Heyo! It's me again! Yo have you read the novel The Shining? And if so, do you like it? Is it better than the movie? Do like movie Jack or book Jack better? And why? (Cause obviously for me it's movie Jack cause Jack Nicholson 🤪)

Yeah, I have read the novel!! I really liked it, I actually read it first and then watched the movie. I’ve gotta say I really like the movie but theres just something about the novel that I like more, I think it’s because the characters have more interesting personalities in the book.

When I watched the movie I was little disappointed, honestly, I expected it to reflect the book a little bit more, but I still really liked it!

I definitely like book Jack more, in the movie he feels a little bit like a one-note villain. In the book, he still sucks, I mean, he failed at being a teacher, father, husband, writer, caretaker and even failed at killing his family, but theres something I find so endearing about Jack Torrance. I think it’s because, despite being a failure at pretty much everything, he still makes an effort to be a decent person, like he really does try for Wendy and Danny, and theres just something so real about how he’s written. Hes a deeply flawed man, but theres something familiar about him, he’s got problems, but doesn’t everyone?

And I love how Wendy, even though she was originally going to leave him, she still loved him unconditionally. I feel even if she had left him, she would still love Jack, but she needs to do what’s best for Danny.

Also while reading the book, all I could imagine was Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall, I know Wendy is blonde in the book, but I can’t see anybody else besides Shelley

Heyo! It's me again! If Jack Nicholson would be in any movie, what movie would you want him to be in? Like a horror film, comedy, drama, romance (😍), or a disney movie even!

And I wonder why he never does interviews except a few exceptions. Do you think it's because he doesn't want to be on TV, or wants to keep his personal life private? Cause I feel like he's really mysterious in a way. And I noticed he wears sunglasses on public. Like Jack my love! I wanna see your beautiful hazel eyes! Don't shy them away from meeeeee 😭

I think maybe seeing him in a more serious Sci-Fi movie would be cool, aside from Mars Attacks. Maybe a movie like Total Recall!!

And I’ve been thinking, I can totally see him play Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs, like he’d be perfect for that role honestly! He does that psychotic stare so well

And about interviews, ive noticed that too, he doesn’t do many interviews, I did read something about him, it was like a quote, and it was something along the lines of “I don’t want people to know what I’m actually like” or something like that. IT WAS SO OMINOUS,,

And those sunglasses he wears, I feel like are just his style yknow? I mean, they’ve honestly become a little iconic to his appearance, but you’re so right he does have really pretty eyes!!

Hi! This is like a random question but do you ever think Jack Nicholson will act again? Cause he hasn't been acting for more than 11 years or something? *hugs him as Jack Torrance with a kiss on his cheek lovingly* I miss my boo 😭

Ive read quite a few articles saying he hasn’t OFFICIALLY retired from acting, but I can’t see him acting again any time soon. Ive also seen some people say that he might have dementia or that he’s mentally declining, but a lot of people seem to dismiss that and say it’s just a rumour. I personally don’t think he’ll act again though just because he might want to spend his time doing stuff HE enjoys, maybe even spend time with family, who knows! I’ve seen actors/actresses older than him still acting, like June Squibb, and she was starring in an action film too 😭 Out of all the reasons he may have retired, I doubt it was from old age, I’ve noticed when I look at his filmography, there will be maybe, 3 year gaps in his films, I just assumed he took a break. That could be the same with this, except he’s been on break for about 15 years now.

Since he never really officially announced that he would retire, I guess there is always a chance for him to act again though!

I believe this is from this year, it’s the most recent photo I’ve seen of him, for 87, he looks pretty healthy!
