hey so tumblr just added this thing (community labels) and by default ALL these category filters are set to remove anything labelled with these from your feed entirely (not just blurred).

Please remember to go into your settings and adjust them to what you prefer! if you're under 18, you won't be able to adjust them as they are set to Hide until you turn 18

this is what it looks like in settings (i have everything set to Show, the default is Hidden)

hi! I wanted to ask if your gifs are free to use/ can be used if given credits? I made a fanfic with one but decided to check your profile later and saw that your headers aren’t, but didn’t understand what about gifs! sorry if they also aren’t, lmk so that i can edit the post <3

I am totally fine with people using my gifs within Tumblr space only if they insert them via "Add GIF" function. This way, Tumblr properly generates a banner underneath the gif with username and a link to the original post/gifset the gif is from.

Just beware: make sure the watermark on the gif matches the username in the generated banner bellow the gif. All my gifs/edits have my watermark on them (it's always "daebom", I'll never change my username), so if it doesn't match - means it's a repost.

If you have time to spare, do message me about it if you come across one, I will report it :)

I'm sorry you've been dealing with so many reposters recently. So many people really need to learn how to respect others in this community, especially when it comes to the content someone makes and posts publicly. It's so ridiculous man.

Hey! Thank you for your kind message, but in all honesty, I've been dealing with this since 2018, when I started this sideblog and basically started my journey on learning how to make gifs and edits using Photoshop. And throughout those years, TLB and Scream (slasher movies in general) seem to be the most ferocious fandoms when it comes to reposting/original content misattribution. And I'm not centering this around myself as if it's only me & my stuff problem. I've seen tens of gifs I'd recognize anywhere by their colouring, choice of cropping, etc. made by other talented gif makers on here, which end up: reposted to other platforms, uncredited, wrongly claimed and/or re-edited (yes, some artist might have open t.o.u, but reposting in general is a violation in almost all social media platforms).

In my personal case, this is so extremely discouraging. You literally lose interest in contributing to the community by making content, because of all the ignorant people you have to deal with constantly. It almost becomes a dread to check the tags for my own enjoyment to consume other fandom members amazing works, because you're bound to encounter your gif/edit reposted somewhere in there... I don't think I have to ramble too much here, it's evident by my major lack of posting any gifsets in recent months, or by these occasional "call out" posts I have to make (which I'm sorry about, to anyone who follows this sideblog, they must be annoying to see on your dashboard/feed).

So yeah, thank you again for this unexpected care from your side on these situations, anon💓 If anything, sending the links of reposts to me is always appreciated (since only original poster/owner of an edit/gif can report a repost on Tumblr). Thank you and have a nice day/night! :)

Here's a little example: this post had one of these gifs of mine reposted. I reported the post to Tumblr and it got removed just like that.
