But like I kinda stopped watching Med after Sarah left then completely after Connor so it makes me sad now to realise that even if I tune in like the majority of the OG staff/family are gone...

Just watched Season 2 of The Mentalist for the first time...

The found family of the CBI ❤️

Gahhhh the slow dance scene between Jane and Lisbon. Also a little piece of her breaks every time she has to tell him about a Red John murder.

Van Pelt and Rigsby are done so well! Their story is background but it's got such good progress and it continues between episodes without having to spell it all out.

Also slow clap for all of Cho's amazing clap backs. He's such a legend.

I love how season one landed us into the unit dynamic without info dumping but their backgrounds now trickle into the stories and give us such great world-building.

I thought the Bosco storyline could have gone in for another few episodes like a mid season finale.

Having Red John release Jane is such a good twist and this show just keeps hitting so well.

Also love using the same lot as Gilmore Girls, Hart of Dixie, PLL. I laughed so hard when Lukes was a hardware again.

Seriously this is my new favourite show.

Lisbon and Jane are the slow burn of the century. I was looking at old interviews where they and the writers were like nah there's no love there. But seriously it's done so well that the shippers can ship while the people who don't care can still enjoy the show. But their dynamic has me by the throat.

More mentoring Torres like Kim did this season, seeing the people we once saw as the newbies becoming the old guard is so wholesome

Keep Petrovic - I know she's a detective but she's such special knowledge it's reminiscent of having the likes of Nadia and Mouse around, someone team adjacent who gives a new perspective

I don't want anymore new cops, we have Torres for the beginner vibes but I've seen pictures of Jon Seda hanging about...perfect timing to have Antonio back! The unit has fundamentally changed and they need someone with experience plus now he would be Voights No 2 really now that Upstead aren't there

A OneChicagoCrossover again PLEASE, I'm missing my One Chicago universe bonds. Herrmanns eldest kids could become cops about now right?

I wish Chicago PD would take a leaf out of The Rookies book....like at least with the ensemble in The Rookie I know that these people are friends, I know that they all know each other, I know that even peripheral characters like Tamara and Wesley are key to the show. I would believe that they could all call each other in everyday crisis.

With Chicago PD I think its lost (did it ever really have?) that dynamic. I don't know if I believe that Trudy would ask about Makayla, I don't think Voight would ask after Kevin's brother and sister, did the team ever bring Torres to Mollys to hang out??

Everyone was shattered when Al died....I don't think that bond is there anymore?

The finale was so focused on Hailey and Voight that it seemed to disregard that Adam, Kim and Kev have know him like 6 years more than her, they didn't seem all the worried he was missing?

Basically I'm hoping that we get more of an outside of work focus for the characters next season. *sighs*
