— Subspace wasn't used to having his plans thrown off balance. He prided himself on his reputation...mysterious, formidable, someone people kept at arm's length. That suited him just fine. That is, until you showed up. There was just something about you that, from the instant you crossed paths, got under his skin, something that left him feeling off-kilter in ways he wasn't used to. Maybe it was because you never looked impressed with his bravado, or perhaps it was how you always challenged his ideas without batting an eyelash.

— He couldn't quite place his finger on when it happened, but before he knew it, you were all he could think about.

— Unfortunately for Subspace, his attempts to get closer to you were nothing short of disastrous. Subtlety wasn't exactly his strong suit, and every time he tried to approach you, it ended up either awkward or over-the-top. He couldn't figure out how to navigate the delicate balance between showing interest and not coming off as desperate, which, to his horror, he absolutely was.

— "[Name]! You!! let me do that! I have already calculated the best result!!!", he would tell you as you just return him your skepticism. You instantly refuse him and just brush right past him with no regard whatsoever.

— Subspace would just let himself get deflated by that. That happened many times; he just seemed to have never had enough of such occurrences.

— The problem was... you didn't trust him!! While you didn't overtly hate him, you couldn't help but keep your distance. He was unpredictable, erratic, and seemed like the kind of person who caused more problems than he solved.

— Still, he tried. Subspace wasn't the kind of person to go down without a fight, and as time went by, his feelings for you only grew stronger. He started looking for any excuse to be near you, whether it was volunteering for the same missions or conveniently...bumping into you in the hall.

— [Name], I made something for you!!!" he said one day, shoving some strange device into your hands with excitement as you examined it cautiously.

— "It's a personalized defense mechanism! I designed it specifically for your combat style! …Well, theoretically," he added, scratching the back of his neck. "I haven't tested it yet, but I'm ninety eight percent sure it'll work!!!"

— Your first instinct had been to give it back and walk away, but there was something about the expression on his face. Genuinely enthusiastic, he had seemed, and almost hopeful, as though, somehow, the outcome depended on your liking it.

— “Thanks, Subspace. I’ll… give it a try,” you said finally. The way his face lit up was almost endearing...almost.

— You blithely remained oblivious to the fact, even with the best, and rather clumsy, attempts at impressing you. To you, Subspace was just some other weird guy, no more, no less. Every time friends told you his crush was evident, you told them that was utter crap and ridiculous.

— Meanwhile, Subspace was only frustrated. In his head, he'd been clear: he'd dropped hints, gone out of his way to help you, even outright complimented you. And yet, you just didn't seem to get it.

— "Do you really not see it? " he muttered to himself one day, watching as you walked away after another casual dismissal.

— But when you were in danger, all of Subspace's awkwardness disappeared; on missions, he was the first to jump in and defend you, even if it put him in harm's way.

— Later, he'd make light of his actions, brushing off your gratitude with a wave of his hand. "Don't mention it at all!! I have already predicted the outcome!!"

— But it wasn't that at all, and you knew it. Finally, the dogged loyalty of Subspace began to chip its way into your guarded exterior, which had slowly worn you down. You still didn't quite trust him, but couldn't ignore how he always seemed to put your safety over his time and time again.

— One night, following the discharge of a particularly arduous mission, Subspace sat beside you, for once his bravado softened.

— "You know," he began, and his voice was softer than you'd ever heard it. "I might not always get things right, but… you mean a lot to me, [Name]. More than I probably let on."

— You turned to him, taken aback by the sudden softness in his voice. "What are you trying to say?"

— He cast a nervous laugh then hesitated. "Never mind! Forget I said anything! It's not even that important!!!"

— Even if you didn't quite grasp his emotions, Subspace was never waning in his resolve to be there with you, even over the frustration, rejection, and waiting that each minor instant of your time was worth to him. He knew that you would need some time before he's appeared in front of you with his real face, but he was not going to betray that, even at any amount of time. After all, when it came to matters concerning the heart.

Subspace wasn't about to give up without a fight.

It wasn’t intentional, not at all. Just the natural progression of being around someone consistently, but you noticed subtle changes in their behavior. They started answering your questions without snapping and even made an effort to listen.

— Biograft would still pretend they weren’t invested in your friendship, though their actions said otherwise. They’d make logical excuses for their kindness. “YOU LOOK PATHETIC. IT’S NOT THAT I CARE, IT’S JUST COMMON SENSE.”

— Despite their initial reluctance, you became a reliable presence in their life. Biograft began to anticipate your company, even if they wouldn’t admit it. When you weren’t around, they noticed the absence in a way that annoyed them at first. “WHERE WERE YOU? YOU WASTED MY TIME."

Eventually, Biograft would most likely admit grudgingly that your friendship mattered to them. It wouldn’t be a grand confession, but more of an offhand remark during a quiet moment. “I SUPPOSE YOU CAN STAY AROUND A BIT LONGER.” Coming from them, it was practically a heartfelt declaration.

And Ranpo, sharpness of perception aside, noticed it the very moment it happened. He didn't need words at all, the way you looked at him said it all. But even then, he said nothing. Ranpo wasn't quite sure how to approach it, or how to acknowledge the fact that those feelings you had for him weren't one sided. So he kept his distance, held his usual aloofness close as though this too was a passing thought. But inside, a small part of him couldn't help it when you were around.

— As more time passed and your feelings for him deepened, the more Ranpo picked up on little things you did, how you'd always ask if he was okay, how you made sure he didn't work too much, or how you seemed to be that one person not fazed by his snide comments and straight forwardness. Slowly but surely, the walls Ranpo had put up started to come down. Not that he'd admit it, of course. But you were different, and somewhere along the way, he found himself drawn to you in a way he hadn't expected.

