i'm not interested in defending amanda palmer's behavior in general, and this isn't a "rebuttal" to any of the posts i've seen criticizing her as well as gaiman.

but there's an important piece of context i haven't seen mentioned yet, that i think many people don't even know: mothers who report abuse (especially child abuse) from their partners are much more likely to lose child custody disputes.
