Being a platonic cynonari stan in a primarily romantic cynonari stan world is tough bruh

Idk if anyone agrees but I cannot imagine Tighnari having romantic feelings in general. Maybe it's me projecting a bit but i headcanon his view on romance is very aromantic but he doesn't even realize it (or care) himself. Now let's pretend I didn't whip half this paragraph outta my genshin headcanon doc,,, anyways-

Tighnari aro king because I said so (this is partially a joke pls I respect anyone's headcanons lol) He's the type to have those really strong platonic relationships like with Cyno. The type where people are like "Oh you guys are dating, right?" and Tighnari just be like "no we just besties fr" He loves Cyno so unconditionally in such a platonic sense to me. Fr will cuddle with his besties and be super affectionate but it's still very much so platonic. Again, he's like unaware of it though lol romantic thoughts don't even really cross his brain unless he's asked about them to which he'll literally say he hasn't really thought about it. I just can't see him having romantic feelings for some reason ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And I know the majority of people ship him and Cyno so I once again want to establish that I have no beef with the ship and just don't ship them lol

I think Tighnari and Cyno are such platonic soulmates. They are attached at the hip and are literally with each other any time they aren’t busy. Tighnari isn’t one to take breaks (nor does he like the heat of the desert ofc) but Cyno will most definitely pause his duties (if it’s not detrimental) to stop by and say hi to Tighnari even if he’s just greeting him and leaving 2 seconds later. Even if all Cyno gets in response is a quick “hello” They are besties your honor

I had to get this out in the world because while I do not mind people who ship cynonari, whenever I see romantic content abt them there's a lil voice in the back of my head that's like "ayo where the platonic cynonari content at why r they kissing-"

And not to tarnish this post by bringing up Al Haitham (who I must establish that I dislike to the extent that I'd be ok if he never existed and was never introduced to the genshin plot :) so warning if you don't wanna hear me slander Al Haitham lol), while I don't see Al and Kaveh having a solid friendship like I do with Cynonari, I'm not a fan of Alkaveh (Kavetham? idk what the ship name is tbh) content either. Maybe it's the Al hater and Kaveh liker in me but Al Haitham don't deserve that love smh. That and I just can't see any romantic tension between the two it just seems like two roommates who genuinely don't get along lol I could honestly go on a whole tangent about my dislike for Al Haitham but i'm choosing to keep that in the dms with my friend, we r the #1 and #2 Al Haitham haters up in there lol

Summary, I like cyno and tighnari as besties and I hate al haitham, I don't think he deserves kaveh in general mhm ^^

tears of the kingdom aka the heart attack nintendo gave me this morning

First of all, I’ve yet to speak about Zelda here, it’s a newer interest (aka I got into it in the past two months) that has very quickly become my current hyperfixation. Anytime I get into something new I honestly have this little moment of embarrassment where I feel kinda dumb for having attached myself to a subject so darn quickly ig lol, so i didn’t feel like screaming about it on here. But… I cannot contain how much I want to talk about the one and a half minute clip we got in the Nintendo Direct like only a few hours ago.

My brain functions arguing aside, we have a name, it’s no longer breath of the wild 2 :D I do not like tears of the kingdom. to. be. completely. honest. I don’t know what I was expecting so I can’t really say what I wish the title was instead but idk the title just doesn’t feel right. I bet after a while I’m not gonna care anymore and it’ll just be another title to say when I’m talking about the games. I suppose it fits (it does idk why I'm saying i suppose), Hyrule’s being thrown back into ruin, not exactly a happy kingdom. Plus there’s probably some meaning to it that I’m not quite getting and will have an aha moment for eventually-

As for my expectations, I hope we get a more cohesive storyline. While I enjoy the concept of having a completely open world game and think having a storyline that adjusts to fit your gameplay is fun and interactive, I really think it took away from me enjoying any of the plot that was there. Of course I enjoyed it, but I think it would have been more enjoyable if maybe there was a clear order for the memories and some of the quests you have to do. I’ll say it keeps me from rushing through the game just to get to the end, but I still think it leaves this undesirable want for a better built story. Again I understand why they did it with botw, trying to make a solid open world game where everything is truly up to the player. But I hope nintendo takes a bit of a different turn with totk and tries to sort of merge a slightly more linear storyline with open world stuff. I think I just want cohesive objectives rather than “Here’s the final task and 4 things u can do or not do if u want to make it easier.” Not that I dislike that, in fact I love it and think it was an amazing way to make an immersive game BUT I’m just saying I don’t want the same thing. We got that from botw and it was awesome but now I want a new game. Part of why I say that is just because I don’t want botw and totk to be the same game. Some new mechanics and an altered map will just feel like someone slapped a detailed mod onto the game. I have to remind myself that it’s a direct sequel and many things will and have to be the same ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

ELEVATOR! I do not know why this shit got me so excited but I can elevator into the sky and that’s all I want in life. ngl I was too focused on the elevator thing to notice the big ass tornado mf to the left what is that-

Does he not take fall damage on this or is this just nintendo showing the cool new features without wanting him to just ragdoll off- Most likely the latter but you bet your ass as soon as I get this game I will be jumping down to whatever that thing is and seeing if I die or not. It will probably end in death.

