Chapter 17 - Only Bought This Dress So You Could Take It Off
Read now on AO3 :)
Snippet below the cut
“There’s something between you and Rhys, isn't there?” He asked, not an accusational edge to be found in his voice.Â
She swallowed thickly, nodding to herself. “It’s… Complicated. I don’t know what it is.”
“From where I’m standing - you two breathe in sync, you move in sync. I’ve never seen anything like it.”Â
She felt the burn of tears at the corners of her eyes, feeling stripped bare. She faced him, found a fondness in his features.Â
“It’s okay, Feyre. Your secret is safe with me,” he said with a wink.Â
She couldn’t find the tears - she tried really hard. But damn her - someone saying out loud what she tried so hard to ignore. It was unsettling. It was freeing.Â
“You’re an amazing person, Tarquin.”Â
He smiled in appreciation, closing his eyes as the wind brushed through his locs gently. “Thank you, Feyre. Coming from an angel like you, it means a lot.”Â
She wrapped an arm around his waist, giving him a squeeze, before she excused herself to dab her eyes in the privacy of the restroom.

Chapter 16 - You Know There's Many Different Ways That You Can Kill The One You Love
Read now on AO3 :)
Snippet below the cut.
He had done the one thing he didn’t want to do - push Feyre away.Â
And he only had himself to blame.Â
He let Azriel get into his head - which, to be fair, he had raised a great point. Upon being reminded of the way Feyre came into his life - that is, through a friendship with his daughter - reality came crashing down. Instead of handling it like an adult - including Feyre in any sort of discussion - he panicked and kept her at arms length.Â
Now, what could have been a trip for the two to enjoy together, he was likely to instead see Feyre gravitate closer to Tarquin. Why wouldn’t she? He comes with less baggage, is more age appropriate, and would treat her right.Â
The realization of that was a punch to the gut. So, as he sat with Cresseida, Tarquin, and Varian while they waited for Feyre, he began to consider all that he would say to her.Â
She breezed into the lounge moments later and the effortless beauty of her threatened to take his breath away. Having kissed her, touched her, tasted her - he couldn’t get the memory of that night out of his mind. On too many occasions in the last week, he found himself sitting in meetings, his mind wandering, feeling grateful he was indeed seated at a table to hide what the thought of her did to him.Â
Only, in a place like Adriata, where linen pants and shorts were the ideal fashion pieces, he didn’t think his luck would hold out. He shifted preemptively, the sight of her already setting off a physical reaction within him.Â

New fic, out now :)
Read on AO3
Snippet below the cut.
Her boyfriend of the past three years, Tamlin Rosewood, finally had his dream realized: he was sworn in as the newest representative from their hometown of Springvale. Evidently, he was the youngest person sworn into the General Assembly, which made so many want to stop by and shake his hand - size him up, as it were. Feyre shook so many hands and smiled so many times, the faces had all begun to blur together.Â
A few she could pick out - the severe man speaking at the front was their friend Lucien’s dad, Speaker Beron Vanserra. Lucien had agreed to follow the pair to Velaris - as Tamlin’s chief of staff - claiming he had no political aspirations of his own, but had no qualms about doing the background work. Then of course was Tamlin’s communications director, Ianthe Priest. She was a childhood friend of Tamlin’s, and had become a friend enough to Feyre.Â
Feyre sighed, appreciating the baroque portraits that dotted the round room. It was one of the oldest buildings in Velaris - the capital of Prythian. The institution was indeed a hallowed one. She had visited this building in grade school during a history trip. She was just as awed then as she was now. How couldn’t one be? Between the intricate marble design of the floor, original paintings on every wall, the domed roof over head that featured clear panes to allow for full view of the night sky - one of the best features of Velaris, if Feyre was being honest.Â

Happy year anniversary of ACOTAR to me!
A year ago today on my day off, I laid by the pool and, at my grown age of 27, picked up ACOTAR for the first time. I did not put the books down and read all five in a two and a half week span. Then, my friend uttered the magic words to me:
“If you can’t stop thinking about them, there’s always fanfics.”
Life hasn’t been the same since.
Anyway, big day for me.
