Dating is never easy, am I right? Written for the first round of the NYC Midnight 2020 Short Story Challenge, the criteria for the story was to write a romantic comedy that included a substitute teacher and cooking. Colby Newton had NEVER written a romantic comedy before, so to hurtle the challenge, he tied in a post-apocalyptic future, cannibals, and body horror. You know...as one does when writing a rom-com.
