While President Donald Trump has raised many tens of millions of dollars with the promise of overturning his election loss last month, his supporters are mainly donating into a fund he could use for Big Macs, golf equipment and, if he wants, even more hush money payments.
Unlike political campaign and party committees, whose money cannot be converted to personal use by a candidate, Trump’s “Save America” is a so-called “leadership” PAC, with far less stringent rules regulating its spending.
“It’ll be a slush fund,” said Paul S. Ryan, a campaign finance lawyer with the liberal group Common Cause. “Trump could decide to pay himself $1 million a year out of this fund. That’s legal. He could pay [his children] Don Jr. and Ivanka, if he wanted to. It’s pretty clear that this is a classic bait-and-switch scheme.”
Neither the Trump campaign nor the Republican National Committee responded to HuffPost queries about Trump’s post-election fundraising. Save America’s first report for money raised and spent between Election Day and Nov. 23 is not due with the Federal Election Commission until later this week.
The Washington Post reported on Monday that Trump raised $150 million since Nov. 3, while The New York Times reported a $170 million total. Neither outlet broke down how much of that went to Save America versus Trump’s campaign and the RNC.
One top Republican fundraiser close to Trump laughed upon learning of the soon-to-be former president’s ability to use donor money for personal expenses. “Good for him,” he said on condition of anonymity. “I hope he does it to just to piss everybody off.”
Typical juvenile Republican response. No wonder these idiots are so easy to con; they’re emotionally and intellectually stunted.

Metaphors, Dear God, Metaphors
DECEMBER 1, 2020
6:57 PM EST
The rats are deserting. The ship is sinking. The fucking walls are coming down. Any way you want to say it this godforsaken failure of a Presidency is devouring itself. I can only hope the next 50 days are not the last for some very important people. And of course I refer to us, the citizens of this country. Victims of the Trump Crime Family and its traitorous attack on the ideals and institutions of which we strive to achieve daily.
Fuck em all. Every last one of them. They had every opportunity these last 6(many even longer than that surely)or so years to leave this grifter motherfucker and not subject the country and indeed the world to such incredible harm. Yet they stuck to him like the lint in his gluttonous gut. A sour and scum filled lot. Most politicians have been so. That’s the common stereotype. What needs to happen now is for the paradigm to shift and allow the ideals to flourish instead of being fat, loathsome, greedy swine ready to gobble up all they’re served. Including their own shit. I hope they like the taste.
We need to do better. We are capable of doing so because we’ve been doing it since the vile start. Dissenters are necessary and most so during times when the majority is actively committing crimes and serving their own interests over the country’s.
The good news is it’s working. It always does. It needs to work better and not put so much and so many at risk while justice is sought. While liberty is sought. While freedom is in our hands.
January 20, 2021 is the next chapter. Will we triumph under President Biden? Or will we be served our own shit?
God bless America? We need a bit more than that now. Ante up. Progress.
“The main problem in any democracy is that the crowd-pleasers are generally brainless swine who can go out on a stage and whup their supporters into an orgiastic frenzy-then go back to the office and sell every one of the poor bastards down the tube for a nickel a piece.”
-Hunter S. Thompson

THE QUIET OF THE SONG
C. YEOWARD
Jubilation
Followed by incantations
The stars dance in the sky
Trails of stardust in their wake
Effective change
Distanced and ranged
The wind swirls in song through the trees
Coolness in the air
Something finally matters
Sometimes it takes a fall
Sometimes this path fucks us up
Up again
Yep, the word is tall
Jubilation
Followed by incantations
We people sing between cries of relief
Leaving stardust in the echoes of our time
Here we are again

Fear and Loathing in the Final Days of the American Experiment
Fear and Loathing in the Final Days of the American Experiment
by C. Yeoward
She was looking in the glass more than she knew. Fractured in spaces that were never crossed. A piece of refuse left to scoop up their vomit and laughed at while she did. This is the reality on October 29, 2020. The year of apocalypse. Generation Plague.
5 days until the fate of this wretched experiment is once again brought to the table to divide even further. Voting, while essential, is still a crapshoot at this time. I’m sitting on a powder keg. We all are and in 5 days it’s going to be lit either way. To say that fear and loathing run rampant would be an understatement. This is what Thompson foretold. “The American Dream” is this moment in 5 days when we decide whether we continue this experiment called the United States of America? Or, should we give in to the final days of democracy and allow a tyrant and his criminal allies reign over us?
What a time to be alive! What an amazing circumstance to be in and be able to lay it out like I am. I take it for granted sometimes and it’s odd that within my current madness I’m starting to see it a bit clearer. I stop to smell the rose. The Tower at the center of it all and it reminds me that when it comes to being resilient, this experiment always seems to bounce back from its devious nature. To save it from itself.
Of course it’s all fiction, much like what we are currently dealing with. A bad novel written by a hack. Fuckin Chuck(inside joke, thanks for humoring me).
Anyway, 5 days from now we test ourselves once again. The watershed moment I’ve been screaming about since Bush was in office. The wave is cresting once again and there will be fatalities in its wake, but through the raze comes a stronger foundation. Push us and we’ll push back.
We will not back down.
And justice for all...

Shengsi, an archipelago of almost 400 islands at the mouth of China’s Yangtze river, holds a secret shrouded in time – an abandoned fishing village being reclaimed by nature. These photos by Tang Yuhong, a creative photographer based in Nanning, take us into this lost village on the beautiful archipelago.
