, whether platonically or romantically but never did anything with them. They had potential to develop or have interactions outside the plot to flesh out their friendship and develop, maybe have Pidge realize her words did hurt or to be more mindful since she had difficulty with bonding with other people, like her realizing her words hurt when talking to Allura in S1 but that was never shown for Lance.

I had a disdain for romantic assertions with Pidge and Lance in the sense of “oh this is proof they’re gonna end up together” when they hardly had any mutual development to make that theory believable since they hardly interacted unless Pidge was making fun of Lance or joking about him being the dumb one, along with asserting that Pidge’s reactions are solely romantic instead of Pidge not liking Lance’s ego or just teasing her friend (Majority of the roof was speculation and headcanons from their VA, but nothing in VLD’s story shown romantic interest sorry.) I really dislike how the writers just had Pidge riff on Lance with little regard when it needed something to balance it out when Lance was virtually dealing with stuff by himself in regards to his emotions.

(But also the bad fans back then and in quarantine— phew that was an experience. 💀 Many shippers are great but considering it’s the VLD fandom, the homophobia posts and stuff from shippers like YWNK and getting insane response posts over a tag when I was 17. Yeah that was eugh.)

The ship is fine in fanon, since it’s better expanded on or even rewritten than the canon show. Pidge/Lance are strictly BROTP for me, their relationship just feels only platonic especially with Lance’s many similarities to Matt. Don’t want this post to be misread as ship hate/slander because I’m tired of that, but I am glad I’m not alone with seeing those flaws with how VLD wrote them.

seeing your Lata post made me think - who is your favorite AnS character to draw? Who would you say is the easiest/hardest to draw for you? ^^

I got asked this a while ago, and I really wanted to think about it before i answered hahhaha

Of course, It'd be impossible for me to narrow it down to just one answer for each question so... here we go...

Obi and Shirayuki are probably my two favorite characters to draw. I enjoy drawing Obi's cat-like features...

But I hate drawing his hair, lol. I find it very difficult to draw short and spiky hair.

I also love drawing Shirayuki because she's the easiest to me, and i enjoy coloring her red hair.

I especially enjoy drawing Obi and Shirayuki together since their friendship is one of my favorite dynamics in the manga and because red and green is my favorite color combination ;)

Also, a special mention for Eisetsu. I enjoy drawing black-haired characters a lot, and I love his design.

Like I mentioned earlier, Shirayuki is probably the easiest character for me to draw. A close second, however, is Zen.

I enjoy drawing his hair a lot, and I headcanon him having the type of pink-ish skin where he becomes extremely red and flushed easily hahaha.

I know he has dark blue eyes in canon but I also enjoy imagining him with very striking, ice blue eyes.

The most difficult characters for me to draw are probably Kiki and Kazuki.

Kiki is cool and beautiful, there's something about her calm facial features that is difficult for me to capture in my style. I hope to improve when I draw her more in the future.

And Kazuki... I think I generally struggle drawing younger people so they come out looking odd. Maybe I just struggle with blonde characters? Haha.

I just had to talk about this headcanon I’ve had stuck in my brain for a while because it’s so cute. 😭

So I was thinking on ANS/SWWTRH children or next gen AU. I already got my ideas for Zenyuki kids. (There will be a lot of them lmao)

But I started thinking about Mitsuhide. I already love the aroace headcanon for him especially, but I do feel like after Zen and Shirayuki would marry along with Kiki and Hisame. He would be close to them, especially as an uncle figure to their kids.

However, something deep down in him was jealous. Like he wanted to have that role of being a parent. Then behold, Mitsuhide ends up mentoring a young orphaned child wanting to be a knight themselves. 👀

(At first Mitsuhide would insist he was trying to be a mentor figure, but whenever this kid got into trouble or was hurt the father instincts come in full speed for him. 😭)
