Cas runs the family diner with his adopted son, Jack. His old high school flame rolls into town and he thinks he can just step back into Castiel's life. Well... He's kind of right.

Okay, so imagine this situation. Cas finds that the new, annoying trucker at his diner is actually a man he used to know. He doesn't want to, but his body has a mind of his own, so he goes home and 'enjoys' some alone time, decisively not thinking about certain green eyes. But then when he returns, he finds that his past has returned and instead of ignoring him or dismissing him like he wanted to, he ends up having sex in the back alley. He hopes he got it out of his system and that he's done with the likes of Dean Winchester.

Pffffffffff. Of course he was wrong.

As far as the meet-again-years-later stories go, this one is one of my favorites, just because of the interactions they have and Dean trying to talk to him, trying to get close, while Cas keeps resisting. And keeps remembering the past. Oh, yeah, that past will haunt them throughout the first part of the story until it is finally revealed.

Still, slowly, step by step and sex by sex, they get there, in the most glorious and most satisfying way possible. Mind you, the story will tear you apart just before it puts you back together. But it is definitely worth it.
