LAST DAY SHOPPING DAY!
Last day in Tokyo ;-;
My group decided to go on a shopping spree in Harajuku and Shibuya (Didn't buy much but it was fun looking around!)

What the..

There was this store called DrugHoney that sold really edgy clothes and accessories, although most of it wasn’t my style, I thought these characters were really cool!

Strawberry tapioca~

>:) Got this pullover, expensive but I had the power of being a foreigner. Tax free prices.

Byebye Tokyo~

TOKYO COMIC CON

TOKYO COMIC CON Y'ALL
Spent the whole day there, it was really fun! I got to see loads of marvel and dc stuff (and really wanted to buy a Dr Strange figurine but I was running low on money...) Tried my first corndog (with cheese!) and a turkey leg too :')
I also visited the artist alley and got to see some amazing artwork and artists. Missed ArtGerm though, he wasn't there that day. Found some NYP seniors there though which was really cool! (Lol they were older than my lecturer)
Anyway, some loot I got:

Cup Noodles Museum, Yokohama

I designed my own noodle cup!

Hehe, cup noodle museum!
Can't say much about it other than that I love it :>
There was a screening about the creation of cupnoodles and the packaging idea/process finally answered my question to why there’s an empty space at the bottom of the cup under the noodles. The noodles are packaged upside down so that the noodles will fit well. It’s not because companies want to scam you for thinking you have a lot of noodles, potato chip bags, basically. (Although I can see companies taking advantage of this to actually make people think that you got a lot of noodles.)

Tokyo University of The Arts, Yokohama

Lol they have these beds for students sleeping in the university.
Had a tour around Tokyo University of the Arts! I'm not gonna lie, I thought it would be some fancy modern school but the place looked more rundown than I thought. Regardless I thought it was cool and the little cubicles for the students were nice! Some cubicles had little beds and I saw two bottles of vodka on one of the tables...
I got a little CD of the graduate’s work from the university, I haven’t watched it yet, gotta find a CD player somewhere. The art here are quite experimental, you’re allowed to use basically any medium to create your pieces, in fact barely any of them were digital animations if I’m not wrong.

Tokyo Animation College, Takadanobaba

Some brochures I got from them.

Had a college tour at Tokyo Animation College. It's focused on anime and the anime style. Not what I was expecting as I didn’t know that there was a school specially focused in anime but there are fine arts training in there as well! Graduates worked on anime like Happy Sugar Life and Demon Slayer, both of which are my favourites in the list of animes they showcased.
I got to take a look at some portfolios from previous students as well, their art works and sketches are really clean and neat.
Found the voice acting rooms cool!

Ghibli Museum, Mitaka

Ghibli time! Couldn't take any pictures inside but everything else outside the place was absolutely beautiful too!
There was a short film that only those that entered the museum could watch, it was extremely cute! I heard that it had been leaked online though, I’m not too surprised but it’s a little sad to hear.
They also had a room filled with storyboards by Miyazaki, concept art and background art for the films. They were mostly watercoloured and it was absolutely stunning to see what kind of things Studio Ghibli would come up with. They had big set ups of rooms seen in the movies (I assume), I made my friends wait for me while had a good look at them hehe.
Ran away with a the little money I had after buying the goods there. Couple of keychains and a tin of biscuits for my family and myself :D

Also lunch before Ghibli Museum :>

Production I.G. Studio

Went to visit Production I.G. Studio too! I was quite surprised that the company used Photoshop to colour their animations though, was expecting some other animation program.
We had a tour in their office and it wasn’t western styled as well, still had cubicles. But their workspaces were really cool! I would say that it was aesthetically messy.
They had different papers for different parts of the animation and apparently inbetweens were drawn on thicker paper? Never found out why.

Sannou Hie Jinja

Visited another shrine yesterday for a sketching exercise! I'll post the sketch someday...maybe.
It was so cold I shivered and my hands were numb. My friend suffered with me, my whole group did. It was the only time I hated the cold.

Harajuku Fun

Went to Purikura to take photos with my group :] It was super fun and I had such a good time!
The girls there wiped their lipstick on the wall beside the mirrors though, I’m so confused? Is it to rub off the dirt from it the previous time? But wouldn’t the walls be dirty as well, what on earth is going on..

ModellingCafe, Shibuya

Forgot to take pictures in the modellingcafe, I don't think I could actually.
But it was a cool experience! The people create virtual heads to be placed on actual bodies of models to create a whole new personality. They even have their own instagram page :]

Also some other things I saw near ModellingCafe :D

Polygon Pictures
I didn't take photos in the studio so let's pretend I did:

Polygon Studios was great! They had a really chill and flexible environment and they're well organised. (+ they animated Ajin :') )
I really liked their work environment and I drooled over the shelves of manga they had in the break room. There’s still cubicles for each employee though, different in comparison to newer offices, especially in western countries where cubicles are eliminated.
Here's some other photos I have
