Playing Dishonored 2 before Dishonored 1 was such an Experience.

Going into it, first playthrough, having no idea who these people are or who this Jessamine person is. Lore? Don't understand it. Galvani? Never robbed him before. Overseers? Yeah, the Wartime Overseer mask is the default mask, right? Megan Foster telling me her real name is Billie Lurk? Okay girl, don't know why I should care. She has an audiograph from some dude in her room on the ship and I've got no fucking clue what he's yapping about.

Eventually, I watched Dh1 summaries, and I learned the basic info about Daud. Never watched a Knife of Dunwall summary, though, so when he talks about how "no one will know what it took to save Emily Kaldwin" in his audiograph that Billie has in her room, I had no clue what he meant by that. Honestly didn't even know that the first game's DLC was about him, so I was pretty confused. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time and visit my younger self just to say "hey, you know that guy who talks about killing one Empress and saving another in Megan's audiograph on the ship? You're going to have a big ass tattoo on your shoulder that's 50% dedicated to him. Yeah, huuuuge wolf skull haha. Bye".

Seeing this in my notifs today fucking killed me because I am so curious as to what you think should have given it away. Like. *I* feel like most people rightfully wouldn't suspect that I draw bright pink unicorns with big rainbow horns as well as sad but hot old men covered in blood, but you're out here wondering how you DIDN'T suspect it? 😭

But yeah. When I'm not writing a very gorey disgusting Knifecrow cannibalism fic and drawing a 42 year old man as a vampire with blood all over his mouth, I am also over at @corvowed where I draw magical horses, among other things.

Kirin Jindosh: Very elegant buckskin Akhal-Teke mare

Morgan & Custis Pendleton: Matching black and grey (respectively) Thoroughbred geldings. Custis is a terrible rider who relies on harsh equipment, Morgan is a more skilled rider who prefers simpler tack

Samuel: Old blue roan mustang mare

Delilah: Friesan mare that bites anyone but Delilah

Them: "Yeah, that's a Custis alright. That's his full name- Acustis." *In haughty voice*: "Please, Custis was my father's name."

•"If I were a schoolyard bully, I'd call him Pustis"

•"I've decided he's (Custis) is my mortal enemy. All because of his name."

I'm back home and I can finally go back to writing Innocence Died Screaming, 13 Months of Courtship, and Two Bad Teeth 👁👁 IDS deserves some attention, so today, I'm going to focus on getting the outline done and start working on chapter 2. It has been too long 😔 tomorrow will probably be a Two Bad Teeth work day... 13 Months of Courtship is something I really need to work on *after* I've researched courtship rituals more

DotO deserved to be a full game. I get why it wasn't, but like, it really should've been Dishonored 3. It had so much potential, and it really was fun to play through, but it just fell short because it didn't have enough time (and probably not enough budget, either) to develop all the cool lore and ideas it introduced. Also, Daud deserved a lot more screentime + more interactions with Billie before he died. Idk I just. God. It was a good game, I had fun playing it, but I'll always be sad about what it could've been 😔

Maybe someday, I'll do a DotO rewrite fic.

YAYYYY finally jumped on the big order I wanted to do now that these are out. Think I bought every Dishonored item available that I don't already have

Think one of my favorite things about the Dishonored series is the fact that the characters look so unique. They look like real people. Not all of them are conventionally attractive (actually, I'd say most of them aren't conventionally attractive!), but they all look like they could be real people, and they're all unique and memorable. They have wrinkles, soft jawlines, double chins, big ears, low ears, short snub noses, big hooked noses, crooked and missing teeth, scars, tall foreheads, wide set eyes, and uneven facial features!! They are all so different and so alive, and the artists weren't afraid to design characters who don't all fit Western beauty standards, like a lot of art teams do/are forced to do. Daud isn't very conventinally attractive, but I think he's gorgeous!! The Pendleton twins have such memorable faces!! Kirin Jindosh and Duke Abele look nothing alike in both face structure and body structure!! These characters look like people I could meet in real life and I love it. I love you Dishonored series.

Also obligatory I love you people with facial features that aren't conventionally attractive. I love you conventionally attractive people but I also love you people who aren't conventionally attractive. Beauty standards are stupid and I think people are so amazing and fascinating and uniqus

My favorite Dishonored headcanon is that the hands are not a stylistic art choice, but rather, hands are actually just that huge in the Dishonored universe

Considering making vampire!Dishonored characters x reader fics because there's not enough Dh character x Reader fics out there.

(Hey if y'all like Jindosh x reader I suggest checking out @hampop 's work on Ao3. And also go commission her !! I have commissioned her for Jindosh x reader fics twice and she's knocked it out of the park both times!!)

Yeah idk I think we should bring x reader fics back, and as it turns out, I like writing vampire blood drinking scenes, so like. Maybe I will make these incredibly niche one-shots as a self-indulgent thing
