Salted Honey Pie 🍯
Tumblr media
An old fashion pie recipe that’s super simple to make and a great Ostara/Spring Dessert! I’m making one for this Easter with my family.
Honey, Eggs, Cream are all Spring Foods. Honey symbolizes sweetness and the rewards of hardwork just like the little bees that work so hard to make it! 🐝
And Salt banishes negativity and is purifying!
This dessert is perfect for getting rid of the stress or worry of Winter and welcoming any sweet rewards from your hardwork in the future this Spring!
Ingredients:
One 9 inch Pie Crust (Store bought or one of your favorite crust recipes)
½ Cup of Melted Butter
¾ Cup of White Sugar
2 Tbs of Cornmeal
¼ tsp of Salt
¾ Cup of Honey
2 Eggs + 1 Egg Yolk
½ Cup of Cream
2 tsp White Vinegar
1 tsp of Vanilla Extract
Salt Flakes for Garnish
Preheat your oven to 350. In a large bowl, mix together your dry ingredients before slowly mixing in your wet ingredients one at a time…. (I never do this and just mix it all together randomly as I go, but it’s up to you.)
Feel free to add a sigil to the base of the pie crust. This is mine -
Tumblr media
Pour mixture into your pie crust, it will be liquid and thin; that’s okay!
Tumblr media
Cook for 45 to 60 minutes or until the top is golden brown and it starts to bubble.(I recommend 60 minutes on the middle rack. Mine didn’t burn at all!)
Tumblr media
Take it out of the oven and let it cool for One hour or more to let it solidify. This step is very important to make sure it isn’t too liquidy. The consitancy should be like Pecan Pie Filling.
Garnish with Sea Salt or Himalayan Salt; any big salt flakes. But regular table salt will do just fine if the others aren’t available.
Done! 🍯🐝🍽😋
Tumblr media
This can be used for Litha too!

When I took this picture of her I was afraid it would be the last one. She hadn’t held down food or water in twenty four hours. Thanks to the good, quick work of her doctors we discovered she had a linear foreign object in her small intestine. It turned out to be over six feet of twine. She has recently, for the first time in her life, started getting into the trash and chewing up tissue paper when we leave her alone due to separation anxiety. I started closing her off in the living room a couple of days ago, but by then it was too late. The twine was already starting to bunch up in her GI tract. She went into emergency surgery last night, and I didn’t sleep until the doctor called at 4 am to say she made it through, but they discovered that her spleen was enlarged and had to remove that during the operation as well. Despite a lengthy and risky surgery, she pulled through and will hopefully stay strong and recover well in the hospital over the next few days. I won’t be able to breathe easy until she’s home, but I know she’s a healthy girl with a strong will to survive.

Interviewing your Crystals
This is a fairly simple spread that I came up with after buying some new crystals and not really knowing what to do with them. This is just one of the many ways you can get to know your crystals and find out how to put them to good use!
Tumblr media
1. What are your energies? I consider this to explain the overall ‘personality’ of the crystal. If you aren’t great at sensing energy, or can’t get a fix on the energy, this could help you.
2. What can you heal/cleanse? So many people use crystals for healing and cleansing themselves, spaces, etc. Consider this the form of cleaning your crystal is best at.
3. In what ways can you fit into my practice? There are so many hundreds of ways to use crystals! If you like to have specific crystals for specific things, this will help a lot.
4. What lessons can be learned from you? Meditating and scrying with crystals can show you many things, and sometimes there are lessons to be learned. There might be a specific message this crystal wishes to get across.
As an added note, you can also use the first card to figure out what the crystal’s associations might be (that is if you’re like me and don’t always feel like common crystal associations fit 100% of the time).
Feel free to tag me or let me know how this spread works! It worked pretty well for me, and I’d love to see what other people think!!!

Get to Know Your Deck Spread
Tumblr media
Here’s a lovely spread for all of you out there who are new to tarot, recently received a new deck, struggle with bonding with your deck(s) and/or are having issues getting clear or understanding readings. Sometimes decks have personalities to them, they have their own likes, dislikes, alignments and even preferred ‘work’ to go into. They also often require bonding to get the most accurate smooth readings. I have explained before the differences in my decks and what they like to answer, and I know of others who struggle bonding or understanding who their decks are. This spread should be of help!
1. How is your deck feeling today? Are they in a good mood ready to work? Or are they just having an off bad day? I have found decks, like people, can have moody bad days. These days their readings may be harsher than usual or even not even slightly logical. Its good to see what mood your deck is in before using it for readings, especially readings for others (and especially if they are paying for them). This may also affect the questions they will wish to answer.
2. What element does your deck align with? All decks are different and some may align themselves with specific elements. Is your deck fire, water, earth, air, spirit or a combination of them? This may affect the manner which they read. Air decks may be more interested in giving creative advice and focus on individuality, free-spirited natures, the arts, and even love. Water decks tend to focus on emotions and seeking gentle fixes. Fire decks tend to be the most assertive, they are competitive, encouraging, brave, passionate but also tend to support the idea of feuds. Fire decks, also from my experience, tend to be very blunt about things. Earth aligned decks tend to be a bit calmer, they focus on bonds with people such as family and friendships. They also focus on careers, prosperity and money matters. Spirit decks, tend to like to do more of the ‘divine’. They focus on self-enlightenment, self discovery and communicating with supernatural forces, guides, and deities.
3. What Questions does your deck enjoy answering? Does your deck enjoy answering questions about love? Friends and family? Do they enjoy giving personal advice? Do they like money matters and career focuses. This could determine what questions they may be the most accurate and ones they will give the best advice on.
4. What Questions does your deck least like to answer? These are the questions they may not have the most accurate advice on. Such as my Rider deck greatly dislikes romance questions so I never use him for them because he will always just advice break-ups no matter the situation.
5. What is your deck’s current feelings towards you? Does your deck feel close to you? Is it a strong professional business bond? Or is it more like a friendship? Do they feel distant from you? Like you ignore them? Do they not understand you or feel like you are a stranger? Do you intimidate them?
6. How can you improve your relationship? How does your deck feel like you two can do to help build your relationship? Practice more or perhaps make spreads.
7. A Negative trait. Pretty self explanatory, this is a negative quality about your deck that it feels you have a right to know about. Take note that this is a negative trait in the mind and views of your deck, its something it feels is negative.
8. A Positive trait. Again, pretty self explanatory, this is a trait that your deck feels is a positive trait it has. Again, this is a trait seen as positive in its mind.

Yesterday I made some bread. It’s one of my favorite things to do. To me, it is like alchemy. Four ingredients: salt, yeast, water, flour. An ancient food. I love kneading the dough, weaving my intention through it, folding love in. People think making bread is difficult but once you get the hang of it, it’s easy and so rewarding to make your own. I feel connected to the energies of the earth when I smell the warm yeast rising, when I feel the dough forming and becoming elastic under my hands. It’s like spinning gold from straw.
