It had been too longsince he’d seen you. He’d gone home back to China, and he hadn’t been able tosee your face every day like in Japan. He’d known that he’d eventually have togo back to China when he’d gotten into a relationship with you, but still…

He sighed, looking outthe window of the bus he was on. As much as he loved his family and had missedthem when he was in Japan, you’d soothed his aching heart. But now that he waswith his family without you, they weren’t able to fill the void you left. Sure,you Skyped with him whenever you had the chance, but it wasn’t the same as seeingyour smiling face right next to him.

He made his way to thehouse and called out when he walked in. Surprisingly, no one was home. They’dleft a note saying that they’d all be out for most of the night, which made himfeel even worse. He really, really missed you and it physically hurt when hecouldn’t see you. He figured that he’d just go to his room and cuddle a pillowor something, pretending it was you, but really it couldn’t compare.

When he eventually gotto his room and turned on the light, his jaw dropped. You were sitting on hisbed, leaning against the wall, his pillow clutched to your chest as you seemedto be taking a nap. He didn’t want to wake you, but at the same time he wasn’tentirely sure if he was actually seeing you and not hallucinating. He pinchedhis arm to make sure he was lucid and an inhuman noise of absolute joy left hismouth as he flew toward you.

Seeing your boyfriendlaunching in your direction wasn’t the first thing you’d expected to see, soyou tried to scramble away from him in your drowsy haze. When you rememberedwhere you were and that it was actuallyLiu, a similar noise came from you and the two of you met in the middle.

His arms were familiararound you, and you rested against his chest, listening to the pounding of hisheart. He pressed a kiss to the top of your head and no words were spoken forwhat seemed like an eternity, though they weren’t needed.

“How long are youhere?” he whispered, as if scared that if he acknowledged you verbally, you’ddisappear.

“Two weeks,” yougrinned, snuggling into him more. You’d missed him more than words could say,and you couldn’t wait to spend nearly every minute of the next two weeks withhim.

“I love you, _____. Ireally, really love you so much,” Liu pulled your chin up so he could look youin the eyes.

“I love you, too,” youkissed him gently.

When you pulled back,you smiled warmly at him and he grinned back. That was the thing he’d missedmost about you. Sure, he’d seen your smile through the computer screen, but itwas so much different seeing it in person. With you right next to him while yousnuggled on his bed.