Also, if I can’t ride/get on top of giant snowballs and roll down hills on top of them in totk, i might just not buy the game- (hint hint wink wink nintendo r u listening)

May 14th is so far away,,, I had to quit my job a little bit ago because I moved abt 4 hours away and honestly I’ve yet to reapply for anything… totk got me wanting to get a job just so I can pay for it when the time comes- I am truly the ceo of letting games urge me into getting jobs just to pay for them alone…

spoilers : 2.8 Hidden Strife event quest storyline + contents of Diluc’s letters scattered around Mond

This is a lot of word vomit, I started getting a little too into it the more I wrote lol

ngl my brain is both very empty and very full after finishing all of the event.

I should start by mentioning that my favorite character in the game is Diluc and has been since I first saw him. Yada yada love at first sight or whatever. Just there to put in perspective how much I love this event and all the little details.

I was originally upset at the beginning of the event cause I was already bummed out by how the GAA had turned out (maybe I shouldn’t have gone into it thinking it would be exactly like last year… but still!), and then I’d been waiting excitedly for the event related to Diluc’s new outfit only to see Diluc didn’t actually seem to have a big role in the event. It seemed more like it was just referencing Diluc and I was not expecting him to show up later nor to learn about the countless letters that hold more lore than I could handle at the moment kshdkdjfk

I won’t go into detail about my every waking thought while doing the quest becuz I most definitely can, but that’s not interesting. Know that I may not have understood some information correctly, it’s hard to understand some of the letters especially without clear senders and out of context words ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Theres about 20 (im rounding) letters if I’m not mistaken. We have 6 on the table at the Dawn Winery, 9 from Kaeya in the Dawn Winery as well, 2 to Jean and Varka in Jean’s office(?), 2 to Albedo, Alice (and Klee) in Albedo’s lab, and the interesting box on the roof of the Knight’s headquarters

Straight to the point, I’m happy with the route hoyoverse took with the ragbros relationship. While I was expecting a big reconciliation event between the brothers, I’m more happy seeing that in actuality, they’re not on horrible terms.

I must say I’m outraged by seeing “beautiful handwriting” on Kaeya’s letters. If I’m not mistaken, I thought during a quest or something with Klee that we learned Kaeya doesn’t have the best handwriting. Whether it’s actually just that Klee can’t read well or Kaeya’s words just weren’t clear to Klee, I still liked to think his handwriting was bad. A poised and well-mannered knight who likes to pretend he’s good at everything, but…. he can’t write well to save his life. I liked the idea of the subtle imperfection. Though it wouldn’t make sense, it would be much more probable that his handwriting is indeed very nice. He’s the cavalry captain and works closely with Jean, it’s no doubt he’d be writing letters and notes left and right. I bet he used to add stars to his ‘i’s when he was younger cause he thought it was cool and occasionally still does it on accident sometimes ^^

Speaking of Jean, Diluc’s letter to her along with the one to Varka did not stand out to me at all, in fact I don’t remember the contents of either. Same for Albedo’s. The one for Alice did though! First, Alice’s letter among the ones we read as apart of the quest was the only one that caught my eye then as well. The fact that Alice said “I hope you won’t mind if I treated you as my own.” when talking about how Diluc was nice to Klee and addressing his father’s death. Alice you got too many kids under your wing now you need to call it a day sweetie- but honestly I think it’s very sweet. Diluc’s tidbit abt Klee being able to come over whenever was very cute. Makes me hope that when Klee calls him a weird grown up that, just maybe, she’s just teasing him. Knowing her age and mannerisms though I don’t quite think that’s it,,,

I feel like Diluc’s resentment against the Knights is just petty Diluc refusing to to drop something he started even after coming to terms with the fact that he doesn’t despise the Knights anymore. He’s just (rightfully) salty about it and occasionally wants to poke fun at them in his own grumpy guy way.

BACK TO KAEYA now that I got the other stuff covered, the ragbros rekindling is more important.

I must say, it’s quite the letdown to learn that Kaeya’s mysterious eye won’t be coming as a big plot point relating to khaenri’ah. I was hoping for cool golden glowing eye, dramatic scene where kaeya is revealed to secretly be a prince of khaenri’ah and has bigger magical powers. Some of that may very well be true, who knows, there could still be more we don’t know about his connections to his home. BUT the eyepatch having anything interesting under it, not quite.

