HAPPY 27TH BIRTHDAY MORIAH!!

I figure birthday posts are a good time to update on each individual sim, i have a few mods that add/remove traits and preferences over time in my game so I think birthday posts will include basically the fact sheet of each family member at the time. It will be a good way to keep track of the more competitive heir rules and things as well.

Frankie decided to follow in her mom’s footsteps and developed an interest in debates!  Brightchester had a program on Saturday mornings that let kids come and practice their debate skills with the college kids. Moriah loved getting to visit Brightchester with her daughter!

Unfortunately one of the kitty cats passed away from old age. Karl didn’t take it very well at al. Cici had been with him through a lot. He knew that Cici and Kelly were both about the same age so he made sure Kelly got lots of extra snuggles. Which was good when Kelly unfortunately passed away the next day. :( 

I really need to fixt the lighting in their kitchen it’s obnoxious

That summer brought a new house to the Martin family, after getting approved to adopt a little girl, and still hoping to have one more child of their own Karl and Moriah realized they needed more space for all their kids and pets... and robot... They also wanted some space outside for the kids to play and while this house didn’t have a huge yard for the kids their was plenty of room for some playground equipment and even a pool. It wasn’t long after they moved in that little Lana joined the family. Suddenly life with 3 kids under 2 and a 6 year old became quite hectic. Typically Karl wasn’t the type to wake up in the middle of night but when he woke up at 4 AM to find the other side of the bed empty he went looking for his wife. He found her on the couch with both boys in her arms. “What happened to letting Jarvis handle the kids in the middle of the night?” He asked sitting down next to her. 

“That’s great for Lana,” Moriah started “But when Damon wakes up from a nightmare and in the process wakes up Brannen, they don’t want JARVIS they want mama” Karl reached over and brushed a hand gently through Brannen’s hair. “It’s OK I was awake anyway and it’s almost time to get Frankie up for camp” 

“How about I get Frankie going this morning, you should try and get some sleep before you have to go to work” Karl said leaning over to give Moriah a kiss on her forehead. 

“I’m OK but I do think I’ll try and get these two back in their cribs and try to get a shower in before I have to leave” Moriah said shifting on the couch carefully trying to not disturb the sleeping boys. “Hopefully they’ll sleep a little while longer for you so can get some things done before you have to go to work” Moriah said. 

“I’m sure they will” Karl said he couldn’t help but smile at this part of his not so little family.

How about a little intro post hmm? 

So as per my usual My new story/gameplay whatever you want to call it is a random legacy challenge but this one is a little bit different. 

So I started playing with Karl and well if you couldn’t tell from that last post his life was a bit of a mess. I could not get him into the distinguished physics program at Foxbury to save my life. He applied 3 times (and per my own gameplay style/ challenge rules he could only apply in Fall and Spring) So he was “19″ when I created him it took me until he was 21 to get him into college he was dating this one girl whose name I don’t even remember and they so did not get along, so they broke up and then he got with Becca, and at first I felt like they were gonna hit it off except for the fact that Becca wasn’t a huge fan of exclusive relationships, and Karl was but I never really thought they would end up together together until Karl got that fateful inheritance phone call and I was desperate to get this kid some Simoleans and it didn’t feel completely out of character for him to decide to go through with this and I mean Becca was right there so... He asked she said yes and they got married (a few times actually because my game was not playing nice) it was especially helpful after their cat Kelly, ran away and came back pregnant after I didn’t have enough money to get her spayed.... after there wedding they started to not get along as well, and I was pretty sure I was going to end up splitting them up at some point. Well Becca ended up pregnant and I may have not been paying close enough attention and she may have peed herself in public one to many times and may have died of embarrassment... So then I decided to have Karl date Becca’s bestie Julia before I just felt so bad for him that I decided to make an entirely new save and just start over with a different sim. 

Then I made Moriah, and after I finished  creating her and spinning her challenge rolls i was like dang she woulda been perfect for Karl... Then the light bulbs started going off, I thought about pulling a brand new fresh Karl into the new save but I also knew I was kind of attached to his tragic back story, so I moved him Julia and his 3 kitties into the new save and got him and Moriah together. 

