9-1-1 FIRST MEETINGS: → Bobby and the 118

gif 1: As Hen goes around collecting bets re how long Bobby will last as Captain, she says, “All right, folks, five minutes.  House is open.  $20 goes in, $100 pays out.”

gif 2: To Tommy, Sal, and Chim she says, “Listen, we’ve had, like, six captains in two years.  We’re like the Island of Misfit Toys for retiring brass.  Might be nice for somebody to stick around for a while.”

gif 3: Sal gestures at Chimney and responds, “I’m saying the barn burns down or the road needs salting, sure, guy’s a rock star.  Fire at the fair, news at 11:00.”

gif 4: Sal smirks and starts to walk away. As the others follow, he continues, “But L.A.’s gonna look like Mars to this Podunk, and we’re fresh out of training wheels.”

gif 5: The firetruck siren turns on startling everyone and makes them turn around.

gif 6: Bobby steps out of the firetruck and says, “You’re also out of half the supplies that should be stocked on this truck.”

gif 7: Bobby pulls out his wallet and grabs a bill and puts it into the box Hen is using to collect bets. As he does so, he says, “So, give me the odds on lasting longer than one or all of you.”

gif 8: Bobby tosses his money in the box as Hen stares with her mouth hanging open. He walks away and says, “Briefing in five.”