A quick rundown because I had a hard time understanding what actually happened just from reading the letters. During Diluc and Kaeya’s fight, Diluc did indeed injure Kaeya’s eye, something that left a scar. Kaeya isn’t blind though, from my understanding it’s merely a scar. Kaeya tried to trick Diluc into thinking he’d blinded him, though it appears Diluc didn’t believe him. Despite this Kaeya still wears the eyepatch to continue his little lie.

Personally I think it adds a lot to Kaeya’s personality, he continues holding up the lie by keeping what’s under the eyepatch a mystery to anyone new. Very Kaeya of him I must say. Always dramatic.

Just seeing them banter even through letters sent back and forth felt so on brand, I’m glad that despite their father’s death changing them, they still uphold their brotherly nature. Sure, they aren’t hugging and chatting through gatherings and the city’s festivals but, they aren’t at each others throats necessarily. I also think it’s sweet one of them (who, I can’t tell) seems to keep the box at the top of the knight’s headquarters as a sort of time capsule for the two.

While I had originally expected more about their past between their father’s death and the present timeline, I’m very happy with how it played it and know knowing it, I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. That sounds peak cheesy ik but I honestly don’t know how else to say it, I think it was a job well done on hyv’s part lol

I am a sucker for angst, it’s not ragbros if there isn’t some sort of angst. BUT the lack of angst felt quite freeing. I’m glad there wasn’t any more than the occasional sad mention of Crepus or Kaeya’s “reminiscing” at the Dawn Winery while Diluc was away. I’m glad the brothers still talk, I’m glad they kept in touch while Diluc was away.

That’s probably the thing that shocked me the most about the letters. Kaeya made an effort to write to him a decent amount, even being the driving force for Diluc to leave Mondstadt for a while (in good nature ofc). It’s lowkey comforting to learn that during Diluc’s darkest time, while still being a depressed batman wannabe, he kept his chin up, most likely for those around him. He wrote back to them, and continued to write to Kaeya during his absence. Knowing that he was aware he had Kaeya and that he wasn’t alone makes me feel all warm and fuzzy kshdkdjfk

We all wanted our happy ragbros reconciliation moment, and it seems it had already happened all along. Again, they probably aren’t on the best of terms, but they talk, they tell each other things, they joke with each other, even about their pasts. To know they don’t absolutely resent each other is enough to put my mind at ease over their relationship.

Continuously updating games like genshin are tragic, gachas in particular lol, so many people won’t be able to experience this event because Genshin is always moving onto the next thing, forgetting old events and pretending as if the whole of the world got to experience it despite them gaining new players constantly. Gotta keep us on our toes I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

He also looks like he gives bone crushing hugs. also not very important but he’s the ninth harbinger and 9 also happens to be my favorite number hehe

Something I disliked abt Yelan was the fact that while being a strong and assertive character, she’s bad at taking no for an answer and thinks everything she says is correct just because she has experience (granted yes she is quite clever and knowledgeable but that doesn’t mean her ideals match everyone else’s ¯\_(ツ)_/¯). I think Arlecchino seems to have a similar personality but that know it all far too authoritative person. She seems to have her priorities straight also has quite the attitude but it feels a lot more confident than Yelan. Yelan comes off as a sassy teenager to me…. confident in a “if my confident does end up faltering I’m screwed” way… if that makes sense? Arlecchino seems a lot more stern ig. It’s honestly hard to describe Yelan and even more so trying to compare her to a new character who’s had only a few lines of dialogue in a teaser trailer. Lowkey trynna get my point across while also developing my point at the same time lol.

Basically I get Yelan vibes from her, just a more confident and—for me—likable personality. I’m overanalyzing a few lines but her vibe just seems to fill in the gaps that I didn’t like with Yelan. Could change when we get to know her more tho, who knows. I was obsessed with Ayato before his banner, even after we got trailers and the official art, BUT as soon as he was playable, I did his quest, and got to know him, I lowkey dislike him. Not even a neutral I don’t mind him, I just rlly don’t like his personality. Quite lackluster if you ask me 🫢

I was never a dottere guy. I don’t dislike him either tho, he’s kinda just there. I do think this “version” per se is more flattering than in the webcomic. Just a tad bit more pleasant to look at I suppose. Overall he has a nice design I think his hair is nice. He also looks quite younger in the webcomic which is interesting. The webcomic obviously takes place a good while before the games storyline but still interesting. I was hoping to get to see his whole face though .-.

SUMERU! Given I don’t have much to say about the tiny ending to the teaser, ima talk abt the livestream and some of the new sumeru stuff instead because I also haven’t been able to blab to anybody abt those lol i won’t mention any leaks about sumeru, only official content.

