stuck in the moment - a bokuroo meet cute

“Aaaaaaaaahh,” Kuroo hears, waking him from the micro-nap he was having against a streetlamp, and causing him to jump at least six feet in the air. He looks around, unsure if the sound was real, or was a part of a dream he was having. Especially since it’s 3 am, the middle of winter, and he hasn’t seen a soul since he left Yaku puking at his dorm mates feet, and that had been at least 45 minutes ago. Before he has time to fully contemplate whether he’s so drunk he’s imagining things,  he hears,  “Ugh, dammit. Please, oh juicy buns, squeeze through!” He wonders if he really should have heeded Kenma’s advice and stayed home, rather than going to the club. Or Kuroo hears a sound of distress on his way home after a night out. What does he find? Bokuto half stuck in a fence, of course.

Anyway this disability pride month I would like to shoutout disabled folks whose creativity has suffered because of their condition. I’m talking people with hand tremors and pain that stop them from drawing, knitting, and playing instruments. People whose thinking has become so disorganized that nothing they write makes sense to other people. People with chronic pain who can no longer dance. People so over medicated in a fruitless attempt to maintain stability that the wells of their imagination have run dry.

I see you and I love you. You are more than your creative output. You are not a shell of what you used to be. You are a whole, complete person, regardless of what your creativity has been, is now, or will be in the future.

HAPPY ONE PIECE LIVE ACTION (buggy) DAY

as someone who is a character girlie first, I am so so happy with how the one piece live action turned out. so many things the characters did and said just felt so intrinsically them even if they weren't originally from the manga.

I also think most of the plot changes were good, and somewhere even great. I really appreciate the fact that, because they know where the story is going they can put in references to future events (like introducing us to zoro with baroque works trying to recruit him). I am honestly too one piece brained to know how/if this would appeal to a non op fan, but I can't pretend I didn't have a great time.

most of my complaints are production based, in that the cg often looked not great (though that didn't bother me that much being used to anime cg lol). also it was sometimes it really felt like they were using green screens, but it was usually like one shot in the middle of something that looked entirely practical, and I don't know if that was because of reshoots or if it was just edited weirdly. and there were so many close ups of characters speaking that were just way too close for the situation, and it felt uncomfortable sometimes.

but for all that, i still never expected it to be this good, and I'm so glad, and i wish we can get a second season (mostly so I can see best girl robin)

i love the idea of buggy being more of a part of this version of one piece, but come impel down luffy /still/ doesn't remember him. just think of how much funnier that would be

i'm up to episode 6 now, and I'm just brimming with thoughts and feelings, but can I just say, I love how iñaki adjusts the string on his hat every time he pulls it on and off. it's such a small detail but it add so much to the character. If I don't see like 5 gifsets of him doing it on my dash at some point, I'll be surprised.

I screamed so hard I choked when I saw that that they recreated the iconic buggy introduction shot from the manga. Aaaah I'm having such a good time. I just finished episode 1, and I'm just having so much fun! I keep pausing just to look at stuff. I feel like if I wanted to, I could nitpick it for days, but I don't want to, I just want to keep having fun!
