Oh yeah speaking of, I finished my quilt top for my first quilt ever! It’s the My Favorite Color is Moda block of the month sampler from last year but instead of solids I got a buncha prints lol, also I still have to hand quilt the whole thing

Me: okay, would you pay $150?

Them: no, but someone would!

Me: okay, how much would you pay for this?

Them: $30

Me: yea the material cost $50. Bye.

not to be bitter but "OMG that's so good you could sell it!!!" is not the compliment people think it is

I finally finished!I found a cheap frame in a charity shop and painted it matt black and I think it matches the piece perfectly. Pattern is from The World of Cross stitching magazine ( Issue 311) by MeowMill

I have quite the opportunity.

I have the opportunity to work for an amazing long arm quilter, who has been running her business for 21 years. And in the next maybe 5 years, I could potentially buy the business and run it when she retires. It’s amazing.

The issue is I currently live 1.5 hours away from where this opportunity is. And I’m terrified that if we just flat out move, I’m going to start doing this and realize that I am not going to be happy doing this for the rest of my life. So I want to work there for a while to see if it’s something I want to do, but there’s no way I’d be able to make enough money to commute, maybe get a little space, and pay for my normal bills.

Anyone want to give me $10,000? 🙃🙃🙃

Just a couple more golden stitches and this Iemanjá embroidery is ready to go! She is the Goddess of the Seas people in the Brazilian culture, so I also used watercolors to detail this hoop. 💙🧜🏿‍♀️ by monsterboxxx
