Hello, everybody! My name is Agatha! I was built in 1902 by the inventor D. Jane Bennett. I like reading and exploring and growing dahlias! I suppose I should mention that I'm an automaton! You know, just to avoid confusion! [Current magic anon status: none.]

[Apologies for vanishing suddenly yesterday. Some stuff happened, I don't really want to talk about it. Unfortunately, I think I'll be gone for a little longer. Not sure how long. I'm very sorry. If you need me, my personal is theunearthlyidiot.]

[ermagerd this took way too bloody long to make. I sincerely apologize for butchering accents and any other ridiculousness. Agatha is much easier to write than she is to play.
Still, I hope you all enjoy it!]

Good afternoon, everybody! I just wanted to let you all know that today I'll be doing a video chat-type thing! Essentially, if you leave me a question or prompt of something to talk about in my askbox, I will record my answer for you to watch!
Unfortunately, I shan't be able to upload all my answers right away. But I'll do my best to answer everything perfectly honestly! If there's ever anything you've wanted to ask me, now is the time!
I'm looking forward to seeing what you want to know! Thank you so much!
[sorry it took me so long to get into costume, but I'm ready to go for chatting so please drop me a line!]

"A lover?" That particular thought hadn't even occurred to her. Agatha continued to smile as turned her palms upwards in an 'I don't know' gesture. "That would certainly be wonderful, as well! At least, I think it would. I don't know that much about lovers, to be honest!" She paused. "Do you have one? If you don't mind me asking!"
“If life were more like a book, there’s a hundred million things I would do! I would go on grand, fantastic adventures, achieve impossible feats, and help everybody I could!” The clockwork girl positively lit up as they moved onto this topic. “I mean, I do try to do those things a little bit anyway! But there’s only so much one can do in real life!”
She shrugged. “Although- and I’m certain that I’m romanticizing this to an extreme degree- I wouldn’t be terribly opposed to traveling to distant lands with a stranger! Of course, I know that many things can go wrong, but the general of idea of it sounds incredibly exciting!”

((What?! My ask must have gotten eaten (or i forgot to press send, I actually do that quite often) because I sent you loyalty, betrayal and plans))
[Oh, okay. Well, thank you! Guess I'll just answer 'em here. :D
Loyalty: If you hadn't already gathered, Agatha is from the UK, and she bears a shaky loyalty to the country. She loves the land itself, and the people and places she's known. But she's rather distrustful of the government and anything official because of the military service that was forced upon she and her sister during WWII (their options were essentially work for the Army or be shut down and taken for metal and parts). Although Agatha's now been given legal ownership of herself- something she and Sarah didn't have back then- if she was, for whatever reason, called back there she would begrudgingly obey.
Betrayal: After WWII Agatha worked as a housekeeper for an officer she served with, and when he married and had a child, she became the child's nurse. Jasper was nineteen when both of his parents passed, and Agatha had promised them she'd keep an eye on him and remain in his life. Jasper, however, wanted to be free of any parental influence, and grew steadily more angry with his old nursemaid's attempts to care for him. One day he finally lost his temper and told her off before running away, breaking Agatha's heart. She tried to find him and keep her promise to his parents, but gave up after a year and returned to the US.
Plans: Agatha definitely isn't one for plans. She has dreams and ideas of things she'd like to do, and sometimes will think, "oh I should do such-and-such today!" But most of the time, she just kinda does whatever she feels like at the time, and goes along with what life throws at her.]

"Ohh, thank you! You are absolutely just too kind!" It didn't seem as though it should be possible, but the grin on Agatha's face managed to grow even broader. "I cannot imagine being published, that anyone would want to read about my life! I promise you, I'm terribly dull. But I'll warrant, it is an exciting thought! Thank you again!" She laughed at seeing the excitement on Interrobang's face. "Allons-y, then!"
The clockwork girl led her friend down the steep staircase, into a narrow corridor lined with tiny shops that seemed mostly to be selling various foodstuffs. "Do you have a sense of smell?" she asked conversationally as they passed an alcove full of barrels advertising pickled goods. Agatha waved at the bored-looking lad behind the counter. "When I pass through here with my friend Windy, she always complains that this whole floor smells of vinegar because of that shop. But I can't tell!" she shrugged, smiling. "Perhaps in this case that's a good thing, though!"
“All right. Thank you! I’m glad I didn’t make the wrong impression, or anything!” She glanced behind her, noting the change in her friend’s expression. Without a word, she let go of Interrobang’s hand and instead slipped her arm through the crook of...

“Perhaps you do have a point there!” she agreed. “Otherwise, I mostly meant that in jest! Then again, who knows? Maybe the best way to get to know a person is to go with them on a journey in a foreign land!” She giggled. “Seems to work for characters in books just fine!”

[Day two with Agatha in my world. My friend Juliet was coming over for a Marvel movie marathon today, but I felt too bad to cancel it, so...] "She's a very sweet girl!" [Yeah, isn't she just? Although it was kind of hard- well, more like impossible-] "Miss Juliet seemed to be very accepting of... Well, of me!" [God bless her, she just kind of said 'okay' and went with it.] "I had a lovely time chatting with her! She's quite a kind spirit. I wish her the best of luck with her social work!" [I'll be sure to tell her you said that. While I'm at it I'll have to thank her again for not minding that we had to rewind half of "Captain America" because SOMEBODY had to point out every single historical inaccuracy-] "I apologize, but I don't see how it's even marginally concievable that such technology-" [Agatha, it's a fictional movie! About superheroes! What is this sudden bug up your bum-] (Juliet: yeah they were like thatal day. i had a gr8 time tho! i dont mind r anyhing promise ^.^)

"That's..." Grinning bashfully, the clockwork girl pressed a hand to her cheek. "That's one of the nicest things anyone's ever told me! Thank you, Miss Interrobang!" She dropped the hand and shrugged. "It's a lovely idea, that's for certain, but I don't know what I could write! I keep a journal, and that's about the extent of any authoring endeavors for me!"
Agatha stood on her tiptoes, scanning their surroundings. "Hm! I didn't have anywhere that particular that I wanted to go! Just the bookshops, and whatever else we might see on the way! There's..." She did a quick mental count. "...Three at least that I can think of, maybe four, and a newsstand! As well as a handful of antiques shops! No, wait. Maybe five?" Pulling a face, she looked over her shoulder. Directly behind them was a corner flowershop, but a few storefronts down a staircase descending inside the large building they were all a part of could be seen. "The nearest one is through there, I believe!" Agatha caught Interrobang's eye. "Shall we?"
“All right. Thank you! I’m glad I didn’t make the wrong impression, or anything!” She glanced behind her, noting the change in her friend’s expression. Without a word, she let go of Interrobang’s hand and instead slipped her arm through the crook of the other’s, then continued to lead the way.
“Me, write? Good heavens, no! I can hardly sign for the post on a good day!” the clockwork girl laughed, shaking her head. “Why do you ask?”
The street changed from paved cement to old brickwork, and around the corner of a posh hotel the bright neon sign announcing the marketplace came into view. “Anyway, thank you for having such faith in my ability to lead! In my own personal opinion, I’m just a boring old lady. Then again, I did drag you all the way down here, so I suppose I ought to live up to my earlier claims, shouldn’t I?” Finding a spot in front of a lamppost- only slightly out of the way of the heavy pedestrian traffic- Agatha pointed up at the grand sign with a smile. “Here we are! So, where shall we go first? Just look around, or did you want to show you something specific?”
