I think it’s just a common decency to ask the artist before using their art, but let’s turn this moment into a short memo on which of my art it’s ok to use for personal games and whatnots.

✅ Art that I explicitly stated is free to use for personal stuff (I believe, I have maybe 2 free poe portraits) - You’re fine.

✅ Fanart - Generally okay, but it won’t hurt to ask.

❌ Art of my characters - No. 

❌ Commissions - No.

And as it’s not the first time I’m seeing situations like this, there’s always a question - which art did you use?

I do believe this is coming from a good place, but please understand, you are not complimenting me (or many other artists) this way.

Obviously I can’t stop anyone from using art I post (once again, I’m talking about commissions and oc art) for their personal stuff, but the least you could do - is not announce it to me. I do not want to know.
