Today’s Topic: The makeup I use and reviews on them!

Hey y’all! Welcome back to #coffeewithheather ! As always, grab a coffee and come blog with me! 

Today, I want to talk about the makeup I use on a daily basis and give you a few short reviews on them! Please note, these are my opinions on the products so the reviews may be different than your opinions and that’s okay!

Let’s talk about eyeliner first! 

I prefer to use liquid eyeliner because I feel like it applies smoother and you have a better handling of the stroke you want. I always do the winged eyeliner so the ones I feel are best for me are two different brands. Eyeko London and Wet N’ Wild!

Review:

The only product I’ve tried from them is their Skinny Liquid Eyeliner (Black). I love it because it’s precise, smudge-proof and just over all amazing quality. It stays on all day and even all night (when I don’t wash my face) and it’s practically waterproof! The only time it comes off is when you actually rub it which then makes you look like you have raccoon eyes lol. The one I use is a gorgeous matte black and it’s a little pricier ($22) at Ulta Beauty. It is NOT tested on animals! The link above is to Ulta Beauty’s website! :)

Wet N’ Wild.

Review:

I’ve tried a few products from them but my favorite is their Megaliner (black). I love this eyeliner because it is NOT tested on animals (thank goodness!), and it’s pretty much a paint brush! Just think of your eyelid as a canvas and paint away! The one I use is a gorgeous matte black and dries instantly! It comes in purple, black, blue and brown and It’s under $5! You can pretty much find it anywhere like the dollar store, Walmart, Ulta, Target, Walgreens and their website! The link above is the link to Walmart’s website :)

Now, let’s talk about lips!

The only lip product I use is by ARROW. I don’t use lipstick or lipgloss, I really mainly only use lip balm!

Review: 

I really honestly love this product. I’m pretty sure you’re really supposed to use it when you’re wearing lip gloss or lip stick but I like to wear it by itself because it brings out the color of my natural lips and moisturizes at the same time! It’s a color enhancing lip balm and  It’s a little on the pricier side for a lip balm ($14) at Walgreens. It is NOT tested on animals! The link above is the link to Walgreen’s website! :)

Let’s talk about foundation!

I LOVE foundation, it seriously helps my skin. Especially if it’s a UV Ray protection and moisturizer all in one! 

Maybelline New York FIT ME!

Review:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this foundation, I can’t stress this enough! It’s NOT tested on animals, it’s a matte finish and it’s poreless! It comes in all different shades so there’s definitely a shade for every single skin tone! It’s under $10 and practically sold at any store like Walmart, Target, The Dollar Store and Maybelline’s website! It spreads evenly and I can notice a huge difference in my skin once I put it on! It’s lightweight and lasts all day and all night. 

Let’s talk about primer!

You don’t necessarily have to use primer but I use it because it helps my makeup stay on longer and also makes it waterproof! 

Beauty Treats Perfecting Primer.

Review: 

This primer is my go-to, I won’t use any other one! It’s literally less than $5 and it gives me a FLAWLESS makeup application! They’re NOT tested on animals, smooths out pores and fine lines, let’s you glide your makeup on easily, and lasts all day! It’s honestly the best way to start your makeup application! Let’s talk about powder! 

I absolutely adore the pressed powder because it applies much better, in my opinion!

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder.

Review: 

This powder is literally the best powder I’ve found for the cheap price of under $8.  It helps minimize the appearance of pores and hides imperfections for flawless skin. The only downside is that it only lasts for up to 5 hours so you’ll have to reapply it every 5 hours. Another downfall of this powder is it only does a tiny bit for my skin. It also comes off when you touch it even the slightest bit. You can find this at any local Walmart, Target, RiteAid and CVS! The link above is Rimmel London’s link! :)

Let’s talk about eyebrows! 

Everytime I do my makeup, I ALWAYS do my eyebrows too! I don’t make them pointy or cover them and draw them on, I just simply use an eyebrow powder kit! There’s two kinds I use.

Ariposa Eyebrow Kit Powder.

You honestly can’t find this specific product anymore but I found it at a place called Gabe’s.

Review:

I love this kit, it comes with eyebrow wax, 3 different eyebrow powders, tweezers and an applicator. I pretty much use the dark brown for my brows because I feel like it looks better overall. I would recommend this kit to anyone, if they can find it! 

Profusion Complete Brow Collection.

I just recently bought this product and I’m sort of iffy about it. It comes with brow wax, 10 different brow powders, brow highlighter, brow pencil, tweezers, stencils, an applicator, brow gel and a brush for the highlighter. Honestly, I bought it from Ross (kind of a second hand store) and don’t get me wrong, it’s a lot for the price of $8.99 but I honestly don’t really like it. I guess it’s just because none of the eyebrow powders look good, I don’t use wax or the gel, I don’t use highlighter and I don’t use a brow pencil. So technically, I’m only using like not even half of this kit.