Gonna be completely honest here, I keep reading his name as thighnari for a while lol I THINK HES SO PRETTY THOUGH I quite like all of the Sumeru designs. While yes I think Tighnari’s outfit is a bit crowded and could use some simplifying, I think the colors look nice together, he’s very rainbowy with mostly blue. I love the hair being a lil blue-black with the green streaks, also the style is cute. AND THOSE EARS, THA BIG BUSHY TAIL. In the least strange way possible I wanna pet him- His eyes are also quite pretty. He looks very soft, personality wise. Nice guy, probably a favorite with the grandmas like Kaeya.

I do not like Tighnari’s en voice though. Granted I play in cn so I’m not gonna have to hear it but I still like to know how they sound in en and also only rlly watch the trailers and stuff on the en youtube channel. Except for that one time I wanted to hear Itto’s laugh in all 4 languages lol

Still contemplating whether I wanna pull for him or not, we shall see when we find out more abt that update’s reruns and such. I’m really only interested in getting Kazuha cons (4 to go 🤩), the only other characters I’d consider getting on their reruns is Itto and Yoimiya. Given Itto JUST had a rerun that I had to skip and I won’t have any primos for Yoimiya, I doubt they will be obtainable any time soon.

Collei never interested me from the start. I wasn’t able to get attached to any of the webcomic characters and that includes her (elzer lowkey kind of bad tho 10/10). Even now with the end of the teaser and her release, I’m not a fan but who knows maybe I’ll get to know her and like her a tad bit more ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ she’s so baby faced lol I also thing the lil comment amber makes about her is sweet:

"Oh, you're going to Sumeru? Can you give my regards to Collei? Well... it's been so long, I wonder if her hair has grown out and if she's taller?" — Amber

Dori looks cool, I love the color palette again. I have a feeling I’m not going to enjoy her personality tho, she looks quite smug. I’m not much of a fan of all the genshin kids… they’re all so mature other than Klee. Klee has the sweet I wanna grandma pinch her cheeks vibe. I want another child character who’s just a kid enjoying their life without the qualms of adulthood being shoved onto them. Aka I am lowkey projecting the fact that I do not like the idea of being an adult now that im 18 lmao BUT BUT like I said with the others, my opinions will 100% change once we get to know these characters. I maybe end up liking Dori but I also may end up finding a way to dislike her a tad bit more than I originally did.

Also I think the Sumeru vision holder frame thingy(?) looks so cool I’m excited to see the ones for all the other regions. I like that they’re all different. Liyue’s is still my current favorite though.

My recent fixation, Ibara Saegusa, specifically his rapping- (bare with me I can’t stop using ‘-’ at the end of my sentences it’s my thing rn lmao)

I remember the first time I heard an Eden song with two characters rapping, I immediately thought “I hope Ibara and Jun are the ones rapping.” For some reason I was really sold on that idea and prolly would be upset to learn it was Nagisa instead (no disrespect to his character I just rlly wanted Ibara to rap lmao). Keep in mind, I’m not an EdenP, I can’t tell their voices apart- so I had to watch the MV for the song I was listening to so that I could see who was singing at which parts.

Mayhaps dramatic but I was overjoyed when Ibara started rapping and for Jun to follow. I think they fit as the group’s rappers. Ibara doesn’t give off skilled idol rapper vibes lmao I think that’s why I enjoy it so much, it feels quite spontaneous for him. BUT I DONT EVER SEE ANYBODY TALKING ABOUT IT??? is nobody as fascinated in it as I am,,, the hidden IbaraP in me wants to find others who also appreciate his rapping.

I wasn’t the biggest Ibara stan for a while, had the whole he’s a snake mindset, but he lowkey growin on me which is why I think I noticed his rapping and rlly love hearing it. Mainly his part in EXCEED. SHIT HITS FR I love when he comes in- it goes so hard and I find myself replaying that exact part over and over every time I listen to the song outside of the game. Jun’s rapping is cool too but it doesn’t quite hit like Ibara’s does for some reason.

From what I know they only rap on EXCEED and Awakening Myth, any other song I’m either blanking on or don’t know- PLEASE TELL ME IF U KNOW OTHERS WHERE EITHER OF THEM RAP!!

On the topic of Eden though, I also wanna point out how obsessed I am with Jun’s part at 3:28-3:34 in Deep Eclipse. That part is so pretty, another one that I just listen to replaying that part over and over.

