I've been thinking

A lot of depictions and written works about Cas saving Dean from hell are real vague, or are real holy and about Dean's beautiful soul or whatever

Is there a fic that talks about how disgusted Cas would've been, flying down to hell along with the garrison and finding Michael's Vessel doing the most deplorable, torturous things to someone on the rack?

Like, no love at first sight. Cas sees his charge and is revolted by the terrible acts he's committing. The acts that broke the last seal. Torture and pain being committed by the hands of someone who's supposed to be the vessel of an archangel

You ever think about how, what if

What if Cas branded Dean as punishment

A small bit of rebellion. A small bit of reprimand that he could get away with

You ever think Cas, in his state of being under heaven's control, has thought about the holy punishment Dean would've received if he were an angel like him

Do you think about how Cas might've thought Dean deserved to be in hell before he got to know him

Part 3 of Dean Teaching Castiel New Things!

It was supposed to be a surprise

Cas wanted to thank Dean for teaching him new things and being so patient with him (Even though Cas can barely recall any of Dean's advice)

Pancakes seemed appropriate. Easy even. The box mix was very clear, and he had watched Dean make them before

What he didn't expect was for Dean to be up early for once, strutting up behind Castiel as he had batter on the pan and just... draped himself over Castiel like he had done many times during their 'lessons'

And like before, all higher cognitive functions became more difficult as Dean hooked his chin over Castiel's shoulder and grabbed at his wrist

"Cas, Buddy" He chides, face practically pressed up against Castiel's "Keep it steady..."

After that, Castiel had no idea what had happened

One second, he was glaring at his half-formed pancake, his entire being on fire as he tried to focus; the next, he was sitting at the table with a whole stack of pancakes in front of him, and Dean bickering with Sam over dish duty

So much for those "Thank you Pancakes"

- Use brushes you haven’t used before (bonus points if you use them wrong)

- Focus on gesture and flow, no anatomy here

Counter argument

Cause Cas rarely gets to be passenger princess, he sits on that side so he can pretend he is

I've been thinking about this for a while now but every time Cas is in Baby with Dean he almost always chooses to sit behind Sam.

(excuse the lack of images... I'm having a really hard time finding pictures of Cas in the backseat of the impala through google since I wasn't about to watch 267 episodes just for that ahaha *cries*)

Even in 9x10, when Dean tells Cas to sit in the back with Crowley, Cas specifically tells Crowley (who had sat diagonally from Dean) to move over because he's, quote, "on my side."

So I'm guessing that this means that Cas has a side whenever he isn't sitting shotgun and that that side is right behind Sam.

My explanation for this is that that particular seat gives Cas the best view of Dean's face while talking to him (or not... it's good for just staring too) and vice versa. Dean can also turn his head back a little and see him/talk to him much easier than if Cas sat behind Dean.

HOWEVER!! One scene does stick out to me. It's during that famous car ride in 12x10 when Dean and Cas are pissed at each other. Cas, for some reason, chooses to sit in the middle, even leaning more towards Dean's side

I really think Cas definitely sat there on purpose so that he wouldn't have to look at Dean's face and Dean wouldn't be able to see him... therefore giving Cas the chance to roll his eyes or raise his dom!eyebrow at whatever Dean is saying. It makes it even funnier when Dean's like "WHaT's tHaT sUpPoSeD To MeAn???" and he has to crane his neck so far back that Sam has to tell him to watch the road.

I feel like further proof of this is how most people sit in the middle when in the backseat of the Impala since it's easier to see both Dean and Sam at the same time

(^ this last one isn't the Impala but whatever... it still counts)

Cas is apparently either really into staring at Dean at every possible moment or he just doesn't like Sam's face (no offence to Sam), but I really don't think the latter is the case.

Cas' just pining silently in the backseat and having a good view of Dean makes it easier🤷

I love that Jimmy Olsen is exactly the type of photographer Peter Parker pretends to be. Just bat-shit insane.

Whenever someone asks Peter how he took a picture he's like "Oh! I uh-, climmed a flagpole. Totally"

And very mortal, normal-human Jimmy is like "See, Clark, is not that weird"

I mean, look at this nutjob.

The world could be ending, lava on the streets and Jimmy would be out there photographing away. No powers, no sense of self preservation. Just khakis, a camera and a dream.

I like to imagine Peter meeting Jimmy and immediately being mortified about it.

So like, I started watching Supernatural out of curiosity, since I get scared easily I decided to give ot a try. Everything's great so far, though for some reason there was no warning whatsoever about body horror. When I went next up to the episode of the shapeshifter in season 1 and the shapeshifter started to change from Dean's form... let's just say I'm close to the toilet and traumatized. I have not recovered yet from such a scene, I had not expected it to be gory and explicit 🫠🫠🫠
