Protocultural Pondering

The Space Emigration fleet in its intergalactic crossroads, are met by the retrofit Zentradi cruiser TALOS, in order to carry out a special assignment of great importance, one that requires a radical step in regards to diplomatic interactions with the inhabitants of the Oceanus drift.

The duet of captains behind the command of the Talos; Moroboshi and Oniboshi, they're no strangers when it comes to collaborating alongside their Terran and Zentran allies, their whole ship is a testimony to the phrase "mixed-up", much like most of the crews and fleets that were raised from the ashes of the great space war back on Earth. But amidst their interstellar exploits, the crew of the Talos have always pondered if the Zentradi's coveted bioengineering devices, could work for humans too, based on solid evidence regarding the genetics of humanity and Zentradi alike.

Today..

it was finally proven by Captain Misa Hayase herself, that there wasn't a large difference as the crew first thought, even when questioned whether there were unexpected side effects or factors into play that could place a strain on the human physiology, the impossible became possible...

With this action....it reinforces the relationship between these two civilizations...regardless of their origins, their differences, the events of the past and those to come, Zentradi and Human..are forever one..and in the right path..they can bring peace once again to the milky way.

• the captains of the Talos are essentially cameos of the main characters of Rumiko Takahashi's Urusei Yatsura, and if you know the history behind the creation of Macross during it's early stages...I bet you can understand the deep cut reference behind their inclusion, if not, TLDR, Urusei Yatsura influenced the shift for what was originally called Battle City Megaroad into Macross as we knew it, either in its original form or it's Robotech counterpart.

•Misa Hayase's uniform: without going into too much detail, let's just say that this is a sneak peak of sorts into something I'm working on in the future.

Eyva and Phoebe in: The Wolfen Quest

The Bunnys are back~

For this 1st commission I was asked to draw, as Pypone said, a reverse/opposite scenario, as most of the adventures involving Phoebe and Eyva are of the rabbit witch visiting the contemporary setting seen in Eyva's world, well, here we have Eyva visiting Phoebe's world of dungeons, dragons, and wizardry, all 10 times bigger than the tinkering scientist herself and as such she's sporting an armored power suit for protection and enhancement.

As depicted here, We see that the dynamic duo has gone to a little excursion, a quest if you will, or rather the first part of said quest they've taken from the local tavern. Vanquishing some evil wolves that tried to take a bite out of them only to be knocked down with a bonk back~

Our...hero?

Varyanzer vs The Viper

Somewhere in a remote nation--on a special assignment, Finland's so-called size-shifting Hero has to stop a recently commissioned Mechanoid that has gone rogue, hijacked by pretenders that took the place of it's official pilots--The Viper Mechanoid went array on the streets of the high capital, and if it wasn't for Varyanzer it would've gotten far worse. While the hijackers were apprehended and have no comment nor defense upon their actions, the creator of the Viper herself has expressed further motivation to improve her craftsmanship in engineering! A surprising reaction from someone seeing their hard work getting some great set backs.

Captured in the right moment--Varyanzer has managed to defeat the runaway Mech while saving the lives of a few unlucky civilians that were cought during the rampage, all while she tries her best to be..."reassuring" to these fellas as much as she can. [Something noted by the residents of Varyanzer's homeland who have crossed paths before with the mythical titanic hero--as they recall times where they were saved by her and had to see that "off-putting" grin--keep practicing Varyanzer--you can do it] godspeed to you in your neverending race against evil!

Boiiiiii~ it's been some time--I've been waiting for someone to drop by till now! And it feels great to get back on the swing of things with Ibis Paint X!

I don't really have much to say on the piece itself outside of the shading among other touches like the background and vibes nailed down for me and my client ^u^ basically I'm happy how this turned out and so does my buddy Feyzer as he commissioned it in the first place! :> it's an honor to make my own take on your giant hero woman!

Bnnuy Cosplay Time!

