(Continuation) Epic au (crack) where odysseus becomes a tiny man while they are sailing back to ithaca (he probably got cursed by a certain god) and now he has to deal with that while trying to safely get his men back home.

maybe i should make pov for the other characters while this was happening haha.

- they're finally at the cave. I didnt show it but somehow inanimate objects that tiny ody uses becomes tiny too (for convenience! and also no it does not turn back to normal - or maybe it'll turn back to normal size when he gets back)

- was gonna make a scene where polyphemus sees tiny ody and similar to the lotus eaters reaction is to take him (look at that fluffy hair ;;v;;) thats why he wants him to stay too

- odysseus convinces the cyclops to drink first and maybe hell change his mind or hell consider it.

- of course, he rejects it and asks that they leave. and yeahhh, it doesnt go well.

thats about it ^^;; no idea how im gonna continue this, i mostly just drew snippets of what i think would happen.

fun fact: this wasnt the original idea i had for this au. The original was that, the crew and penelope see him as he was before he changed but for some reason EVERYONE ELSE sees ody as this tiny man.

like this was fueled by the sheer image of circe, after turning back his men, looks at eurylochus with fury and shouts at him for letting a child become their captain.

eurylochus looks at the captain confused and looks back hands raised placatingly and explaining that his captain is the king and is competent enough to be THEIR captain.

and some crew members just shouts back to defend the captain and second in command saying things like "Yeah the captain is just shorter than the rest but he is NOT a child."

"... maybe?"

"i mean lord poseidon did ALSO get angry that were letting a child lead us..."

"...but were not?"

"I meeeeannn--"

and now everyone is starting to make some crazy conspiracy theories.

- athena may or may not have a hand for why the curse is only temporary.

Not sure if there's an au like this before ^^ but if there is please tell me!! And also this would be my take for this au if ever.

- okay, I think I have an idea for the reason he got cursed. When he tries to bargain for Hector's baby life, Zeus got ticked that this mortal won't just obey him.

- so after they disembarked to sail back to ithaca. Idk, Zeus remembers that one moment and was like, y'know what? Imma do a throw away curse on this guy.

- that's why he suddenly transforms while he's on the ship.

- and naturally, everyone is wary of what this could mean.

Summary: Epic au idea where odysseus slowly becomes self-aware that he's in a musical with a live audience. The only problem is that he doesn't know what a musical is?

Summary: Epic au where, for some reason, Hermes becomes human who is stuck to odysseus, and instead of walking, he's just constantly in every piece of furniture that isn't the floor. And if he ever wants to go to another room, he will parkour it and act like he's dying when he even touches the ground.

Traveller! Polites ( that is definitely not Polites of Ithaca nor Prince Polites of Troy)

Summary: Epic au where Polites is not actually a soldier from ithaca but rather just a traveller who had the same name who got tricked into the army.

Summary: Epic au where odysseus dies and becomes a ghost, and the only person that can see him is penelope. Unfortunately, penelope is in denial of his death and is slowly going insane. The family suffers.

Fake warrior of the mind au (ft. Hermes)

Summary: where the magic boar challenge didn't exist but Odysseus with Polites and Eurolychus still managed to defeat a boar in the forest. While they celebraing, odysseus notices someone had been watching them. So he does what any, definitely, sane teenage boy would do, bait it and accidentally guess the wrong name of the god. Too bad, everyone also concluded the same thing, and now he's trying (and failing) to stop the rumours and save himself from the wrath of goddess athena.

When he said he wanted to learn more about his father, I don't think he meant to become a soldier during the war he was in. (ft. Telemachus)

Summary: Little time travel epic au where Telemachus, who wants to learn more about his father, accidentally prays to the gods and somehow wakes up during the Trojan War as one of the Greek soldiers.

Talk with the prophet. That's what's happening, definitely.

The second last part of the many sketches, although I might not do the last part because I don't know how to do it ^^;

- so they finally talked but basically what I think it was going for was that

- tiresias only knows about the audience because at some point in the future or his past interactions with the other gods/goddesses revealed that they exist.

- and that most of what he knows comes from what he said or told others, I guess?

- and then he mentions that he doesn't need to do much because he would have the opportunity to learn more about them and his and his crews fate if he lets himself follow his predetermined path.

- since I'm not sure if I'm gonna continue this, basically the last part is gonna be the dimension travel part of this au.

- where temporarily during intermission of the musical, he gets to be in that dimension. And you know interact with the other actors.

- while the actor of odysseus is also stuck in the musical until the start of the second act.

The gods might know something about his situation right now, right?

You guys are already figuring out what I had in mind for this au. 3am me was just throwing out ideas that might happen in this situation ^^

- kinda deleted what I drew for ocean saga because it would be kind of the same just with aeolus glancing to the audience more frequently and poseidon not really caring.

- sleep deprived odysseus is fed up with all the singing that seems to lead and mock his and his crews misfortune.

- but he needs to save his men after they turned into pigs. So he's about to enter the same path to the forest as eurylochus went.

- but then he hears the lyre and just stops. He didn't expect the music to also stop as he did. It's like time either slowed or stopped, waiting for him to continue.

