Just a little drabble with an idea I got in the shower. XD

Sweet Scent (Beel X MC)

“Something smells good.”

All day, Beel has smelled something sweet. It was like candy, but he couldn’t quite tell exactly what it smelled like. He just knew he wanted to eat it.

After returning to the House of Lamentation after classes finally finished, he began to seek out that smell. Though his sense of smell was better than humans, the smell was everywhere. Finding the strongest trail of the scent was hard.

After roaming all over the house, he found where the scent was the strongest. It was the human’s room. Beel came to the conclusion that they must have had some confections from the human world that they’ve been hiding. When the thought of it being a human sweet ran across his mind, he realized why the smell was oddly familiar.

It was honey.

Beel wasted no time in knocking the door. Once the human permitted him in, it took everything in him not to slam the door open off its hinges.

“I smelled something good.” Beel announced as he scanned the room for consumables and let the door shut behind him.

Only, there was nothing that looked like human candy. The human looked at him in confusion as Beel’s eyebrows crinkled.

“Uhm, what did you smell, exactly?” The human asked as they stood up to approach Beel.

“It smelled like…” Beel trailed off as the scent strengthened when the human stood in front of him.

“Like?” The human encouraged Beel to continue. “Like wha-T!” They raised their voice when Beel leaned down to sniff their hair. Beel then shifted to smell their neck. “Beel!?”

“Why do you smell like honey?” Beel innocently asked as drool started to leak out the corner of his mouth. The human blinked before laughing out loud. Beel once again creased his brows as he wiped the drivel off. “What’s so funny?”

“Haha! Beel, that’s my body wash!” The human managed to say as they continued giggling. “It’s vanilla and honey scented. I would show you the bottle, but I’m afraid you’ll drink it all if I do.” The human said with a goofy grin. Beel pouted.

“Then why haven’t you smelled like this before?” Beel asked with genuine confusion. The human chuckled.

“Because the one I used before ran out. It smelled like lavenders, which isn’t a food, so you probably didn’t care.” The human explained. Beel lit up with understanding.

Then his stomach growled.

“I’m hungry.” Beel proceeded to state the obvious. The human gave him a pitiful smile.

“You should go to the kitchen and eat. I don’t have anything you can eat. Sorry.” The human sincerely apologized as they led Beel to the door.

“But, you do have something I can eat.” Beel bluntly informed the human, who returned a look of confusion.

“I do?” They timidly asked as they slowly backed up from the approaching demon.

“Yup.” Beel said before kissing them. The human jumped in surprise, and the kiss ended before they could comprehend what had happened.

“Mm, sweet as honey.”