That has also brought another thing to my attention tho lmao Jun’s voice is so funny to me. It does not look like it fits him. Though I personally think that’s very in tune with his personality. I remember trying to make my own lil unit with all the characters with deep voices (I like to hear them all sing walk with your smile lol) and I couldn’t figure out one last member and I was like lemme throw in Jun (not knowing much abt his character) he looks like he’d have a deep voice. I WAS WRONG. His voice isn’t incredibly high pitched but higher pitched than I was expecting and it still surprises me. I think he’s got a gorgeous singing voice tho ^^

Episode 1 : Undertaker

I was kinda hooked immediately. I found the show from some random insta post that I’m really hoping I wont realize is a spoiler by the time I get to the episode the clip was from,,, The whole concept was laid out pretty quick, from this episode and the next. Obviously more things came into play and more was cleared up through the episodes but the simple concept was still relayed pretty well off the bat. The whole genre of this anime is something I really vibe with. My favorite genre is action and I feel like it plays a little into that plus mechs are always something I kinda gravitate towards, Pacific Rim is one of my favorite movies.

Episode 2 : Spearhead

Episode 3 : I Don’t Wanna Die

Oh how I love angst. If you know me even the slightest and know what media I like, you’ll know I’m the biggest sucker for angst. Preferably some with a little bit of fluff to combat all the sad shit. But no. Not today. I think one of the things I enjoy about this show is that I don’t feel like any of the female characters are these pretentious stereotypical ones. While yes I understand anime girls have a certain personality that’s either “ooo look I’m the tiny girl with a high pitched voice” or the “I’m fucking badass and ill punch a baby” OR the “I’m not like other girls I have a life outside of school” but I enjoy the ones that break those common barriers and manage to actual interests me. I’ve definitely noticed I’m usually more drawn to fictional men and then actual people wise I’m more drawn to women… bUT the girls in 86 are refreshing to see amongst all the anime girl stereotypes. My whole point of explaining that is to say, I actually liked Kaie, which surprises me. Just by looking at her I was like “Oh I’m gonna hate her.” But by the end of the second episode I was like “eh she’s not that bad, I actually quite like her character.” A foolish decision on my part. Twas very distraught that they killed her off right off the bat too… I liked what she brought to the group. But I did enjoy the mood it set, introducing us to the fact that everyone dying wasn’t just something they made up. I also enjoyed how sudden and quick her death was… I know that sounds weird but once again it set the mood, reminded the viewers that it’s not like those hopefully situations where they build up to the death of a character. Nope ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ a few seconds to get across what’s about to happen then bam she’s gone… That shit gets me so excited, I really enjoy when shoes make me feel a shit tons of emotions and the intenseness(?) of 86 for sure does that.

Episode 4 : Real Name

I’m reading the desc on fuckin wikipedia just so I can get a refresher for these first 10 episodes lol n e wayz theo that mf gremlin, I like how everyone pesters him abt what he said, and when Shin tells Lena that Theo doesn’t speak for the rest of them was sweet. Gorlie was doing her best we love her for that. I think I should also mention, Lena’s my favorite character (as of the 10 episodes I’ve watched). I love her personality, gives me shonen protag vibes minus the annoyingness. She’s so determined yet she’s not making the determinedness her whole personality, it just fits in with the way she handles things and how it connects to her relationships. She doesn’t falter when it’s inappropriate, she’s not overly stubborn, she’s not afraid to show her emotions and to stand up for herself. She’s ruthless I like it.

Episode 5 : I’m With You

Ngl the ghost voice thing kind of feels out of place for me, it doesn’t fit for some reason… I have a feeling it’ll have a bigger impact later but as of now I’m just like bro do we rlly need that in the story, you wouldn’t have to change much of the plot if they left it out. Dunno, just don’t like that part but eh, gives me more angst!!

Episode 6 : Through to the End

Ah this episode hurt. Up until this episode I rlly liked Daiya. I told myself don’t get attached he’s probably gonna die, smart move becuz I was able to move on like a few minutes after he died and just me like “ah man I wanted him to live” rather that sobbing like I did in a later episode,,, I don’t remember her name ngl but that one girl dying also hurt, idfk who she is or who her character even was before this episode ngl bUt the way she died was kinda oof. All of the deaths are very sudden and you don’t have much time to think about what’s happening which just adds to the effect it has.

Episode 7 : Will You Remember Me?

Ngl this is the moment when I realized there were many flashback moments and redoing scenes just from the different points of view of the squad and Lena lol I was confused what came first a lot of time. I wish we had a few more moments with Anju and Daiya, it would make me feel a bit more sympathetic about the whole thing but all we really got was them always talking about Daiya’s crush. If they were given a lil moment, Anju upset over his death would have such a bigger impact. I got used to everybody dying at this point actually,,, I did 100% sob when they had the whole lil firework montage of everyone who died, it was oddly pretty but also hella depressing. Also the suicide mission part definitely made sense and was something that was kinda obvious from the beginning. I understand why Lena wouldn’t have grasped that though, knowing her position. Kinda sucks, you know they just threw her in that position on purpose, just to play a part in the Republic’s scheme (all the different names for the places and people confuse I’m just gonna how to the republic was the right way to label that for now lol).

