When we first moved into this house, almost twenty years ago, we would get field mice and voles sneaking in from the cold. Our two cats at the time were great mousers and I would come across a rodent carcass before I even knew we had a mouse in the house. This is one of the many catnip mice that Herb loves to play with. They are all over the house. At six in the morning this looks very much like a dead field mouse and it wakes me right up when I come across him. #whoneedscoffee #lifewithcats

Herb wouldn’t move this morning when I wanted to photograph my card of the day. So, I put the card on his back and for the first time ever he attacked the card. I don’t know how he knew it was there. The card weighs almost nothing. In his defense it was The Tower and lots of people hate that card. The Game of Thrones Tarot came in the mail last night. It’s lovely. The box is sturdy. The LWB is actually a little hardcover book. The choices made for assigning characters to cards is spot on in many cases. As a collectible I like it. The cards have a texture to them that I don’t like. When I riffle and shuffle the cards I can feel them rubbing against each other and it reminds me of walking while wearing corduroys. The card stock itself is thin and feels like it won’t survive a lot of use. In fact one card back peeled a slight bit at the edge after one shuffle. I have no issue with a well worn deck of cards but that look should be earned from years of use not happen right out of the box. I intend to use these for the next moon cycle for the card of the day. We will see how they hold up. Updated to add this is a full deck of 78 cards.
