Just thought of some ocean saga analysis amd since I'm overstim you're all gonna hear about it.
Okay, so in ruthlessness, when poseidon asks odysseus to apologise, instead of properly apologising, odysseus instead tries to defend himself towards the god, rightfully so, but it's not what poseidon wanted, leading him to then wreck odysseus.
I see this as an analysis of both characters.
Odysseus as his possible inability to admit fault when he sees himself in the right even towards God's, instead of just apologising he gave this whole speech of how he didn't want to hurt the cyclops and whatnot, justifying himself.
Poseidon as his own ego, yes ody didn't give him a direct "I'm sorry", but he still did say that the pain towards his son wasn't intended, only defense, giving him an indirect apology, showing how poseidon doesn't accept things unless it's exactly what he asked for.
Basically the whole encounter is like a double edged sword.
Also, we don't even know if poseidon would've accepted odysseus's apology anyways, like how zeus makes athena fight him anyways in god games. Either way it's an interesting thought.
If you agree or disagree pls let me know and why. I'm curious for other opinions.

I had motivation to organise my room and try to find my one lost glove
I started and lost motivation
Now my floor is a mess, my bed is over run with clothes and I regret everything and can barely continue
This is both the saddest and most relatable thing for autistic people. :D

Random thing for people
I just started watching Pirates of the Caribbean
Currently rewarching the first one even tho I saw it yesrerday
Probably gonna watch the rest tmr
(Big spoilers for the black pearl)
Anyways...
What's ur favourite POC movie and why?
Side note- why is Jack so fucking hot in the first film and why do I find James Norrington weirdly attractive in some way
Like he's a rich British leading officer who's a cocky bastard and annoying twat... but why the hell not y'know?
-also wtf if he going after Elizabeth??? -after being properly informed I still find it weird. Like yeah they're close enough in age but his whole thing with her is still uncomfortable to me, like he only cares for her probably beacuase if her money and beauty -fair enough for the time- but like he also doesn't seem to care for her over himself he didnt go after her at the start just cause of the rocks and the fact he only listens to her wishes after she promises it as a wedding present, it just all seems derived of his own ego and hipocracy.
Like he probably does only have a desire for her rather than love, probably why he let her go to Will, but it's just too tense for my liking. -probably intentional by the writers, but I'm too lazy to research
Also Jack being intimidating and athletic is mmmhhhh
Oh and the Governor looks like an oompah loopah put the Johnny Dep version, prove me wrong.
(Tell me someone has any similar views pls 😭)

HOLY SHIT
IF YOU HAVE NOT LISTEN TO THE INSTRUMENTAL VERSION OF HOLD THEM DOWN DO IT NOW
RIGHT FUCKING NOW!!!
IT IS A MASTERPEICE
EVEN WITHOUT THE VOICES IT STILL CARRIES SUCH WEIGHT WITH THE PERCUSSION ALONE AND THE STRINGS GIVE IT SUCH A HORRIFIC YET POETIC MEANING AS WITH THE POINT WHEN HE TALKS ABOUT BREAKING PENENELOPE'S ROOM ANTINOUS'S VOICE IS LTTERALLY ACCOMPANIED BY A VIOLA (I think it's too high to be a cello or violin) WHICH GIVES IT EVEN MORE MEANING AND THE MOMENTS OF SILENCE ARE JUST PERFECTLY PLACED TO THE POINT THAT I GOT SHIVERS FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE SONG
IT IS BOTH ANIMALISTIC AND A SYMPHONY IN ITS OWN RIGHT AND IT IS A FUCKING MASTERPEICE OF ARTWORK
JORGE CRAFTED IT IN SUCH A WAY THAT YOU CAN IMAGINE THEIR ACTIONS JUST BY THE INSTRUMENTS ALONE
IT IS PURE MONSTROUS BEAUTY
GO LISTEN TO IT.
MIME THE WORDS - IT MAKES IT TEN TIMES MORE CHILLING TO DO SO
I HAVEN'T STIMMED THIS MUCH IN FUCKING AGES
GO DO IT NOW.
-sry for the caps this just made me really wanna rant like beyon normal

I just realised
Around the wisdom saga, telemachus would not have yet been an adult
He's 20 when Odysseus returns and the wisdom saga is a good bit before that
So does anyone who's read the Odyssy or anything know how old he actually was?
Thx
-i just listened to the wisdom saga
I'm fucking stupid

I absolutely love this idea
my favorite hc is that penelope was told by the ladies in waiting to go and stay in her room and not to come out for anyone
and she hears screams and whatnot and is like oh fuck now theyve done it, the suitors are gonna destroy the place
only to hear the screams lessen in volume and being like ? are they killing each other?
but then she hears a scream clear as day "THIS WILL BE YOUR FATE" and she's like🧍♀️no fuckin shot my husband is down there on a murder spree
and she immediately starts pacing back and forth like "LADIES HELP ME PREPARE I NEED TO LOOK DIVINE" and it's a full makeover sequence
and they're posing her and being like "hold on, tilt your chin up a little bit, turn to the side like 12 degrees- BOOM my lady you are serving such cunt"
and then they hear odysseus' loud ass steps going up the stairs and all the ladies scatter while penelope tries to look nonchalant like "AHEM....😳 is it you? have my prayers been answered?"

I just realised that in "Get in the water", Poseidon's threat of "I'll take your son and gouge his eyes" could very easily link to what Odysseus did to Polyphemus by spearing out his eye, especially considering that Poseidon's main weapon is a trident, most likely what he would use to gouge out Telemachus's eyes.
Probably a link to how he wants Odysseus to feel the pain he's been clinging onto for two decades now, but idk, God's can be petty like that.
-Unless you've seen the animation by Neal Illistrator, in which this probably links to more directly with the whole family thing

Okay
In The Horse and The Infant.
When it goes
"Penelope
Penelope
And Telemachus
I fight for us
I fight for us"
All I hear is
"I fight for arse"
"I fight for arse"
It's been that way since I first heard it and I need to know that someone feels the same way.
