I have fur babies, which are kitties that live with me and family: Inuyasha, Angel, Eddie, and Scooter! We might have one more, but he is a stray that comes in every now and then. Seems to like us though! But we think he already had a home but we are still looking~

⚠️ Vent ⚠️ (I didn't mean to spill too much of my life story) you can skip if needed 🫶

I suffer from an unknown, uncommon condition called Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)

It's related to my nervous system (affects my anxiety) and it's when my brain doesn't have the normal functions that it should when it's dealing with certain emotions. For me it's anxiety. It causes me to have these strange episodes that cause me to have confusion, bad anxiety, dazed look, loss of strength in legs (I won't be able to stand), dilated pupils, blurriness, panic, and in some cases rapid movement of the arms and head (almost like a seizure but it's not).

I have gone through several doctors, hospitals, and psychiatrists to get this diagnosis. It was a unique thing to have. Especially to teachers and other students at school. Teachers didn't know what to do. Students would make fun of me and start rumors that I was "faking it". And after so many brain scans and tests they came out with this result.

I always expect people to give me this look of confusion when I tell them what's wrong with me. I have to explain every time, which is fine I don't expect them to know it.

It can get frustrating when your mom plays it off and tells them it's "just anxiety" when it's more than that.

I didn't go through so many doctors just for you to say "it's just anxiety".

I also deal with bad depression and horrible nightmares, they get to the point of being very gore-ish. It's so bad it wakes me up and I start crying. And the strange part is, if I watch a horror movie, I don't have any nightmares. It's like a release for my brain so I don't have to have one that night. Watching a scary slasher movie is better than dreaming about things that seem too real and based on my memories.

Relationship trauma and family trauma, it all sucks.. especially if it gets to the point that if I smell a certain scent or see something that reminds me of the exact moment of the bad trauma memory that I just break apart and just cry.

Anyways..

Sorry, I didn't mean to tell my life story.

I just wanted to spread the word that there are people who struggle and have this.
