URGENT!! LETS GET SHAIMA AND MUHAMMAD TO $80K BY AUGUST 18TH!

thankfully we have raised just enough to cover the evacuation fees of shaima and muhammad's entire family of 15 people (including 10 children)!

now we begin the journey to raise funds for their survival.

as mentioned in the linked post, the genocidal hala travel agency will only allow the family to evacuate if they present the entire sum on august 18th, less than 6 days away!

because the family is currently without a tent, baby formula, and struggling to survive constant bombing in khan yunis, they have to dip into their evacuation fund to survive. despite crossing that threshold, their survival is not guaranteed.

their newborn baby salem has anemia, is immunocompromised, and is severely malnourished because his mother manal is so starved she no longer produces breastmilk. his 5 year old sister salma has a fever, skin rashes, and intestinal problems from drinking unclean water. staying alive during all this costs money.

they even have to pay rent for the dirt their tent sits upon.

ive been thinking ab the themes of outer wilds again, and the line "the universe is, and we are." and i noticed, nothing in the game is malicious. the closest thing is the fish and theyre just hungry, or the owlks bc theyre scared, and even then they only kick you out of their simulation.

all of the ways you can die is just nature. the caves fill with sand no matter if youre there or not. the sun will explode no matter what anyone does to stop it or even to cause it. the interloper exploded bc the pressure was too much. none of it is out of malice. the universe is a dangerous place, but that doesnt mean its hostile.

you are going to die no matter what. take that life and do what makes you happy.

the universe is, and we are.

Finally finished my artwork of the River Lowlands! Took me about 25 hours over the course of a couple months and I think it is my favourite piece of digital art I've ever done.

Sigh. The response to "asexuals are actually just childish and scared of sex" isn't "well actually you're wrong because we write the filthiest smut in existence" or "what about asexuals who know all about kink" or "I'm asexual and I love making sex jokes", NO, that's not the fucking point. I don't care. The point is that regardless of how an individual feels about sex they deserve to be respected and treated as an adult, even if the thought of sex grosses them out. I am asexual, reading smut makes me cringe (feel cringe as in the original sense of the word) and looking at anything nsfw makes me mildly uncomfortable at best, and I only like sex jokes to a certain extent. This doesn't make me a fucking child because sex is not what makes someone an adult in the first place.