Episode 8 : Let’s Go

Convinced this was just a filler to prepare us for the nonsense of the next episode-

Episode 9 : Goodbye

Shit was the least fun of all the episodes I hated it I was banging my fists on the table. It was an ending I was not expecting, very much so confused me. The closure with the brother was raw, intriguing, weird, oddly sweet??? idk but it was a nice conclusion to that bit. Plus LENA GOING HAM SHE WAS SO ANGRY WE STAN RLLY SAID FUCK THE RULE I DO WHAT I WANT! We love her, at least I do. I’m gonna be completely honest, I did not understand that they were just leaving the borders of their region or whatever, I thought those mfs were like going to their death for some shit why tf was Lena sobbing so hard. Ikik it’s becuz she didn’t wanna lose contact with them but still the way she was crying I thought they was dead until I got to the next episode and I was immediately straight faced like “ok so I cried all those tears for nothing???”

Episode 10 : Thank You

Another filler scree I want Lena back what’s the queen up to. Until further notice Shuga is the one I shall be attached to from the spearhead gang until he either dies or until we get Lena back hmph. The happiness of this episode so far does scare me… I’m just waiting for them to be laughing and shit and then a bomb just explodes underneath them or something,,, The lil montage thing had me dead and not in the laughing way, SHIT WAS SAD :(((

Episode 11 : Here We Go

I like how Shin keeps butting in trying to protect the gang despite damn well knowing they will just proceed to go help him. Dude foolishly throws himself into a fight and doesn’t think about the effect, including his friends going after him. LENA GETS TO KEEP THE CAT THO that made me very happy, the letter was so sweet too

Episodes 12 : Welcome

ngl this is the point when I’m getting bored, go back to the action and angst and random ass surprised,,, I don’t have a lot to say,,, Lena’s a handler for a new group I believe, spearhead was rescued and have a new home. This is basically just a time skip episode to show what’s happened over the time. Seeing Lena still with the cat (who’s name I think is Teppy?) was very cute.

Episode 13 : It’s Too Late

Shit yea I got it spoiled from the insta post- They’re all having fun with their own lol lives tho it’s kinda cute, IK IT’LL BE RUINED EVENTUALLY THO :D Shuga’s so sweet I loaf he, man’s speaks his mind and doesn’t have any shame in explaining his boundaries. Also Theo’s taller than I thought- I don’t know his name, but the dude who took them all into his care, I think he’s very thoughtful, a little forceful, but I think he’s got the right idea. The little girl, Frederica, she doesn’t have the impact that I think they want her to have… idk she just feels like a b-plot that I’m not all too interested in. That aside, at first, I thought them going back to fight was strange. Why would you wanna go back to something you worked to hard to escape? I’m realizing though that it makes a little sense. They’re very used to having a lot to do. They have so many things to fight for I guess. They have to avenge their fallen comrades and as long as the Legion is still fighting, they‘ll always want to fight. I like that rather than just throwing them into a happy life and calling it a day.

Episode 14 : Glad to Be Here

FIDO MY BELOVED that damn robot it’s literally a puppy that was so cute. That’s the only takeaway from the episode thank you.

jk anyways yea there was the spoiler I got, Eugene be dead fr,,, aND RIGHT AFTER THE THING ABT HIS SISTER YALL R SO HARSH- That’s what I like about this show though, everything’s so sudden lol there’s no room for lighthearted moments because in two seconds someones prolly gonna die. I gotta say the fact that we didn’t get too much time to know Eugene was oddly nice, I didn’t have time to get attached to a character before they killed them off. Right, it still stung becuz damn kid just wants to live with his little sister and give her a good life but that’s not gonna work out anymore. Nonetheless, they didn’t waste time offing him as soon almost as soon as he showed up.

YAKSHA LORE !!!

spoilers : 2.7 quest stuff in general

In case anyone is wondering, my favorite part of genshin lore is mostly the Liyue related stuff, yakshas in particular. I love angst, it’s the first thing I look for in game storylines, books, fanfics, characters ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Gives me a nice fuzzy feeling lol The whole story of the yaksha and Xiao’s ✨traumatic✨ life draws me in so easily. I have a whole google doc that’s all just my yaksha theory stuff (a lot that was either confirmed or debunked(?) when I did the quest today lol) BUT that’s not the point! THIS EVENT FILLED SOMETHING IN MY HEART IVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR AH I love the yakshas so this entire event has been a blast knowing what it’s about.

I very much so enjoyed each tiny cutscene, all the characters I never thought would interact interacting. I’m sad Itto and Xiao didn’t have a bigger interaction. I love Itto’s whole big brother vibe towards Xiao and I would enjoy a relationship with them where Itto kinda fills a bit of the hole that Xiao’s yaksha siblings left behind after they died.

