Adventures in graphic design

Client: Can you convert this low-quality image scan of a script page into editable text for me?

Me: What am I, a wizard?

Me: *sigh*

I made this as an invitation to next week's Halloween party. Not an original idea, mind you, but I think it turned out well considering I didn't have access to Illustrator when I put it together.

Three flyer designs for our Halloween radio show. The Frankenstein's monster one was selected for publication.

This was where the spiderweb element in my Halloween to-do list originated.

I had a lot of fun working on this, as I was finally able to let my spooky gawthness shine through!

If anyone else wants to get in on the fun that I had making a list, here's a template for you to either print out and write on or type on using a design program. Have fun, and happy Halloween season!

Based heavily on this bucket list by fuckyeahallhallowseve. Some of them are personal and don't make a lot of sense.

The original is 18"x24" and is going on my bedroom door for me to check off as I do the items on the list.

I'm putting this in a tarnished silver photo frame I bought for a dollar at a thrift store. Minimal effort put forth while making this! (You can tell.)

Every time a client asks for a design...

Me: Oh em gee, this is the most beautiful flier/poster/ad EVER. I am a magician. I am a GOD. People should bow to this gorgeous creation. Look at dem colors! Dat typeface! Dayum!

Client: Ew change it all plz.

Me: Okay

Printed on vinyl adhesive paper, adhered to a used tub of Greek yogurt. To be finished with waterproof sealant for good measure.

Labels that I'm planning on Mod Podging to some recycled yogurt tubs. It's designed for use with Brown Cow Greek yogurt (the smallish tub), although it might not fit perfectly because I'm not the best at math (also, Tumblr has probably resized it). We will see!

I've never used Mod Podge, so I don't even know if this will work with the condensation that will inevitably build up in the fridge. I have an acrylic sealant that I'm going to use on it as well. Obviously, this is pretty experimental. I just couldn't deny my inner Martha Stewart's creative ramblings.