So basically this generation is actually 2 sets of challenge rolls combined into one (hence the 2 “challenges” for a few things) I’ll address these in these kind of “behind the scenes” posts from time to time but this one is long enough for now! :)

“Happy Anniversary Love” Karl whispered as he wrapped his arms around his wife’s waist. It was the couples first adult only vacation they’d taken since, their twin boys were born, hell it was the first couples only vacation in the little more then a year since they adopted their now 6- year old daughter. Karl wouldn’t have traded his kids for the world but it was nice to have some adult time as well. He’d had quite the ride to get this point. Not even 30 and he’s already been married twice, his first marriage was rough. He’d gotten married for all the wrong reasons. He was desperate for money a broke university student barely scraping by when he got a random phone call about some inheritance money if  he got married. He asked his girlfriend at the time to marry him and seeing as she was also a broke university student she agreed. They had very different views on life and their marriage would have never worked in long run Karl knew that and accepted that now. Unfortunately he never really had the chance to work that out for himself,  Becca, died very unexpectedly while she was pregnant. Through everything Karl became very close with Becca’s best friend and ex-roommate Julia, The two of them dated for awhile before Moriah walked into his life. They really shouldn’t have worked either but some how they did, Now here they were 3 years later, in the same little house on the beach they’d stayed in when they got married. Moriah a successful business tycoon and Karl making a name for himself in the mechanical engineering world. 

“I talked with Julia this morning, the kids are doing good and she said Jarvis has been very helpful” Moriah said. She’d grown up on the islands, it was part of the reason they got married here. (And the fact that’d she’d won a million dollar lottery not long after the two were engaged which meant they could afford the destination island wedding) She might not have any family left and may have chosen to settle down with Karl in Oasis Springs but she still loved Sulaini and it would always have a special place in her heart.  She missed her kids, starting a family hadn’t been easy for them, They were having a hard time getting pregnant the “old-fashioned way” so they decided to get some medical assistance.  A luxury Moriah knew she was luck to have access too. She got pregnant twice but unfortunately lost both pregnancies. That’s when they adopted their daughter Moriah, After settling into life with Moriah, they decided to try and get pregnant again. The first round failed but the second was successful and now they had their twin boys Brannen and Damon. “I want to bring the kids here someday” 

“We will,” Karl said  “Maybe for our 5th anniversary we could bring them here and renew our vows?” Karl suggested. 

“I like that” Moriah said leaning back further against her husband, He leaned over and kissed the top of her head. 

“What time is our spa appointment?” She asked 

“2:00 Why?” He asked 

“Do you think we have time for another activity before we have to leave” She asked looking up at him 

“Oh we always have time for that” Karl said leaning down to kiss her lips before leading her back into the little beach house.

Summer Day 4 Year 4

IT HAPPENED!!!!! 

It finally happened!! We’ve been trying for almost a year and we’re finally having a baby!!! 

We were so close to going in for some “professional” help. I was seriously starting to get nervous that I couldn’t get pregnant again. But it happened!!! 

And I have 4 pregnancy tests to prove it. 

This is the first time I’ve known about a pregnancy before Eli. Both of the last times he was around when i took the pregnancy test and he knew right away. This time i tested while the kids were napping and before he got home from work. I thought about coming up with some cute way to tell him but I was to excited so I just showed him the test after he got home from practice. 

He was so excited. 

I have to admit it’s really nice to actually be excited for a pregnancy. 

So take your guesses now! Is it a boy or a girl?

Spring Day 1 Year 4

I can not believe this!!

I can’t believe I got nominated for let alone WON a Starlight Accolade for Best Video! 

This is insane! 

Last night was amazing! 

Eli and I had a great time at the party and it was nice to do something adult and alone together that didn’t involve trying to make a baby. ;) Not that that isn’t also a fun and enjoyable activity. 

Del Sol Valley is absolutely beautiful at night. Honestly it still feels like a dream but then I look over and see that trophy on the shelf and it’s like “wow” that really happened. 

I also have to give a huge shout out to Eli’’s amazing parents for taking our kids for the night. And Evelyn for getting these amazing photos of us before we left for the night! 

Thank you to everyone again! This wouldn’t have happened without you!