I really felt like the whole time Xiao was kinda just over it. He wanted to either save or have closure with Bosacius leaving. He didn’t want his friends (a word I think he’s slowly getting comfortable with once again) to die, so he felt like the easiest solution was to sacrifice himself.

I feel like I shouldn’t be saying this because it’s literally Xiao contemplating death but uh he looks so fucking pretty at this part. The way he looks up, lowkey majestic, I love him.

That aside you can tell he thought for a quick moment, probably more “I wonder if I can do it.” rather than “I wonder if I should sacrifice myself to do it.” Mans do not care about himself and he makes it obvious to everyone.

I really enjoyed the moment when Yelan just went ham on him for even considering to sacrifice himself. She didn’t hold back and didn’t try the whole “bUt PeOpLe WiLL miSs YoU!” shit. She said it like a slap to the face and it clearly got through to him. Your sacrifice isn’t worth it if everybody can’t get out, including you. She even pointed out his whole tough exterior being a cover up. While it’s obvious Xiao is a strong much more elite being than others, despite not being a human, he’s still a person, someone with thoughts a feelings and Yelan indirectly pointing that out did make me appreciate her character a little more. She has an interesting approach with those she cares about and knows she can trust that I can somewhat respect.

For some context, I don’t enjoy Yelan’s attitude, her whole “I’m better than everyone because I have experience and trauma” vibes bothers me, but there are things here and there that make me appreciate the tiny details in her character. I’ve yet to do her story quest so mayhaps I will change my mind if it gives us a bit of a better glimpse into her character.

That also brings me to this. WHEN I TELL YOU I ALMOST SOBBED- Again, I don’t like Yelan, but this look on her face made me b r e a k- She barley knows Xiao, but the thought of losing an ally, someone she recognizes her friends value, makes her crumble. It felt very unusual to see her make that face, even though we the players also haven’t known her very long. Xiao u heart breaker smh

The entire cutscene was fucking gorgeous, I loved every moment (kind of, the red blobs were kinda confusing and I was like bro ok I get it they’re fighting while doing this, move on). Aether animated in cutscenes always makes me happy lol he’s so bouncy and excited, ready to fight. Paimon just chillin cause she don’t know wtf to do. Zhongli saving Xiao actually didn’t happen how I thought or wanted it to,,, I had it spoiled for me that he saved him but the way he saved him was kinda lackluster to me ig. While I do think it was really pretty and well done, still a great way for that scene to end, I was still kind of hoping for a lil more dramatics on Zhongli’s side. I suppose he’s not much of a show off anymore  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I think the whole Xiao’s father figure being Zhongli was in my head and I was like “What? No coming to his aid and heroically rescuing him in the same manner he saved us?

I do think it’s quite poetic to see the way he made no effort to prove it was him who helped other than looking down on Xiao before leaving. I bet he had a tiny smile on his face just as Xiao looked over at him. Xiao’s face looked so sweet. I can’t put a word to the face he made honestly. There was a hint of confusion, disbelief, surprise. Many emotions running thru his tiny little brain. I like seeing him properly animated, it’s nice to see actual expressions rather than the dull face he has as an npc most of the time. I hope we get some sort of scene where we (or even just Xiao) have another interaction about the whole event.

I want to say it’s my favorite part but it’s not lol The story of the yakshas just fueled my love for them though and it was so excited to actually get to learn more canon information about them. Watching theories get confirmed and sparking even more in the process was neat. I hope we eventually get to learn which yaksha is which other than Bosacius and Xiao of course. My favorite has to be the geo yaksha. Don’t know why ngl I actually thought he was quite ugly the first time I saw him and I was obsessed with the pyro one for the longest time but now he’s growing on me. I think he’s quite pretty and his voice is very calming (despite that we only got like a second of a voiceline from him, I tell you I overanalyze anything and this guys voice is included).

Tbh Bosacius ugliest sibling- no shame. The rest of them are so pretty and Bosacius....... pyro yaksha got me on my knees I swear. The hydro one is cute too I love her she sounds like a sweetheart.

Yelan pulling that turned into Barbara pulling as soon as I realized she was on the banner. My Yanfei and Noelle were both already at c6 so this was kinda painful lol but I did finally get c6 Barbara!

