So as a challenge to myself I made some token markers! I left some that can potentially spoil the narrative of the module under the cut.

I’ve never read homestuck but I have heard of classpects which I find fascinating

would you mind sharing what you think the mcyt characters would be if they had classpects ?

Jokes about homestuck aside, I actually really do like the classpects. They represent both a characters core ethos as well as their place in the meta narrative. I'm rusty but I'll see if I can't brainstorm a few ideas...

The basic understanding of classpects breaks down into 2 parts, class and aspect. The aspect is a concept. The class is the modifier of how the user relates to that concept.

That being said, here's some quick ideas! (Also I'm referencing the definitions from these two pages! ^-^ )

Bdubs - Maid of Light: -Maid: Prepares their others in their session through their aspect/ serve their aspect -Light: Knowledge, fortune, and light itself. He turns the night to day! A true diligent server sleeper, dutifully bringing the daytime to all.

Jimmy - Bard of Doom: -Bard: Invite destruction through their aspect or they invite the destruction of their aspect -Doom: Bad ends and misfortune. It is not a hot take to assign Jimmy a doom class. We all know this.

Pixlriffs - Seer of Time: -Seer: Knows/sees or understands their aspect. -Time: Inevitably, rhythm, death. A class for a man of history and respecting the dead.

Scar - Thief of Heart: -Thief: Steals their aspect from others for use it for their own benefit. -Heart: Soul, impulse, positive emotion. My best idea of a class for the sweet talking swindler.

DocM77 - Mage or Rage: -Mage: Are aware of their aspect and its influence. -Rage: Negative emotion, fear. Not 100% on this one, but I wanted to show Doc's awareness of other's fear or him, and how he uses that to his advantage.

Rendog: Witch of Blood: -Witch: Takes control of their aspect and control it with mastery. -Blood: Ties, relations, leadership You could go Knight of Blood for a more Red King-centric take, but I like this to represent Ren's many personas.

Skizz: Sylph of Heart: -Sylph: Ones who heal through their aspect/ones who heal their aspect. -Heart: Soul, impulse, positive emotion. Skizzleman is good for the soul -u- a bringer of good vibes and affirmations.

I should probably stop now, but this was fun! Though please don't think of me as the homestuck mcyt person now, I have enough on my plate haha. If you still need your classpect fix I know there's a blog who was doing all the hermitcraft members alongside art, though I can't find them now. If you can, though, send them some love! <3

I like to imagine that Joel would still love Lizzie as a worm. If that isn't reel, reel love, I don't know what is.

Sadly S1!Joel is dead now. So I guess we'll never know~

was she smaller back then or was she guarding a ginormous egg by human standards but looked like a regular chicken egg when next to her

imaging the huge baby serpent rapping herself around a tiny/big egg is making me feel something

In SDAU Lizzie would have been a lot smaller, basically human size, when taking care of the small damaged egg. During the events of empires S1 she is just a bit smaller than current SDAU!Codfather (Here is an older art of her!) It took several centuries of growth to reach that long, noodle-y form.

Quick Update! c:

Sorry for the lapse in MCYT art/art in general, I've been either a bit busy or socked in the face by seasonal depression. I've been reflecting more on my mental health recently, and I've pinpointed some things that are keeping me from working on my fan projects as much as I'd like to. I'll keep private about it, but I'll say I have a better grasp on how to handle deadlines and expectations for my work now.

I also have a lot of asks I haven't answered. Sorry about that too! I've put aside some time now to get through some c:

Swamp Duo AU is still continuing, as is the Super Hero AU (though I've barely posted that one) I will say for SDAU, people have stuck with it despite the hiatuses. It means a lot that this series has had a lasting connection with people, so thank you all! I have a fic still in the works, but I want to make some smaller art about it too c:

I understand that this isn't a job, and not making au content isn't something I should be sorry for. But I don't know how to phrase the beginning of this post without an apology, so you get one! :D

Character is a deep sea triton paladin (or maybe cleric) from a nomadic clan who migrate between whale falls. The religious of the clan considers light and the concept of gifts from above as holy, and strongly value hope and trust. I think it's a very abstract religion, with no concrete god(s) or sole correct interpretation. His armor's made of carved bone and coral, and he wields a morning star made of a large vertebrae. He will be on a surface-world pilgrimage adventure c:

!!SPOILERS for the ending of StP!!

Concept sketch for my interpretation of Slay the Princess’s protagonist. I like the canon vagueness of his design, but I came up with a concept I wanted to explore c:

He has 2 pairs of wings, one on his head and one on his back. The "Narrator", in trapping him, clipped his wings and disguised them as hair and a cloak. Best to not to give any reminder that flying out of the woods is even an option.

The smaller pair wrap around his head like hair, the few remaining primaries folding over each other as bangs. On the “thumb” of the wings are birds feel, decoratively chained together. Don’t be fooled into thinking that chain isn’t meant to hold, though.

The larger pair drapes limply off his shoulders like a cloak. It’s fastened by an X shape. You know the one, when people are lazy with drawing medieval clothing (myself included) we use it as a closure, a formless cross drawstring. You don’t question it when you see it. You wouldn’t suspect it’s two massive metal staples puncturing his flesh.

He can’t see his wings for what they are, so he doesn't feel through them. Not until he can manage to remember...

The Narrator: The pain is threefold.

First comes stiffness, an ancient ache creeping in from the edge of your perception.

Awareness of this newfound sensation latches on to your mind and pulls, quickly fracturing into a sprawling map of new body parts.

It’s your hair. It hurts, in ways hair shouldn't be able to hurt. Every fiber protests against you despite being just hair mere moments ago.

The fabric of your cloak betrays you as well. You're inescapably aware of the space you now take up. New, itching, uncomfortable, ugly sensations form all down your back.

Voice of the Hero: It's like we just regained blood circulation there. We're being stabbed a thousand times over.

The Narrator: It doesn't end there. Injuries that previously gone unnoticed now make themselves known. You recall running sharp fingers through your hair. Only now can you feel the dried blood. You would've taken better care of that cloak if you'd known it was made up of you.

Voice of the Hero: But what's happening to us?

The Narrator: The web of pain maps out its shape. Two pairs of feathered wings become part of your body once again.

Voice of the Hero: 'Once again'... having wings makes sense, I suppose. But how could we have forgotten this? It seems so inescapable now.

The Narrator: But as you go to reign motor over your limbs once again, the third pain rears it’s ugly head… cold, harsh metal digs into your flesh.

It pins your limbs in their poses. A tiny set of cuffs pull small wings taught around the circumference of your head.

The closure of your "cape" is two enormous staples, staked through your flesh and clamped down hard. There's no blood here, the wound long since healed.

...Who or whatever did this to you, it was never intended to be removed.

Voice of the Hero: Maybe we should keep more vigilant in the future. If we can't trust our own body... I don't want to think about it more than we have to.
