He knows that you’re very skilled and a capable fighter, able to no-sell and deal with people way more armored and armed with you. He’s also, absolutely in sheer disbelief at how much of a lousy shot you are. Like, seriously, how???

He, at first, thinks you’re pranking him. 

But then it turns out, no matter what firearm you’re given, you just. Can’t hit anything.

“Are you seeing this shit, Sanford?” “Still working on believing it.”

He’s met new recruits that can’t hit a bottle at 5 feet, but somehow, you manage to not hit anything at all, no matter what you aim at. 

It doesn’t matter how close or how far, you somehow manage to shoot 90 degrees while looking forward. 

He ends up trying to science it (I.E. Writing it down, and screwing around, which is pretty much science) and ends up giving up 2 hours in.

“Whaaaaa?”

It’s okay, he still loves you a lot. Please leave the shooting to him while you go crack skulls together.

Hank

So, the Number One Bastard of Nevada™ finds this fucking hilarious. If you’d been anyone else he would’ve laughed in your face and then executed you so goddamn fast. But! As his SO, you are very dear to him, so he’ll just laugh all wheezily and watch the chaos unfold.

He keeps handing you guns.

They really shouldn’t be, but whenever there’s a lull in the fight you can bet like, 3 dollars that Hank’s gonna find some rifle or a shotgun and plonk it into your hands. 

Please keep trying to kill things, this is the best entertainment he’s had since Deimos accidentally lit Sanford’s pants on fire. 

You have like, 0 accuracy. If you aim at something, someone else will die.

He really thinks it’s funny that some poor unsuspecting bastard gets kneecapped or body-shotted by the worst gunperson in the history of Nevada.

They take little notes on the things you’ve hit accidentally.

(40 windows, 33 cars, 16 light poles, etc, etc)

Hanks likes to show it to Doc so the guy can let out the most aggrieved sigh.

Hank prefers to watch you fight anyway, and with you not shooting and fighting purely on melee and hand-to-hand, it allows him to have more bloodshed when it comes to his targets as he’s an all-rounder sort.

The lack of accuracy on your side of things is just a really funny bonus.

Sanford

Like Deimos, he’s pretty much in disbelief.

He loves you a whole lot, but seriously, this whole situation is bonkers. At least you keep a lot of melee weapons on your person and can fight back with your punches and kicks, it eases the anxiety..

At least you have good trigger discipline, but at the same time, you are just a walking hazard if you have a gun.

Will you hit a wall? A vehicle? Himself? Yourself? He doesn’t know! You don’t know! The moment you pull that trigger, anyone’s a potential casualty. 

In terms of sheer chaos, you with a gun lives in his nightmares rent-free. 

It’s also funny as fuck, but he’s only laughing until after he gets to a safe cover and doesn’t need to worry about getting accidentally murdered.

He wonders if “A weapon that fires projectiles” counts as a golf club. You can use it as a melee weapon, but what if you tried aiming a grenade at someone?

—The grenade ricochets off two walls.

—Sanford screams.

—Deimos screams.

—You scream.

—It blows up a transport vehicle.

—Don’t do it.

He’ll give you a consoling pat, but just plainly asks that you never pick up a gun ever again, please, and thank you.

Main 3 and Taekwondo!Reader

For those who don’t know: Taekwondo is a martial art that prioritizes kicking and punching as its main source of techniques. It can be used in conjunction with melee weapons, however, It is primarily a defensive art that doesn’t focus on pure violence as a method of ending fights. As such, our dear Reader fights defensively and will often do their best to leave their opponents alive (though, admittedly, very unconscious).

Deimos

He honestly finds your flexibility rather impressive, not to mention your balance and ability to stay on your feet despite executing several moves that involve jumps and near flips. He also admires the sheer force behind your blows.

Like, yeah, he can lug Hank around pretty well, but Dei’s always been more of a distance fighter. He can mano-y-mano in a pinch and well, Nevada pinches back a lot.

So he finds you,,, really cool. How you’re just willing to go in the fray sometimes and kick some major ass with only disables and blocks.

You could probably throw him over your shoulder too and he’d thank you for it.

He also wouldn’t mind the occasional spar between just the two of you, if just so he can spend some time seeing how you execute all these neat moves.

He also finds you pretty calming, likely because you don’t seem to emanate the murder urge that most folks have.

Hank

They find you pretty confusing, Hank's always been a person of violence and bloodshed so it's baffling sometimes to encounter someone who fights so cleanly but rarely draws blood or kills.

They may think of you weak for this, that you're too soft to land the killing blow.

But at the same time, you're a survivor. You've lasted so long even with these pacifistic ways of ending fights and knocking out people yet you still live.

There's strength in how you move and how you act. The sheer restraint in your hits and blows.

If they see you, truly and utterly enraged. The brutal beating you give—but still leaving your attackers sprawled and unconscious, skin darkening with broken blood vessels. It's entrancing.

He finds himself wanting to see more. What will happen if you encounter an enemy too strong for your methods to work? Would you then use tooth and nail to tear them apart? Or would you finally pick up a firearm and unleash true carnage?

He kind of wants to study you.

Sanford

Like Hank, he’s a little bewildered by you not killing people. Sanford’s always been more of the brawler to Deimos’ support so he’s more hands-on and willing to do permanent and major harm—especially given how his bounty has torture listed to get important information. He does admire strength and speed, which you’ve got plenty in spades.

Unlike Hank, he more or less finds your unwillingness to kill cute. 

Maybe a little pathetic, but he won’t deny that he enjoys seeing people go up against you and fail miserably before they get knocked out. 

