Sludgeling Swarm
CR 2 Elemental
A playful tide of tiny, mud-born elementals that flow and slop over intruders not in malice, but with overwhelming curiosity. They mimic gestures, cling to movement, and sometimes forget they're heavy enough to smother a grown adult.
💬 How would you explain personal space to a sentient puddle?

The reason I like wild magic sorcerers so much is because not only it adds a fun level of chaos and randomness to the use of magic, as well as making it feel more like magic because it isn't entirely controlled. Is because it can also be used almost as a form of disability representation.
Because in a world where you have magic, and quite a lot of issues or problems can be fixed using it, making the magic also act as one of those potential issues is a very interesting concept to me.
Like a sorcerer gets their magic from within so if they overexert themselves they get really badly fatigued and their magic can go haywire because they just can't control it really anymore.
While at the same time you can also do it so that If they don't use their magic enough, it can also backfire and cause a wild magic flare up.
I feel like It can represent a lot of things depending how you do it, But as someone with ADHD it can feel like the unable to sit still and unable to not be doing something because you need the constant dopamine. But at the same time getting burned out and exhausted so quickly and then getting hit with that wall of fatigue from burning yourself out so fast. But ✨Magical✨
(Also, it is possible I could also have chronic fatigue, but I'm not diagnosed with that officially yet so that may be a factor in that but I don't know technically... So...yeah!)

Amplify Resistance
Level 5 Abjuration (Bard, Cleric, Paladin, Ranger)
A glimmer of divine warding, a shimmer of gemdust — with a touch, resistance becomes untouchable. This potent abjuration seals away harm, turning pain to nothingness… as long as the shield holds.
💬 If you could be immune to one type of damage, which would it be?

More DND rambling
Homebrew idea/headcanon!
So how how most D&D classes get their magic is like a huge part of their character.
Like wizards dedicate their life to studying magic
Clerics devoutly worship a god or deity of some kind
Paladins swear an oath to a god or someone or something
Druids channel and embrace nature
Warlocks sign a pact with a demon, devil, Fey or other deity
Etc.
And sorcerers get their magic through their blood (usually)
And while that is kind of cool by itself, I feel like it isn't as interesting most of the time as how the other classes get their magic.
So what I like doing is having this optional additional aspect to a sorcerer's magic!
Let's say that sorcerers are meant to develop their magic around puberty/ adolescence, what if they develop their magic too soon like as a small child/baby, or they develop it way later than they should?
Well my thought is what if the separation or sudden presence of their magic causes it to become stronger in a different way than like stat wise. To the point that the sorcerer's magic themself almost becomes a separate being, one that is still intrinsically connected to the sorcerer and is basically part of their soul.
But they act like A guardian or mentor, or even like an imaginary friend. It would depend on each their sorcerer how their magical being is, because the magical being is still technically them but it's their magic personified.
Possibly a good way it can be viewed is like the dream guardian from baldur's gate 3 (minus the emperor bit), where maybe the sorcerer can only see them in their dreams, or maybe maybe the sorcerer can see them almost constantly but they're the only one that can see them, even possibly it could be their shadow!
Like with a shadow sorcerer, they're magical being could be their Shadow who acts independently from them, but still close enough that you wouldn't notice at first glance until there's suddenly a face appearing on the sorcerer's Shadow where there should not be one.
Or for a wild magic sorcerer, the magical being could be the one causing the wild magic surges because they got bored and they feed on chaos. Possibly even floating around and interacting with the sorcerer on a constant basis, acting as an angel/demon on their shoulder or an annoying ghostly entity that follows them around.
Or maybe for a draconic sorcerer they could have their own version of like mulan's mushu, a little dragon companion that only they can see. Or even this ghostly magical version of a dragon who appears whenever they use their magic as if they are the ones casting it themselves.
And for every other kind of sorcerer the options are endless for how this could be interpreted!
They could even act as a familiar! Like a little ghostly magical cat thing that follows the sorcerer around and helps them cast their magic. Who everyone else thinks is like a normal cat, but in actuality, that is just a little ball of magic subconsciously summoned by the sorcerer to be their familiar.
I think it adds a little more intrigue to sorcerers to have this aspect, especially while the other classes usually have some sort of companion or external way to view or interact with their magic or the person who gives them their magic.
And it wouldn't be like it's their patron or a god or deity they worship, because at the end of the day that's still them in a way. It's just a part of them that has separated just enough that they've become their own distinct person while still being very closely tied to the sorcerer in question!
Anyways, that's my ramble for the day!

♒ - cooking/food headcanon from the headcanon list 👀
Oooh this is a fun one! I don't see a specific character mentioned so I'll just give my general BG3 tiefling food/cooking headcanon 💕
Generally, I think heavily meat focused meals would be popular with tieflings.
To my best understanding/currently accepted headcanon, tieflings exist because they have a fiend as a distant ancestor (or because their parents/themselves made deals with devils, but in those cases I think the tiefling just carries on the standard Faerun food/cooking tradition that they were raised in).
Cambions are more immediately related to devils (one parent is a devil and the other is a mortal) and it's mentioned in lore that their diet is entirely carnivorous. And so for me it stands to reason that a preference for meat would persist down the line for future tiefling generations too.
Plus they have those sharp fangs that are perfect for tearing into meat.
I think tieflings can of course still enjoy non-meat related foods too, though. In fact, if you try to pickpocket some of the tieflings in the druid grove in act 1 many of them have pears in their bags, and if you save Danis then Bex gives you those homemade cookies she seemed to already have on her as a future snack.
I just mean that the tieflings all definitely include at least a couple of meat dishes in every meal- breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
I can't recall who first said it, but someone else also mentioned that tieflings would love spicy food and I 100% agree. Infernal heat resistance and spice tolerance just go so well together, you know?
Also, I think cooking together and eating communally is very important to them as a group. They're pretty universally shunned by Faerun, so strong family ties would probably be significant for them and bonding over shared meals fits perfectly in that dynamic.
Lore seems to claim that tieflings don't really have their own culture or foods because they're such a scattered people, but I call BS on that. In real life, the Roma/Romani peoples have historically been shunned and treated horribly and they're pretty scattered too but they still have their own distinct cultures and recipes and languages that persist and survive.
Sooo, I think tieflings definitely have their own unique recipes that they pass down from generation to generation and I think they make the best meat based spicy curries you've ever tasted in your entire life. Listen, will you have heartburn for three days afterward? Yes. Will it be worth it? Also yes.
Phew, that was a long one. Thank you for the ask and for listening to my rambles! 😅😘💖
