Hey guys! As a writer myself, it’s hard to have a lot of resources for writing in one place. That’s why I decided to create this masterpost, and maybe make more if I find future resources. I hope you like it, and expect to see more masterposts like this in the future!

so you’ve been sick. you’ve missed coursework, and now you’re trying not to have a mental breakdown. maybe i can help.
so how can you find out what you’ve missed?
utilize technology
the internet is a great way to find out what classwork you have missed. message your friends that you share classes with. ask them what lessons you missed.
things to ask for:
page numbers
problem numbers
notes missed
images of any missed work you can do from home (this includes any worksheets based on things you’ve previously learned, images of problems from a textbook/workbook + examples if you do not have your own book, notes to copy)
you can also message teachers through online grading programs (such as livegrades or engrade if your school uses either of those) or through email. explain how long you will be out of class and ask if there is any work that you could be working on at home.
Ex: Dear Mrs. Adams,
I have contracted the flu and therefor cannot attend class for the next week. Is there any work that I have/will missed in class that I could be working on from home?
                                   Thank you in advance,
                                                             Emily L.
manage your time
as lovely as the thought of just staying home and watching Netflix is, it isn’t going to help you finish your work. make a list of all of the assignments you have to do (can be done on paper, mentally, or through an app such as ‘WeDo’.) to help organize your ideas and ensure that nothing is forgotten.
prioritize
think of your teachers expectations. who will expect their work to be turned in within the next day? who is more lenient and will give you all the time you need to complete and turn in your work? use this work to your advantage and prioritize from there. instead of cramming all of your work into one night, do the assignments for the more demanding first, so they can be out of the way and turned in. then you can complete the assignments from your more lenient teachers throughout the next few days.
don’t be afraid to take breaks
believe it or not, breaks are not bad. take a few minutes, drink some water, listen to music, get a snack, and just relax. clear your brain for a moment or two, come back to your studies, focus, divide, and conquer. (i’ve seen many that recommend the pomodoro technique, which helps divide tasks into a series of work, followed by breaks for review.
good luck, friends! i believe in you!

i’ve noticed there are a lot more lgbt+ studyblrs than people think there are. often i get messages from people saying to me “it’s nice to see another queer person in the studyblr community” as if we’re rare. well, because of that, i’ve decided, why not host an index (much like the original studyblr index) so us lovely lgbt folk can find each other better and even connect with people of our own gender/sexuality !
the blog is @queerstudyblrs !
rules:
must be following gaystudies (me!)
reblog this post
you cannot identify as both cis and straight
fill out this typeform !
put a link to the index in your description/about page just by linking queerstudyblrs with the + sign as the text so as to not take up too much space.
everyone who fills out the form will be included !!
what will happen:
your url will be added to >the index< based on your sexuality and/or gender so others can find you!
other info:
while i will be answering general questions about mechanics of the index, i won’t really be doing much else. it’s kind of a stand alone thing that once you’re in the index, you’re in the index. it’s not a network or anything.
please allow some time for me to put you on the index. i am doing this alone.
also – i do understand that some people do not like the word queer, and i only chose it for the name bc i couldn’t type lgbt+ into the url. it is okay if you don’t want to join because the word is triggering/uncomfortable for you. if there’s anything i can do to alleviate this, please let me know.
thanks for reading !!

the girls you read about, the girls you admire and long to be like, the girls that inspire you - they break down. i promise you. hermione granger, malala yousafzai, elizabeth bennet, jo march, katherine johnson - they all have broken down. they have had moments, days, even weeks, where they wanted to give up, to let go, to settle. even if it’s not written in the pages, i promise you that it happened. there is no shame in falling on your knees before you pick up the sword.
you are not weak for breaking down. that is where strength comes from.

your handwriting doesn’t need to be pretty lettering or calligraphy for you to post it on your studyblr. people will like it, even if it’s not aesthetic.

💘Hey lovely people💘
This week is again a journal spread. I’d say this spread is quite Korea-esque lol This is how we decorate our diary/journal (cute stickers, pastel colors etc.) .
Spring is coming and now I’m quite obsessed with pink so maybe some of the spreads afterward are gonna be pink !!! + I looooooove love love 💕 those Stitch stickers so you’ll gonna see them quite often from now haha
There are so many beautiful styles out there and I can’t quite pick one cause I’m trying them all! Two of my favorites are rustic-vintage looking/ Harry Potter stuff and the other is simple-pastel-tumblr one haha
What’s your favorite style I’d really love to know ❤️
+ let me know if you think the filter is tooo pink. I’m trying out new things haha
