Hi! You seem to know much more about this than I do, so I was hoping you might be able to help me find a perfume similar to my favorite, which has sadly been discontinued. Sea Foam by Torrid, it came from their Disney princess line.

The notes on this site seem decently accurate from what I can tell. I like lighter scents because I get headaches if a heavier scent stays too long. If it helps I also like Decadence by Marc Jacobs, but Sea Foam has always been my favorite. Thank you so much in advance for any help you can offer 🥰

it always sucks when a fragrance you really like gets cancelled. i never got to smell sea foam, but hopefully one of my suggestions is similar! i went for lighter aquatic floral fragrances which seems to be the vibe that sea foam had from what i can tell

lys mediterranee from frederic malle is a realistic aquatic and white floral fragrance. it smells clean and floral but it also has a nice ginger note that adds some depth

dragonfly from zoologist is what always immediately comes to mind when i think of watery floral fragrances; it's very fresh and light without being too powerful in my opinion

villa diodati from poesie has a mermaid vibe to it if you ask me. the notes don't really represent its vibe super well, to me it smells like rosewater, fresh water, and neroli

mermaid's embrace from deep midnight perfumes is an indie fragrance that might be reminiscent of sea foam with its focus on pink florals, but it might not be light enough for your taste so i'm not sure! thankfully they do have sample sizes if you want to check it out

maybe a bit different than the other suggestions, but secret gardenia from miller harris might peak your interest as well? it's a fairly light floral fragrance that smells airy, fruity, and clean

they have so many different fragrances to choose from. it's a really interesting indie perfume oil brand :-) i might post some thoughts on some later...some of these samples are quite old though

my thoughts on my samples of rabbit, moth, camel, t-rex, rhinoceros, and bat by zoologist under the cut!

rabbit is probably one of the most wearable and crowd pleasing zoologist fragrances if you're into gourmand/sweet scents. i don't really get carrot cake per say, but it does smell like a fresh cake or biscuit with a hint of hay

gourmand fragrances usually aren't for me personally, but i appreciate the shy wildness going on in the background of this fragrance. it reminds me of watching rabbits outside my farm window as i'm eating freshly baked cookies!

moth is perfect for a vintage powdery goth fragrance; it opens as a flower powder bomb, like the mixture of a grandmother's house and an antique shop. there's always a slightly smoky undertone from the incense, a reminder of the flames moths are attracted to

it also somewhat reminds me of the smell of bug spray - not in an inherently unpleasant way, but i think everything about this fragrance just screams moth and i really like it!

i probably will not wear it much, but my boyfriend certainly will :-) if you're on the lookout for gothic fragrances, this moth is a good contender

it's funky, but still perfectly wearable

tyrannosaurus rex is so complicated! this fragrance opens with an aggressive burning smoke that really hits you in the senses and initially i really didn't like it, but its transformation after the top initial spray is really impressive!

the smoke slowly fades into the background and allows the crisp fresh greenery to become more prominent. after a while, the fragrance dries down into a fresh leather with a smoky afterbite.

it is way better on clothes rather than skin in my opinion. maybe it's just me, but it dried down horribly on my skin and smelled wayyy too smoky, but on clothes it reaches that fresh spiciness that i appreciate

not as unwearable as people make it out to be, but you seriously need 2 sprays of this at most. it'll last all day and it's a very powerful smell

great for dinosaur fans and anyone who wants an aggressive smoky fragrance

rhinoceros was a freebie that zoologist kindly gave me with my order, and i was so excited for it since i literally enjoy all of the notes listed for it!

HOWEVER. this is way, way, way too boozy for my taste. the rum note is front and center with this fragrance, and i don't think it blends well with the rest of the composition

although it's not my personal taste, i can appreciate what it's doing - rhinoceros is a very rich and smooth leather-y rum fragrance while still having a funky animal kick. it's powerful and suiting for their vision!

similar to t-rex, i would say this is a fragrance that i'd rather on clothes than skin. for some reason the rum would just Not leave my skin, but it seems more tolerable elsewhere

probably wearable if you're fine with smelling a little boozy (it's still a classy booze smell to be fair!), i could see myself wearing it to a jazz club or something

a bit disappointing to what i wanted it to be, but i can always appreciate zoologist's art even if it's not for me personally

bat delivers you exactly what is promised: it smells like (rotting) fruit in a moist cave. i really struggle with deciding if i really like it or don't like it at all LOL...but regardless, it's very faithful and interesting!

there's really not much to say about it. it's one of the most realistic 'damp soil' fragrances i've encountered so far, and i think that the fruity notes make it more palatable to the nose

i think it's wearable once it dries down, but i don't see myself wanting to smell like this in most situations. great if you're going for an unsettling vibe though!

camel fascinates me! the muskiness of this genuinely smells like being near a camel on a hot day, but the dried fruits, amber, and spices are a pleasant companion to the stinky animal scent

musky fruitiness mixed with a warm spice and hint of floral. i won't be wearing this during the warmer season, but i think this layered with a vanilla fragrance would smell delicious during the fall/winter!
