one thing I really like about my relationship with my boyfriend is that we can express negative feelings about each other's actions without assigning blame or requiring apology. I mean like for morally neutral things like "it drives me crazy when you leave a wet towel on the floor instead of hanging it up"
cause now like instead of "oh I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to drive you crazy, I'm terrible and unsocialized" or "um well that's dumb, who cares" it's like
"it does? I didn't know that. how come?"
"because it will mildew and I keep tripping over it and I don't know whether you intend to reuse that towel or whether it needs to go in the wash"
"okay so usually if I intend to reuse it I hang it up, and if it needs to go in the wash I drop it on the floor. I guess because I thought I shouldn't put it in the hamper because it would get all the other dirty clothes wet and then THEY might mildew before we do the laundry."
"that's valid. what if we have a specific place to hang wet towels that need to be washed? how about this one hook here"

#if you recognize any of them youve been around A WHILE <- saying this with massive respect#all of these urls are deactivated now from when i did this mass sweep of unused side blogs i had#i think i had one that was a little older than morelulleafeon around 2016ish>?? when sun and moon came out#it was a standard semi daily ask blog featuring the alolan meowth that was newly revealed at the time ;w;#i had more blogs besides these ones but i dont have the pictures anymore or i dont remember what i was trying to do#the extremely short lived ones were when i was trying to do something with ~~ edgy mysterious story~~#with only the vibe in mind and not an actual story or a plan in how i would go about it. i just wanted to try something out of#my comfort zone and bit off more than i could chew lol. ive discovered my way of doing that is more melancholy#and reflective than outright unsettling.. but it taught me smth about myself so thats ok!!!#i feel like i have a better idea of what kind of stories i want to tell and might even say i might have a better grasp on#doing it in the askblog format without constantly thinking about shocking ppl every time i update. which i was annoyed with#myself for even back then. im still working on actually having an ENDING for said stories though bc i suck at finishing things#i do know im definitely doing a pmd story if i ever come back to pokeask because i enjoyed eos THAT MUCH#my art#myart#my oc#oc#pokeask#pokemon ask blog#pkmnask#pokemon#fur

i love reading what ppl have to say abt my work and then going back and trying to find what they saw too <3
#thank u for all the love on my pmd comic ^_^ looking back on it now it seems a lot of the things i tried to express#still got across subconsciously without me noticing it. when i posted it i was a little nervous i might have been going in circles#because i couldnt tell if i was putting enough conscious thought into what i wanted to say. but it looks like its ok !#ive always thought of myself as someone whos not very good at expressing myself and it always oscillates between#extremely straightforward and simple to so many interlaced feelings that dont point towards anything discernible#and then TRANSLATING those thoughts for other people on my face and scripting them so they come off as natural#is exhausting. so if you found the panelling fun congratulations!! thats my way of trying to weave tone into otherwise#toneless dialogue that i had a hard time picturing coming from my ocs mouths#yapping
