Okay, maybe he hadn't been expecting that. Usually when he ended up in encounters like this, the person ran or doubled-down. But crying?

Of those two options, Val picked neither, and probably one that Wriothesley didn't anticipate. She started to sob.

"IT'S NOT FAAAAAIR! WHY DO I HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF THE YOUNG ONES JUST BECAUSE I'M THE OLDEST?! 'GO ON A FONTAINE TOUR' THEY SAID! 'THE MARK'S WILL BE EASY' THEY SAID! MY FIRST ATTEMPT TO GET FOOD AND THE GUY WAS TOO HARD!" The audible sound of heels stomping on pavement added to her full on tantrum. "If I swear I haven't attacked anyone here prior to this will you at least make it quick?!"

"Visiting someone?" He glanced to the paperwork in her hands for a moment. It wasn't very likely she would have gotten down here without already passing multiple security checks.

"I'm guessing you're not with Fontaine's official police force if you don't already have clearance to do what you want."

It had been a few years now, yet the moment she started making her way down, it all felt the same as before. She didn't exactly like having to come back here, but her options were a bit limited. At least the warden was still as hot as ever, so it wouldn't be the worst trip.

"Well I sure hope you can. I'm trying to get clearance to speak with someone locked up here and you happen to be one of the head honchos I need a signature from." She pulled out folder of papers and forms, tapping the one displayed on top. "I'm investigating a case and they might have been a witness."