BOI! Another anthropomorphic commission has touched down on my 2024 session XD

And this time is a dynamic duet of Bunnies [the Beeg one's named Phoebe and the smol one's named Eyva] bruising & cruising on a fan con, cosplaying as pilots from the SDF Macross universe of UN SPACY and Zentran sides respectively! I had fun making this chill piece :)

Fun fact: the color palette for Phoebe's Meltran/Queadluun-Rau flight suit are taken straight from--of all places, the Macross Pachinko game as it features a still-shot/snippet of Miria in her flight suit but the colors are not from the TV anime but completely new [part of a small series of changes to the outfits of the Zentradi fleet featured across the animation scenes of the Pachinko machine]--and I thought that it surprisingly fits really well for this Bunny Gal!

Honestly I'm not sure what else to say other than it's funny how this came together just a few days away from Easter X3 heheh

Mysterious Bnuuy Boi X!

Another OC! Or in this case a Sona on some cool cosplay based on a character from the FATE [or TYPE-MOON] franchise known simply as the "Mysterious Heroine X" [albeit modified slightly to incorporate tiny elements of Vinny's character design].

My Oh My! a full-blown Anthropomorphic/Anthro character design I get to draw and one of the rare few instances of me doing this type of design/character by the way; a nice little change of scenery from drawing mostly humans and the just-as-rare instances of drawing Automatons or Machines ^^;;

My first ever Neko-type character [and one of the few drawings I've done that isn't macro, mecha, and monster centric in terms of presentation/theme] that I have ever drawn in my existence!

And it's OC centric! As Plox requested for my hand's assistance in creating artwork of his boi Chev, depicted here chillin' on a skateboard park [plus featuring a little cameo or two of both his most popular OC and..]

The Decisive Battle: The Thunderous Lynx against the Hell Brigade

This...this was the exact moment, near inches from the capital of Finland that if it weren't for the bold and critical actions brought about by Finland's metal hero Fulynx...

...Helsinki would've become a scorched graveyard by this brigade of undead monsters and their two-legged living base...

This was a joy to draw from stage to stage, starting with the challenge of making my take on Feyzer's Fulynx, where not only I had to follow on the original design concept he had but also taking inspiration from, quite fittingly the same source Fulynx was inspired on: Battletech

Which brought me to one particular edition of that TRPG that I could draw inspiration from, the Japanese Edition Rule Book featuring Mech redesigns made by Studio Nue of SDF Macross fame!

Next up was coming up with a baddie Fulynx could blow up and coincidentally during that week I've been revisiting the underrated horror cartoon series Inhumanoids where I borrowed inspiration from the undead horror himself D'Compose.

And lastly, the background where I think I made my best sunset so far, plus the other details like the famous water tower of Helsinki and some bits of forest you can see below, I'm quite happy with how it came about in the end ^u^

Building Gunpla with friends!

[quick context: this last piece was the result of a raffle where a randomly picked user would be chosen and be given not only the last slot with the cheapest commission pricing I could give but also a free bonus gift]

This was such a pleasant experience in regards to how the shot was made and executed, with the main inspiration behind it being AdmiralTerk's MMD render depicting this scenario [link below]

The Fairy & The Monkey: Partners throughout time, space, and beyond!

My first sunset, and befitting of a cute moment shared by these two heroes :)

Plus it's also my first attempt at tackling, at least to an extent the world of DBZ through the buzzing metropolis of either Central, West or Satan City, whatever your pick is the point is made that it is one of my first attempts at tackling that Retro-Futuristic or Fantasy vibe that has ingrained itself in the visuals of that classic Anime which I wish to improve further along the lines.

The Might of the Great Daimono

Requested by this fella, I drew their Amazonian Titaness dealing with some fiends in the middle of a cityscape [SNK's King Of The Monsters style] and it looks like she's handling them real good with her bare hands!

For this drawing, I tried to channel the crazy posing and punchy energy from the work of Yoshinori Kanada's character animation with this! [and in the ATLAS drawing I also tried to capture that vibe with the explosion effect and shading with the big blue mecha boy itself!] something I want to explore more in other works as I really love his style of crazy action!

A Timid Titan

Featuring GT themselves as a timid titan above the streets and the gentle mantle of clouds passing by his visage like a river's flow, this drawing was a bit of a tricky one to complete due to the perspective but it was worth it once I nailed it with some aid! In regards to the city below :)
