I am so fucking sick of Tik Tok’s “ban.”

Tik tok users have received ANOTHER warning of a ban, (ban allegedly on April 5th.) However, as you can clearly fucking see, IT ISN’T BANNED.

The first allegedly ban was on January 18th, 2025. And it DID disappear around 8pm at that time, but it came back less than 24 hours later the next day and people were confused about the whole thing. Afterward it was speculated and analyzed that there was a lot of censoring of anti-trump related content.

I mean even though it was gone for just a few hours people were TERRIBLY DISTRAUGHT. Like seriously, big accounts confessed their deepest darkest secrets or their methods of making videos. Accounts had heart breaking good-bye videos and would link many social medias. Nothing ever felt like a right alternative.

PEOPLE EVEN FUCKING TRANSFERRED TO REDNOTE JUST TO FEEL THAT SAME JOY OF TIK TOK. Not gonna lie, it was nice to see people getting along on Rednote with ex-Tik Tok users. But then it all just STOPPED. People deleted Rednote and then ran back to Tik Tok.

Do I even NEED to talk about the whole video of the CEO of Tik Tok and the senator? “Are you working for the Chinese government??” BRO NOT EVERY ASIAN IS CHINESE WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU??? He literally told you that he wasn’t working for them and y’all were like, “nah you’re Asian that’s suspicious.”

And then NOW there was ANOTHER ban. It was scheduled for April 5th, 2025. But guess fucking what?

IT’S STILL FUCKING HERE. AND IT GOT A, “75 day extension.”

Genuinely Tik Tok has been threatened to get banned for literal YEARS. Like I’m talking 2020-2022 and stuff. Nobody can even take it seriously anymore because the January stuff is the first time they actually had TAKEN THE APP itself down. Other than that, there are always rumors.

So..what did we learn..

People on Tik Tok love to create content, most of them don’t even CARE if their data is being used or taking or stored, and it’s one of the most trending apps to DATE. It’s got a store in the app too.

so WHY are we doing this?? Why are we even trying to ban Tik Tok??? I know there are probably logical answers like, “government wants to silence us!” Or “they’re scared of the Chinese government!”

But like..this is getting annoying…

“You’re such a Tik Tok addict!! Why do you even care? It’s just banned in America it’s not that important!”

I DON’T GIVE A FUCK😭

I’m just sick of hearing news of, “Tik Tok is getting banned! Say your good-byes!”

I have many social media accounts I’ve actually invested energy too and it sucks when one of the apps is just CONSTANTLY on about something.

But just a thought❤️
