When going into an art high school for my freshman year instead of being placed into fashion automatically all freshmen were required to take a course for a whole year called design foundation. In this class we learned the basic principles and elements of art and we focused a lot on illustration. Through out the year we had multiple projects inspired by the different majors at our school. This video is a tour of my freshman year sketchbook each and every single week we were to turn in 25 drawings based on the specific subject areas. A question that I get asked a lot is where did I get my sewing machine from ? How much did I pay? and What brand is my machine? The machine that I have is a industrial machine it's from the brand called Juki which is made in Japan. The model that I have is the DDL – 5550. The brand Juki is known to be the best for industrial machines they usually retail for up to close $2000 but I recommend to get your machine used from a old factory this way you can save some money. The way I obtained my machine was I went to a tailor shop and asked the owner if you know where I could get a industrial machine like his. He told me he knew a guy who sells them used and repaired and he ordered one for me in the end it cost me $600.