I am very happy, getting Mona means guaranteed Kazuha con plus I did get Barbara <3 Mona’s first con looks kinda neat too I may build her who knows. I actually did the Yelan test run after this and I’m glad I didn’t pull her, I don’t like her playstyle ngl /: she’s pretty and has cool animations but I’m also not vibing with her personality after doing some of the quest stuff,,, strongly taking itto’s side thru the whole thing smh

WAHHHHHH I’m so excited! ngl I thought I’d be very underwhelmed with this update but I’m so interested. My biggest excitement is the rhythm game but we’re gonna act like that’s not my favorite part-

THIS THING LOOKS SO PRETTY I DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT IT IS BUT IT LOOKS NICE I can’t tell if this is an existing place in the chasm or like a tiny new area? Xiao mentions something like a domain so maybe that lil doorway is a way in or out? Not quite sure but the compass thing looks so epic.

YELAN I think I was pulling for her,,, she’s so pretty and I love her animations. Alas, I refuse to let Kazuha down and I’m staying strong cuz I have his c2 but I’m desperate to c6 him lol

HEARING HER VA WAS SOO COOL TOO I think both her and Shinobu’s eng voice actors fit the characters appearance. I love Yelan’s Korean va tho oml it’s such a pretty voice.

The camera angles with Yelan, bruh they knew what they were doing she’s so pretty- her movement and fighting style in general are so cool, very dynamic. Same for Shinobu. While I have no interest in pulling for Shinobu cause her character doesn’t interest me much, I still think she’s really cool. I’m not too happy about her kit, even considering that she’s a 4*

xiao my beloved <3 I’ve got a side acc for genshin where I pull for characters that I like and want on my main but am fully aware would not benefit my teams at all. So despite Xiao getting a rerun and my love for him, I will once again be skipping him </3 ITTO THOUGH I want Itto so bad because I foolishly skipped him the first time around for shenhe- but again, we savin’ for kazuha so I must resist the temptation. I might try to get Itto on my side acc, who knows (I have no pity built up after Yae lol).

Anyways, back to Xiao. This trailer supports my idea that despite being a lil reserved party pooper, Xiao does not know how to shut up once you get him talking. He didn’t say much in the trailer but I feel like he’s gonna have so much dialogue in game with how passionate (?) he sounded in the trailer. I wonder if the lil hologram lookin thing of him is supposed to be a portal. Reminds me of the abyss portals.

I can’t tell if it’s related but Xiao seemed to be saying something along the lines of “If you’re still alive why would you become like this?” My brain immediately went to that MIA yaksha. I could be really far off lol but it’s the first thing I thought of. I wanna know if that green haired person is related to who Xiao may have been speaking about. The only thing that makes me think otherwise is that Itto seems to know the green haired person and I feel like Itto has little to no relation to Liyue especially in yaksha terms. My favorite part of genshin lore is the Yakshas so I’m hoping we get to learn more about that and that I will not be disappointed,,,

Also why tf are Itto and Shinobu here lmao I don’t understand how they fit in such a Liyuean focused plot but that’s okay they’ll explain it lol

omg the siblings jazz hands they’re back together, except I don’t think so lol Xiao’s saying something’s not right with the domain and my current assumption is that the sibling we see in front of us isn’t actually them, whoever’s messed up the domain is showing it to us to lure us in. Idk but the way Lumine seemed kinda fuzzy drew me away from the thought of it actually being her along with the space their in, look like the mf character menu lmao

the like red and black vortex shit confused me it looks cool and I’m excited for that part but I don’t know what it is.

And my favorite part -u- Rhythm games are peak entertainment for me. I’m not a fan of the set up of the last two(?) rhythm events we had, but as an enstars fan this one has me so hyped. All of my millions of hours playing enstars have prepared me so this very moment It actually looks challenging in the best way. I’m just really picky about the rhythm games I play and this is my favorite format, set up, way of playing them, whatever you wanna call it lol I’m so excited for this event and I wish we got it sooner.

I’m hoping it’s earlier in the update thought I doubt it seeing as it was one of the ones announced later. That one fighting one does not interest me at all and I would be skipping it if we didn’t get a free weapon from it. It was announced first so I see that coming first in the update but maybe I’ll get lucky and the drum one will be beforehand or together with the first event seeing as it’s a little simpler!

I made a spotify playlist for 5WIRL just for funzies after the addition of heizou, if anyone wants to recommend songs feel free to ^^ it’s meant to be song i think they’d all sing, a few being some their actual VAs sung lol

Personal preference, I like 5WIRL better than AN5MO lol that or we should just keep it as 4NEMO otherwise we gotta change the name every time we get a new anemo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My own lil take on 5WIRL, Venti’s the main vocals and him and Kazuha write most of the groups songs. Xiao and Heizou are the two rappers (Heizou will 100% start randomly breakdancing on stage despite that it’s not in the choreo for that performance). Aether and Kaz are like backup vocals type beat, stand and look pretty <3 Sucrose and Jean manage the group, Sucrose on stylist duty. Lumine is their number one fan who drags Sayu to every performance despite that she sleeps right through them.
