Day 1 to 6

💫 “Why are we acting like Edalyn’s the only one with a curse here ?”

- Lilith has a point. Everyone is forgetting that she has the curse too.

- The curse warps magic. Their whole plan was to get Eda to warp the draining spell, but they failed.

- Is nobody else connecting the dots ??

- Lilith has the Emperor’s Coven sigil on her wrist.

- She didn’t have someone to rip her arm off.

- There is a high possibility Lilith had crumbled into dust at the same time Eda was beginning to disintegrate.

- Katya, Derwin, & Hooty would’ve had to watch Lilith die like that.

- This is the last time we see them all during King’s Tide.

- They’re all tied up and somehow Hooty managed to get RESTRAINED.

- Can you imagine these two teenagers having to watch Lilith crumble into nothing in front of them and they’re helpless to do anything.

- Even if they weren’t tied up, how would they know to rip off Lilith’s arm like that ?? They have no idea how the curse works and they’re just teens :(

- Hooty. Poor Hooty. Having to see his best friend die a horrible death and the only thing he can do is watch from a tiny bubble. You can tell he tried to break out of the bubble too from how tangled up Hooty is inside there.

- Eda won’t have to deal with just the loss of her kids, but her sister as well. Possibly even her parents.

- Raine & Darius just lost an old classmate of theirs, Steve lost a friend, and can you imagine the guilt Katya and Derwin must feel knowing that they could’ve prevented Lilith from succumbing to the curse. ( Spoiler Alert : Even if they knew to rip her arm off, they wouldn’t be able to move to help her out in time. )

- The amount of survivor’s guilt that would plague everyone who didn’t die during the draining spell.

- Going back to Clouds on the Horizon. Did anyone else catch this ?

- “Please, let me do this as a—”

- No doubt Lilith was going to say ‘as an apology’ or ‘as a way to make up for everything I did.’

- She was ready to admit that yes - she was the one who cursed her own sister. She was the reason why they can’t do magic anymore. She was the reason why Eda was so closed off to everyone for so many years. She was the reason why Eda and Raine broke up.

- Her actions led to Eda having a life of heartbreak. Lilith caused so much pain for her own sister and she was to blame.

- The amount of self loathing and hatred that festered inside of her bubbling down to the point where she felt like the only way to make up for what she did was to take her own life. Lilith was more than willing to let herself go if it means that Eda would survive. She may not show it often, but Lilith probably thinks so low of herself for what she did.

- You can see the pain, worry, and regret painted all over Lilith’s face here when Eda shuts her down. Going through with this plan, everyone knows there’s a high possibility that Eda would die if the plan worked. There was an even higher chance that they’d fail and they’d all die.

- You can tell with how the older people look at Eda. Lilith tearing up, Raine constantly having anxiety-filled expressions when Eda isn’t looking, Darius having eye bags beginning to form under his eyes. They’re all visibly scared.

- Except for Eda, she stays positive. She has her kids to worry about, the odds may be against them but she’s going to stay strong for Luz and King no matter what. Which is a huge character development from where Eda started off. She continues to do this even with her fellow adults. Giving them the reassurance they desperately need.

- It is unrealistic ? Technically, yes. But it also showcases how far Eda has come as a character. Staying strong for those she loves, and arguably herself. If this was Eda from the first episode she wouldn’t be acting like this. She’s matured and blossomed into a great sister, mentor, friend, lover, and mother. The world is falling apart but that’s not going to stop her, she’s a mom making a difference for everyone.

💫 I know it’s highly unlikely anyone is going to die, but GOD I WANNA GET THIS OFF MY CHEST BEFORE OCTOBER 15TH AUGHH Lilith is such an underrated character and deserves more attention, the amount of development these two characters have gone through is so delicious to think about. The fact they’re both willing to die for the other is heartbreakingly selfless and honestly I can’t wait to see them in season 3 <3 As well as the rest of the adults