- so he tests this by faking a step forward, the strings continue and he backs aways.

- yeah, he's not going this way. And wonders, if he tries to go to another path to the Palace would the music still play

- he wasn't able to practice it because hermes shows up and continues his, musical number.

- and provides a final advice. Hermes meant it as 'be careful because you don't know what you're dealing with. And gather more information.'

- odysseus hears it as 'the gods are entertaining themselves by using him as a playing piece in their game' idk something hostile that makes him distrust/hate the audience more.

- his conversation with circe is more of a test that other gods know, and also trying to figure out what she knows.

- but it seems like they don't know but are aware that 'they' are there to observe them.

- I was actually gonna include that circe only noticed 'them' after odysseus appeared.

- but didn't have space to put it.

- anyways she advices him to instead go to the prophet.

Sharing could help lighten your burdens. But not if everything you say about it gets twisted into another thing.

To read page 2 since the dialogue kept changing ^^;

- eurylochus had not seen odysseus move from where he was for a while now and is worried.

- while odysseus is still processing everything that happened. The death of his men and the strange things that kept occurring.

- so when he sees eurylochus worried he tries to explain everything. About what happened in troy. The singing. The music. Polites death. The audience.

- but instead what eurylochus heard was something else. How odysseus feels guilt in troy, how he shouldn't have led his men to the cave, and how polites death was his own fault.

- so odyseeus was confused with eurylochus reply but figured out that-- he heard differently than what was said.

- so odysseus gives up and just continues looking back to the open waters. Seems like they are forbidding him from telling other people who are not aware of them about them.

That's about it ^^. Just two friends talking, nothing bad is gonna happen in the next part I swear :DDD

It must be pretty weird to suddenly hear your dead friend speak and see a bunch of people watching you cradle his body.

- for this au this was the moment he finally sees the audience.

- for a short while he was in the stage where everything is just a play being watched.

- for now he doesn't really know what to do with this information.

- but he felt and saw it. That everything, for a moment, was fake.

( his stay in the other world/stage would become longer the more he's stressed(?) Or overwhelmed by emotions. )

Note: I might add something else, I gotta sleep for now hehe.

For this au I was thinking he becomes more self aware when he's in a stressful situation or maybe just stressed?

- at first he doesn't really realize that he's singing because it felt as natural as just talking. Nor was he bothered that the other people around him are also singing with him.

- but that kinda changed when as he was gonna drop Hector's son off the wall. He suddenly felt like the bundle of cloth he's holding, is lighter than it should be.

- no, it felt like he was holding nothing but just cloth. So odysseus, disturbed, checks to see why. But the infant was still in his hands.

- but that 'event' led to him being suspicious/cautious of other things. Until, for some reason, he can also hear a faint music before anything happens.

- but so far, he's concluded that it's usually him that starts the singing and not the others. So maybe this curse only affects him?

- but no, others can also start singing even without him leading it.

Only problem is that he doesn't know what a musical is and is just slowly realising like-- why does he sing at random moments with the enemy/crew/the gods??? There's music playing out of nowhere. Sometimes, his sword feels lighter or his surroundings are different.

Oh yeah, he's stuck to odysseus. So whenever Odysseus doesn't want to talk to hermes, he just goes to another room. And listen to hermes shuffle and break so many furniture's before he gets to the room ody is in.

(Head canon: Odysseus can remember people's faces but not their names-- just for the sake of this au working)

I finally finished the last few sketches that 3am me did for this. Although, I can't remember the original dialogue I made for this, I hope the idea is still there.

- eurylochus and polites becomes friends first in this au. And other people (still a small portion) got inspired of what polites was doing and starts helping when they're not busy.

- polites doesn't really mind anymore but he does still try to keep a low profile.

- that is until Odysseus is finally not busy and decided to call for polites. But even before meeting him he was already suspicious of one of his men suddenly doing this and decides, hmm a trap won't hurt would it?

- polites is nervous but he expects that hey maybe he won't recognize him because no one knew about polites of ithaca when he got there. I mean eurylovhus did know his name but not enough to recognise he's not part of their men.

- while odysseus just sees this stranger coming in with Eurylochus, the latter introducing polites and Odysseus thinks 'I don't recognize this guy.' But still decides to play along.

- I think I remember writing in the conversations how their inner dialogues was like:

Odysseus thinking during their conversation: shifty eyes, he looks nervous, either this is the worst spy or-- wait, what if he was a spy then he might be from troy. Considering that he seems used to being called polites, could it be... Prince polites of troy? That can't be.

Polites thinking during their conversation: I don't know what's happening but he looks really tired and should try to rest-- I mean look at all these documents just randomly thrown on the table. I hope he gets to relax after this.

- After their conversation, odysseus is now theorising that either: this "polites" is a spy or is polites of troy. But he didn't look at the documents except for a passing glance. Wait, maybe he knew it was fake.

Then I just have to figure out a way to get him to slip up. Then we can interrogate him thoroughly.

- polites is just minding his business happy that finally! By tomorrow the real polites is going to be back. Afterall, the guy promised to come back after a month right? He's prepared extra food given to him and some money enough to travel away from this place.

He can't wait to finally get away from troy.