— It became painfully obvious to everyone around you. The rest of the Armed Detective Agency could see it, and even the most oblivious in the group began to notice how you two were constantly together. An undeniable bond, that was you and Ranpo against the world, no one could disregard it. It was because he shared snacks with you, because he did tiny, kind things that he didn't always do with anyone else, and it was in the softening of his eyes when he looked at you, in offering a smirk that was customarily yours alone. Dazai, keen as ever to observe such signals, could see that. "You two are so obvious, it's almost painful to watch," he'd joke, though Ranpo would just roll his eyes and change the subject, not willing to admit the truth.

— Whenever you had a mission, Ranpo was always the first to jump up, eager to offer his help. "Of course, I'm the best person for the job! Nobody's better at this than I am," he'd exclaim with his typical confidence and with a smile to match. Turn him down? Ranpo isn't really one to sulk, honestly, for his emotions readily flit into the open, dramatically flop himself into a chair, miserable as can be. The rest of the agency would most likely hear a grumbled, "It's fine, I wasn't waiting for you to need me anyway," followed by an exaggerated pout that would last for hours.

— But if you did take him up on the offer, well, things would go rather differently. You might think that you'd be the one doing the work, but Ranpo had other plans. He would suddenly take over the mission with a mischievous grin, leaving you to just watch as he did everything with ease. "Why bother exhausting yourself when the world's greatest detective is right here? ", he'd say, as if it was the most apparent thing in the world, and you'd find yourself getting swept up in his energy, letting him take the reins while you relaxed.

— He's always mostly worried that you won't get too tired, like there's absolutely no point in your doing something he can do so much quicker, and in his mind, better. Once the mission was complete, there was always one thing you could count on, Ranpo would drag you to a candy store. Or, if you were lucky, an ice cream parlor. You didn't even have to ask, he would insist that it was a great way to "celebrate" your successful mission. You'd find yourself smiling as he pushed different candies or snacks on you, his excitement practically contagious. "Here, try this one! You've never had it before, right?! " He'd grin like a kid in a candy store himself, enjoying the moment just as much as you did.

— Of course, you didn't mind. There was just something so sweet about sharing those moments with him, and he was practically radiating joy as you both indulged in the most basic of pleasures. The time finally came when you could no longer hide your feelings for him. You took a deep breath and confessed. The look on Ranpo's face was priceless, an amalgamation of surprise and playful disappointment. "Took you long enough," he'd tease, his eyes sparkling with so much warmer inside. "But it's fine. I like you too, y'know?"

— Ranpo wasn't one for dramatic declarations, but in that moment, his words held a volume within them. His feelings toward you were already so clear to everyone around him, even if he himself hadn't been aware of it. And with that, everything shifted. Since then, Ranpo made sure you were always paired up on missions. That is to say, not by chance but he'd go out of his way to request it.

— "It's gonna be so much more fun if we're together," he said with a mischievous grin. Whatever the mission was, he didn't care, just as long as you were there, he was fine. He had been more than happy to follow Fukuzawa's orders but with one condition, that he get to have you by his side. Of course, it wasn't just about work. Ranpo would introduce you to new snacks, always be on the lookout for new things to try, each time excitedly getting ready to share with you as he beamed with pride when you sampled something new.

— "I bet you've never had this before! This one's my favorite," he'd say, eyes sparkling with excitement. It was clear his joy didn't just come from the snacks themselves, it came from sharing those experiences with you. Your dates with Ranpo became a simple, sweet affair. Whether it was an excursion to the candy store, having a picnic in the park with snacks in tow, or even wandering around a festival enjoying the views and the treats, the best of it all was that you were together. Ranpo didn't need anything more than your company, the same went for you. He always let you be happy, always found new ways to make you laugh, and he always saw you never went tired or stressed because, for as long as the world's greatest detective was there, you didn't need to bother about a thing at all.

When he realized your instant mood change, he could've sworn yesterday you were so happy ! And now you ... looked really mad. He thought he had committed something wrong or thought you misunderstood something, which made him extremely scared. Poor sigma, he doesn't even know what was going on until you explained how period works and the side effects.

Eventually, after he was finally done dealing with the casino customers, he immediately went there to comfort you and tried to help you by cuddling with you as you groaned and complaining in pain due to how painful the cramps were.

Of course your boyfriend is there to listen while cuddling with you as you keep complaining, just keep talking for twenty six hours, he wouldn't mind at all, he doesn't actually mind hearing you talking all day. Sadly he has to deal with the customers at the casino too, so maybe not always.

Not only that, he'll most likely try to find a way to spend more time with you and try to find a way to make you feel happy so you could forget your cramps, he actually genuinely feels upset you have to go through such a pain ! He's definitely going to try his best to make you feel comfortable, cozy and definitely happy so you wouldn't feel irritated because of your period !

Overall, he's an extremely caring boyfriend who definitely will try his best to help you !, you're his significant other after all, of course he's going to help you as much as possible! he already promised himself that he will make you happy as long as you're with him, together.

" Is... is this warm enough for you?, if it's not warm enough I can get you some blankets and make you a tea. I don't like seeing you in pain at all, so if you need something please tell me. Twst Merch Giveaway: Light-Up Magical Pen (Twst Fes version)

What: One light-up magical pen with a "Twisted Wonderland Fes" strap.

The "magestone" part of this pen can light up in seven different, interchangeable colors. These were particularly fun at Twst Fes, where the audience would change the colors of their light depending upon what seiyuu was speaking at the time.

This pen (still in packaging, seen above) was actually purchased from the Twisted Wonderland Exhibition in Yokohama rather than from Twst Fes itself, but "Twisted Wonderland Fes" is written on the strap. It is also available via Aniplex's Online Store.
