One thing that really bothers me about this whole Taeil situation is just SMs hold on the media.

But one thing that I am seriously disturbed by is from what we know, he has been investigated since JULY. Meanwhile, investigations were being done quietly behind the scenes and NO media coverage or anything. The control SM has on media is very alarming and concerning. The fact this man was going around acting like everything is fine while this was going on? And NOTHING. No media leak or police leak. SM dropped him the moment they knew they, too, were jeopardized because from what we know, the victim was getting sent people to intimidate and scare her *cough**cough*sm*cough**cough*

I would be on my toes every day if I was a member of NCT are you kidding me? Let's not forget the debut of the Japanese unit, NCT Wish. While members are being kicked out to form new groups and solo careers, an entire reality series is released to debut a new unit. Just like that they're expected to move forward. I'm happy, mind you, that the Wishes got to live their dreams and debut, but the timing of it all really is messy. That is the fault of the management of course, not the members'.

i really hope y’all are choosing your morals over kpop; because we do not know these men at all. i will never side with or defend a predator and a criminal, even with little to no proof. even if there is the smallest chance he may be innocent, i will always believe the victim first.

as a nctzen since 2016, I was disappointed and repulsed by the news of Taeil being involved in such crimes. I considered NCT my safe space and my form of escapism from reality for 8 years not knowing that one of the members was involved in crimes that harm women. never in my wildest dreams did I ever think an NCT member would be linked to a crime that harms their target demographic. it truly disgusts me thinking about how deeply involved he was in for him to be investigated by the police.

Understanding how we struggle with self-harm is the first step to addressing it. If you struggle with any of the above whether slightly or severely, it is important. You deserve happiness, safety, and good health. If you notice yourself struggling with these I encourage you to reach out to a mental health professional or support group where you can start developing healthier coping mechanisms.