He’d also like to spar with you, seeing as a lot of the moves you use, while defensive, can be used efficiently as brutal attacks. Simply because you get someone right where you want them and defenseless. 

He’s kind of a cheerleader sometimes if you go into a fight with semi-overwhelming odds. The rest of the squad has your back, but golly it’s so cool to see all the acrobatics and rolls you can do to get out of a tight squeeze.

Can you get a “HELL YEAH?”, cause he definitely will give you one.

Tricky!

General Tricky Relationship HCs

Tricky is naturally a very excitable and hyperactive fellow, while this is also accompanied by a vast capability of violence and bloodshed, he’ll put 100% of his all into loving his partner. He’s pretty neat like that.

He’s basically the equivalent of a very loving cat, purring up a storm and soaking up your attention whenever he encounters you.

He does understand the need to slow down and relax, though. Despite seemingly being rather oblivious or hyper-fixated to an extreme degree, he carries around a solid amount of self-awareness. He is still one of the smartest people despite his eccentricities, the Imp Drive, and the zombification.

If he notices that you’re feeling overstimulated, he’ll do his best to lower his voice to a whisper (though this is still Loud™, it’s more like someone speaking normally), or if the sound’s too much, he’ll sign or scribble on notes.

He’s pretty snuggly and tactile in general, and likes to rest his chin on your shoulders, press his cheek against yours, or pull you into hugs.

Sometimes he loves to do those hugs where he wraps his arms around your shoulders and does a spin or two before putting you back on the floor.

Likes to gently headbutt into your shoulder or back, this is done very lightly and carefully because he might accidentally embed you in a wall 2-feet deep and he DOES NOT WANT. Therefore, you get the gentlest of bumps ever.

Tricky doesn’t have the best cooking skills, so he’ll often take notes of your favorite foods and do his best to find some sort of vendor or store to snag you a treat or two. 

Because the Imp drive gives him reality-warping abilities, he often stores said food and drink in a form of stasis so you can have it in its TIPPITY TOP SHAPE, HOT OFF THE PRESSES! :O)!!! 

When he does cook, it is a bit of a biohazard. It’s… sometimes edible, but more often than not Tricky tries to add some sort of flair or tweak to a recipe that results in… a very dubious dish.

He won’t get offended if you don’t eat it, more for himself!

He can get a bit protective, but at the same time, he trusts his partner a ton. So as long as you are somewhat combat-capable or fast on your feet, he doesn’t worry too much. However, if you are, as he would say “squishy” he’d fret a little more. 

He’ll sometimes stop by with snacks and other beverages that he’s pilfered around if you’re the type to forget those sorts of things.

He’ll also find ways to break certain items, and given that the Improbability Drive can affect the world’s code around you, don’t be surprised that one-day Tricky manages to give your wasteland-survivor self a gun with infinite ammo—that sometimes shoots an Excessively Large™ Mag round at your target.

Hi, hello, brushing off the dust on this blog for a quick PSA/warning. I’m only posting here because I know a decent amount of MadCom fans follow me and some important shit needs to be said; There’s no comeback for me, unfortunately, at least not yet. There’s two subjects to go over, but I’ll start with one of the more important ones first. 

Some of you may know @/maddsmakara. If you don’t, now’s a good chance to know about them. First thing’s first, please, for the love of whatever god there is, BLOCK THEM. For the past year, there’s been an ongoing streak of bad things all around involving them, particularly with one of my close friends. They’re responsible for heavy psychological abuse and manipulation, which has left a horrible lasting impression on all of us. 

They would constantly guilt trip anyone they came across into feeling bad for them and making everything about them. They would also mention several things about doing unpleasant things to their OCs, claiming that they were “uncomfortable discussing it with minors” (all of us had done TERRIBLE things to our OCs, so this was a pretty big red flag) but would constantly squeal at the mere mention of anything violent. They always shoved their OCs down everyone else’s throats and forced their hands in OUR characters’ lore to fit their own. Madds also would infantilize many characters, which made several people uncomfortable. I won’t go into much detail on a personal level for the sake of my friend, but I’ll update this bit of the post if I have permission to go on. Please, for your own sakes, if you’re “friends”/aqcuantances or have some kind of contact with them, block them immediately. Save yourself from the potential abuse you’ll face.

Now, the next topic is somewhat related to Madds, but it has a lot more to it than just that. Some of you may know of the server “Meanwhile in Nevada”, since it’s public and from what I last saw had well over a thousand members. I left it a while ago due to my own issues with some of the people there, but based on recent events, it’s gotten much worse over there.

A while ago a mod/admin for the server tended to make several people uncomfortable, and without going into much detail some of it involved a certain egg-centric kink and it was NOT subtle at all how much they enjoyed it. From what I know, they were booted from the server, but it doesn’t end there.

The next two incidents aren’t things I experienced single-handedly, just heard about from some of my friends that were in there. Apparently a registered sex offender had been banned from the server a while ago, but was brought back without warning to give them a “second chance”. Nasty already, right? Well, the same thing happened with Madds, who was also banned from the server for their misdeeds mentioned previously. Just today, they were unbanned and reinvited for a “second chance”, and the incident itself caused one of my friends to go into a serious mental spiral. When approached about why they did it, the mods simply stated that, again, they were giving Madds a second chance and didn’t think anything else of it.

If you’re in the server, or are thinking of joining it, I highly advise leaving/thinking against it. Again, if I get permission, I’ll link a full document detailing what happened with Madds and our friend group; I just don’t wanna drop something that heavy without making sure it’s okay with my friends, y’know? That being said, I’ll be happy to answer any questions about all this to the best of my ability with proof if available. We have  PLENTY of screenshots saved up for multiple incidents.
