A lil something i cant stop playing in my head

The metal handle of the blade felt cold against my skin. Clutching it to my side while passing through the blood soaked soil. Is there truly no end to the suffering? The rain may wash away what happened but the memories will forever be burned into the ground under my feet. I did not know where I was heading and that is fine with me. I will keep moving forward. The metallic sent from my clothes kept me going. The bodies of friends, family, and enemies alike lay lifeless around me. I don't know when I had fallen to my knees, only that the splash of cold mud against my legs brought me back to the reality I sat in. What have I done? What was all this for again? Was this fate truly worth it? I had known that witch was right when she told me i would regret but I didn’t listen. 

“I-...” my voice startled me at how broken it sounded. I took a breath in and exhaled the words I desperately wish they could hear. “I’m sorry…”
