REQUESTED BY ANON! - Copia/Aether & hurt/comfort [730 words] OVERVIEW: All the Ghouls are out on tour, leaving Copia feeling lonely and alone in the abbey. Yet solace comes as he talks with Aether about shared experiences during lonely times. READ UNDER THE CUT!

Time dragged on, as had been ever since the band left for the new tour. Copia had been dreading this time since his last show's end, the months when the abbey got quiet, even more quiet than the nights when all of them were there. He sat in his room, now that he was frater he felt as if he couldn't rest. The weight this new role brought pushed down on him every single moment of his day, yet no one seemed to notice. No one minus a certain ghoul, aether. The quintessence ghoul had picked out how Copia had truly felt, more so as he sat alone in his office, fidgeting with objects on his desk and dwelling over photos of the ghouls just a little more than usual. It was only this late night when Copia got a knock at the door, quickly followed by Aether entering the room without waiting for a response - " copia. Are you alright? " aether spoke, leaning on his hands that now laid on the frater's desk. " aether? Oh, aether I'm fine, love, simply feeling a bit weird with how quiet the alley is. " aether sighed as he moved toward the bed and sat next to Copia, pulling him close against his chest. "Are you sure, frater? I find it easy to tell when something is wrong, you do know that, right? " the ghoul's hand began to rub up and down Copias back, it brought a sense of comfort to Frater, and Aether knew exactly that. " you know me too well, " Copia replied quietly, leaning against aether's chest, and laying his head on his chest. The ghoul's embrace was warm, the type you would find from a loving father, it seemed to ease the loneliness that was stuck within copias mind. Aether set his head on top of the frater's own, he knew how it felt, he really did, the first show after he had been taken out had left him in a bad place. " it's not just that cardi, it's that I know how it feels. " " oh? You do? " " yeah, " " go on? " frater listened as the ghoul took in a deep breath, feeling how Aether stopped his hand and simply held him close. The rise and fall of his chest let him remember that he wasn't alone, that someone was there with him. " the first tour when I wasn't up there, it- how do I say this… It caused me to feel how you are now. Alone. forgotten. " he let his breath go, " It was only until one of the other ghouls sat down with me that I really understood how I was feeling. " that hit Copia right where it needed to, he could feel the emotions he pushed back coming up, but this time it was different. " Remember always, this change in role will even out. Even if it feels off, even if it hurts. They're all here for you. You may not be able to control fate, but you can accept it, my love. " Only then did the tears fall. Only then did Aether pull back to look at the Frater's face, to see his makeup dripping down with his tears. " ...Frater? Frater, are you alright? " Aether laid his hand on Copia's cheek, worry visible in his eyes. Thats what Copia loved about him, he wasn't scared to hide how he felt. He gave Aether a smile and chuckled, he never knew how to act when his emotions got the best of him, all he knew was that these tears were different. He finally felt like he would be understood, and he felt loved, it made him wish he had reached out, that he hadn't been scared to be pushed away. " my love, I'm fine Aether, I simply just... " He took a deep breath, trying to keep himself together. " ... I simply just feel, seen, loved. I should have reached out. I love you, my ghoul. " There was a pause before Aether leaned down and pushed his forehead against Copias own. " I love you too. " The ghoul laid back, wrapping his tail around Copias legs, one last tear left Copia as he huddled close. " Now rest, you need it. Hey, Ghoulish here,

Ive gotten 3 prompts, a small number but I thank you 3 anyway. Heads up that im closing Requests when I get a certain number, AND it might take a bit for me to get them done!

I can and will take fic requests based around ships but as of now, NSFW fics are off the board. 2. Please be specific when sending requests. I sometimes struggle to understand what people mean when they don't include enough information. Please remember - Any ships/specific characters, reference material IF NEEDED, a prompt (obviously), the type of fic you want (fluff, angst, etc.), and anything else you think is needed. It is greatly appreciated! 3. If I don't get to your request quickly, don't spam my inbox This seems a bit obvious, yet it's just a reminder just in case. The more you spam DOES NOT give you more of a chance to be picked. I myself have a life and only have certain times when I can write, it may take me a while to finish a fanfic.
