I'm not a fan of the reboots and remakes of just about anything that has come out in the past couple of years. But... And it's a big but, if we are going to be doing reboots and remakes of any shows, then I believe it should be the cancelled shows from the 2010s.
I'm talking about Deception 2013, The Tomorrow People, Pitch, Still Star-Crossed, etc. These are the shows that need to be rebooted or remade. I'll even take a continuation. They were taken away too soon, they deserve a second chance and 3 seasons of 15+ episode at the very least.

Do me a favour and reblog this with a show you like that was cancelled after only one season. I don't mean shows that were always meant to be miniseries or shows that work perfectly well as a standalone story, or shows that might still get renewed. I mean shows that are and will forever remain unfinished. The more obscure the better.

Favorite fictional female day 19
Rosaline Capulet
I don't mean form the 2022 movie, although that's an ok-ish movie, or the original Shakespeare , mostly cause she's a non character in that.
I'm talking about Rosaline Capulet from supremely underated book and one of tvs most tragic cancellations Still Star-crossed. It's just so good please please go read this book or watch the show ( the show got cancelled early and ends on a clif hanger so be warned) cause it stars lashana lynch!
In it she is capable and charming. She deals with a difficult political and personal situation. She doesn't role over to the people in power but she also understands that you can't be flagrantly disrespectful without consequences.
I don't want it to seem like I'm diminishing her character to a romance, because she is certainly great independent of that, but it is at its heart a love story. The spoiler free rundown is that it's a relationship the very much builds both characters up by building trust as the navigate a difficult situation.
*** Mild spoilers ***
It's a romance between her Benvolio Montague are in an arranged marriage to help settle the tension after Romeo and Juliet's deaths. They start out mildly disliking each and grow to trust and respect each so so much! They literally have to deal with an impending war so it's not like they are just falling in love with no regard for what's happening in the world.

Still Star Crossed to me will always be a show that came before its time and left too soon. I feel like if it were to come out now with how more diverse period dramas are more popular and vastly followed it would and could flourish

Ok... I'm rewatching Still Star Crossed, and this show is even better than I remember. It will surely join the list of the worst shows unfairly canceled for me, even if, I know, the spectators were not there for the show, this is mainly due to, I give it to you in thousand, the lack of promotion ! Damn... but the platforms and the channels actually learn to do their job by force !? Also, a very nice thing and there are no sex scenes (so surprising for a Shonda work) ?! Apart from kisses there is nothing, and I find that refreshing after having seen so many shows with excessive ass over and over again. Oh and I'm so in love with the princess Isabella. It had already marked me at the time, but much more after this rewatch.
