THIS IS NOT REAL. If you get this comment, they’re just trying to get you to delete your fic.
1) I would have gotten some kind of email from Ao3 if this was true
2) this comment is formatted to be perfect to tack onto any fic they choose
3) ALSO why on earth would Ao3 get rid of entire fandoms off the site? Even if they WERE inactive? Who knows if others will be ‘late’ to the fandom and want some fic to read. Who knows if someone wants to come back to their 6 year old account only to find most of their fics deleted.
I’m lucky to be a reasonable adult who has seen tricks like these who also had a very kind person comment their own doubts.
Please let your Ao3 friends know <3

...so, I may have figured out why the migraines are persistent. Though it may be a simple dietary change, it's going to be tough. We shall see how it goes, I may still suffer, or I may actually get better.

Haven't been able to do much of anything. I've had to isolate myself at home and hardly have done anything but read when I can.
My head keeps fighting me, was alone with a migraine today, and it ruined any plans I've tried to make. I'm miserable. One minute, I think things are going to get better, and the next, I'm screaming in pain and worried I'll stop breathing if the pain doesn't let up.
I'm not okay, I'm stuck in bed and can hardly eat most days.

just a heads up to my fellow writers out there that AO3 is currently fighting off bots commenting on people’s works to tell them that AO3 will delete their fics “due to the works being deprecated”, and the deletion will affect their accounts unless the authors delete the fics themselves first. IT IS A SCAM. AO3 will NOT delete your works. please do NOT fall for these bots!
I’ve been told the reason why these bots are doing this is due to copyright infringement issue where they’re trying to steal your works (possibly to train AI but this is just a guess) ‼️‼️‼️and once you deleted your fics, it will be either very difficult or impossible for you to claim ownership of your own fics when they were already deleted.‼️‼️‼️
a reminder that AO3 will never contact you through your comments section (in case they claim to be one of the moderators). AO3 will only contact you through your email address which you use to register your account, and it will be from AO3’s official handle. not some sketchy ass @
so if you get a comment telling you you should “delete your works to protect your account because AO3 is doing blah blah blah” report that comment. don’t delete your works.
PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THESE SCAM.
AO3 IS NOT DELETING WORKS.
DO NOT DELETE YOUR WORKS JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE CLAIMS THEY KNOW SOMETHING.

So Rivals the show over Rivals the book 100%!
Is it a good read for the most part? Yes, though it's fairly dated at times, the show fixes a lot of issues in the book.
Maud is still trash to me, as is Cameron, for the most part if they keep her character on par with the second half of the book.
Taggie has so much more character developed in the show, and it makes the show Taggie superior as well as the show version of Rupert.
I think we're going to have a lot of drama going into the next half and considering all the changes from book to show it's hard to say how much of the book stuff will be seen on screen.
Especially with the turns they've taken for Tony and even his son Archie... I don't see the show half following as close to the book half.
Spoiler;
Seb and Taggie don't even attempt to date in the book. Rupert's jealousy is brought on by well. You might guess it. The fact he seduced Cameron and can't just leave her for Taggie.
A telling sign of what we will be facing in the show. *sigh* Among other things, omg, I hate Tony, Maud, James, Valerie is just annoying. Bas is more of a rake than Rupert, Maud does not deserve Declan and Cameron just need to figure out herself without being a bitch to the world.
Trauma induced characters all around me and still I can't feel for Cameron with how she treats everyone around her.
Taggie is a punching bag for everyone. Even Rupert has some moments, but he at least apologizes for his actions!
Also, I'll say it to end my rant of rants....Rupert calling Taggie 'Angel' and no one else but Taggie that was the best call for the series, and I'll be bitter if they change that.
...and well, I'm ready for season 2 because I'm already bitter over the end of the book.
Just didn't really feel like it was a solid enough ending.

The more Cameron speaks about Taggie in this book, the more I want to slap her across the face.
Show Rupert wouldn't put up with this shite. Book Rupert needs to get hit just as much for letting her say such things.

Alright, the additions and takeaways in the Rivals TV series are actually better than the book. I love how close the series has stuck to the book, but so far, I have to say the TV series is superior.
Which is saying a lot when you go from book to screen.

Depression is reading rivals and loving Taggie so much more, but hating Maud so much more.
I grew up with a Maud like mother, so it's not easy to accept the way Maud is developing in the book. No more than what we've seen on the show.

Monday I went home early because I had a migraine attack at work. The attack lasted 13 hours even with pain relief meds. Tuesday I called out of work; yesterday I worked a full day without issues.
Until about twelve am last night when I had a migraine so badly I suffered for four hours straight.
I had to call out again today, and now I don't know if I can go back to work...and it's terrifying to think that the reason I'm having this pain is literally because of where I'm working. A job I waited months for after leaving my last one because of issues.
Now I'm in a worse-off situation and may have to leave this one.
This is crap; I can't afford not to work, and I can't afford to keep suffering with such intense pain that it may lead to having a stroke.