Real Techniques Powder Brush.

This brush is BRAVO. It applys my pressed powder PERFECTLY, it looks, feels and acts like a $70 brush from MAC when it’s really a $10 brush! It’s literally perfect. 

Moda Pro Buffer

This brush is FABULOUS. I use it for blush and my foundation! Like the RT brush, it looks, feels and acts like a $70 brush when it’s really an $8 brush! It’s flawless and you should definitely try it!

Today’s Topic: Lucifer (Seasons 1-4).

Hey ya’ll, welcome back to Coffee With Heather and as always, grab a coffee and blog with me! :)

Today’s topic is, yep, you guessed it.

 *Some* hopes and dreams for what comes after season 4 of Lucifer as well as a quick review of the first 4 seasons. 

Let’s dig in, shall we?

So, if you haven’t watched Lucifer at all, you really should, in my opinion and you shouldn’t read this blog post since it’ll most likely contain spoilers.

I wanna talk about the relationship between Lucifer, DT Douche (Dan) and Chloe (DT Decker.) I feel in season 1 when we first see Dan, he’s practically trying to protect Chloe AND sabotage her by telling her it’s not good to be working these kinds of cases, blah blah blah (never liked him anyway). So, I was really scheptical about him and I still am, believe me. Now the relationship between Dan and Lucifer is where I’m actually a bit angry. Lucifer is the devil, right, and I understand that no one actually believes him even though he’s literally doing everything and anything that PROVES he’s not human (if I saw all that, I’d freak and probs run the other way). But the way Dan treats Lucifer isn’t very nice until, of course, the end of season 3 and all through season 4. Dan kept telling himself that Lucifer was trying to steal his woman, (well, Chloe isn’t your wife anymore soooo), I mean I understand where Dan is coming from BUT still, she isn’t his wife anymore (or they’re in a divorce) so he has no right. Now, onto the relationship between Lucifer and Chloe. When we first saw Lucifer in the beginning, I was just as annoyed by him as Chloe was. He was obnoxious, annoying, self centered, vain and who knows what else so I see where she’s coming from in season 1. I noticed as the seasons went on, she kind of started to grow a liking to him (I guess that’s what you’d call it.) but we don’t really notice until almost the ending of season 3. I really like how Lucifer and Chloe do things for eachother as “gifts” like she helped save Lux and he helped protect her and solve cases. I would honestly love to see Lucifer and Chloe together as a couple but honestly, I’m not even sure how that would even happen since he’s the king of Hell and she’s just a human on Earth. There’s no such thing as a “long distance relationship” when one is in Hell and the other is on Earth, that’s just crazy. 

Lastly, I wanna talk about my all time favorite scene in Lucifer (and no, it’s not Tom Ellis naked). It’s the ending scenes of the season 3 finale. The reason why I’m so in love with these scenes is because:

1. Lucifer literally throws his wings around Chloe after she was shot and proceeded to protect her at all costs even though it means his wings will be jeapordized in the process.

2. You can honestly see the love and passion he has for Chloe when she sees his Devil face for the first time, it seemed to me like he didn’t know how to react to her reaction, ya know?

He’s just an overall great person/devil that seems like he doesn’t want to be the devil, he doesn’t want to be evil, he wants love, he wants someone to care for him, he wants someone to tell him he’s their world. He doesn’t want others to think of him as a monster because the only reason he’s actually in Hell is because his father thew him out of Heaven so he had no choice but to become the king of Hell.

In my opinion, Lucifer is what every guy should be like. Yeah, he parties alot and sleeps with alot of women but that’s him trying to fill the void in his heart from being banished and practically disowned by his father. Everyone has their own way of dealing with hurt and pain, so I completely understand.

Since we’re on the topic, let’s talk about what I think will happen if Netflix decided to make a season 5 (I would honestly love every bit of that.)

So, I feel like since season 4 ended with Lucifer going back to Hell to keep the demons contained, there really is no possibility for Chloe and him. Unless something happens on Earth (maybe to Chloe) that will set Lucifer off and he’ll be forced to return to Earth because of his love for Chloe. If you think about it and if you heard what he said before he left for Hell, he told her “the prophesy was wrong. Eve wasn’t my first love, it’s you.” then he told her he loved her a bit before so that can really only be the logical reason for them to return to each other.

Who wouldn’t want a Lucifer in their life? (I know I do!)
